Private Below the thunders of the upper deep...

Dominic barely understood the techno-babble that Holly spoke and just simply nodded and pretended he understood. As she was working away, Tek entered asking if anything was wrong. Dom turned back to the Nautolan and tried to explain. "Uhhhmmm.... The hyper cell.. conductor is fried...." Holly overheard his... attempt, If you can call it that, and corrected him quite quickly. "The primary hyper cell condenser has been knocked out and the hyperdrive is just repeating it's last instruction. And the navi computer is all but dead. The only way to leave to hyperspace is to either reset the ship's power, or to just take the hyperdrive completely down."

She started to set the ship up for a power cycle, though she was hesitant in her actions, once they had left hyperspace, there was no way of getting back into it without first repairing the hyperdrive. The last planet they put into the navi-computer was Ryloth, but that could've changed since the blaster hit them. Who knows where they were headed. "
Dom, once we leave hyperspace... If we can't fix the ship then we'll be stuck there, and if we come out too soon then we'll never see civilization again." Dominic placed his hand on her shoulder once again and closed his eyes. "Trust the force, let it guide you"

He began moving the force through his body and into her's, trying to use his own abilities as a conduit for her to really connect to the force, and hear it clearly.

Tek furrowed his brow as he listened at first to Dominics attempt at interpretation and then Holly explaining. Admittedly the particulars were utterly lost on him 'Hyper cell condenser" he hadn't the vaguest clue about. But he got the idea, it was given an instruction, but now it was just doing that one over and over. He tried to think, obviously, he felt fear. But he'd been in danger before and wasn't going to let it get the better of him this time. The difference was that he actually knew what he should be doing in most of those situation.

He took in a breath, so...crash? Maybe, or end up suffocating, or starving, or something. He hesitated, "Could we...count? If you know the speed of your hypderive, and know the time between here and the next location, maybe we could kind of...estimate it? We don't have to be spot on, just in range of their communications systems to send out an emergency call right?"

Really he didn't know much about this stuff. He didn't even know if it was possible for an organic to make an accurate calculation like that. And she did say that the destination might have changed. He heard Dominic mentioned the force, but Tek had no training in that matter either. And didn't even realize he had access to that himself.

"If we knew where we were headed, then we could possibly do something like that, but with the navi-computer like this, we can't be sure." With a deep sigh, Holly eventually closed her eyes and placed her hand over a certain set of buttons that would cycle the ship's power, shutting off everything for a brief time. She didn't know exactly what she was supposed to be waiting for though. A sudden urge? A voice telling her to do it? She guessed that she would just have to wait until something unusual spiked up.

In general though, the experience of the force was a weird thing to her. It seemed so strange yet almost like she had always known it. "Tek... In case this doesn't work,
it's been nice knowing you for the few minutes we've known one another.
" She felt it necessary to atleast give the Nautolan her farewell in the event this doesn't work.

Seconds later, she felt something surge through her body. And almost without thinking, she moved her hand and dragged a lever down. Almost immediately, the ship left hyperspace and the inhabitants of the ship were left floating while the power cycled, while the ship corkscrewed through space. After about 15 seconds, the power returned and the ship seemed to be holding together. A quick glance out the window and Holly saw a planet and instantly recognized it as Jakku. The giant craters were still visible from the war almost a millennium ago.

Tek furrowed his brow as she answered his question, so, they were really quite lost then. He sat down, as he understood just how bad of a situation they were in. He sat, uncertain how to feel. On the one hand, he knew someday he was going to die. He just didn't really think that this might be it. At the same time though, some part felt certain that it wasn't over just yet.

He glanced up as he heard Holly speak, letting out a smile, though he wasn't entirely sure now was the time for that, "Yeah, you too. Didn't really expect...this." he said quietly, setting his spearblaster on his legs and running his hands over it in waiting for the results. And then...they came out. he griped the ship to steady himself as they ship corkscrweed until finally calming down. He got up and looked out the window and relief washed over him, a planet. It wasn't exactly ideal, but it meant they weren't dead.

"Well...we're not dead." he said letting out a nervous laugh.
