Intent: To create a mid-grade civilian armor
Development Thread: If Required
Manufacturer: Ceredir Industries
Model: Beltirenhen
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: Minor - plates can be replaced
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Armorweave, titanium, duraplast, carbon fiber polymer, mylox fiber, general padding

Classification: Multipurpose
Weight: 4 kg
Quality: 5
Special Features:
  • Blaster resistant
  • Slugthrower resistant
  • Somewhat slash-resistant (much more so on plates as opposed to fabric)
Strengths:
  • Added survivability - the three types of plating, combined with the fabric itself, drastically increase survivability of a hit
Weaknesses:
  • Heavy, especially for children
  • Not effective against lightsabers
  • Mass Produced - Wearing the wrong size will negatively affect effectiveness
  • Weak points - Plates that could have been present have been left out to reduce weight
  • Kinetic damage - A hit from a weapon with kinetic effect will transfer a significant amount of that kinetic energy
Description: The wars raging throughout the galaxy are touching on everything. From peaceful assimilations of worlds such as Honoghr and Naboo to the bloody messes of Coruscant and Mirial, factions are expanding. Where families once felt safe inside their homes, that may no longer be enough.

Insert the Beltirenhen. Created for civilians to add a bit of extra protection for uncertain times. Designed for children as well as adults, the torso armor features titanium, duraplast, and carbon-fiber polymer strike plates backed by armorweave and is capable of stopping a glancing hit or strongly mitigating a direct hit by blaster or slugthrower. While indeed protective for civilian-grade gear, it is civilian-grade, and should not be treated as military armor by any means. This will not stop or slow a lightsaber blade, nor does it provide much protection against kinetic force.

War can be ugly, and Audren realizes this. Attacks among civilian populations are getting more and more common, and while he couldn't provide a way to stop that, he could limit the damage. The Beltirenhen armor is a step in that direction. The armorweave fabric contains mylox fibers for added resistance to blaster bolts. The chest and back each have two titanium plates for maximized protection against direct hits to the most vital areas. Angled duraplast plates aim to deflect rather than stop incoming fire, and carbon fiber polymer plates safeguard important areas less likely to be hit. Important to note is the fact that the armor is designed for the basic humanoid body: head, two arms, and a torso, with the torso containing the major organs.

The armor is sold not far above the cost to manufacture, the reasonably low profit margin an attempt to allow more beings to afford it. This is the upgraded version to the Tirenhen, and as such is heavier and slightly more costly. Ceredir Industries is willing to partner with governments or organizations who desire to subsidize the cost for civilians under their care, to provide this safeguard to those who need it.
