Living Force Wellspring
STRENGTHS
In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night: The ring is imbued with a passive form of Force Inspire, causing the wearer to radiate a sense of hope and bravery. Even in the darkest of moments, allies in their immediate vicinity can’t help but feel emboldened and reassured.
Hidden Reserve: The ring acts as a wellspring of the Living Force, granting the user a small, temporary boost to their capabilities for a brief period of time.
Stalwart Guardian: The ring is borderline indestructible due to the immensely dense structure of the dolina seed it was fashioned from.
WEAKNESSES
Forced Limits: Has a tangible force presence that can be detected. Similarly, Force negating or suppressing effects can (and will) interfere with the Force related functions of the ring.
Weight Of Purpose: The ring is HEAVY. Unless you are attuned, it weighs a hefty and mind boggling 9kg.
Darkside Need Not Apply: Darkside users find themselves unable to attune to the ring. Should the user fall from the light and become corrupted, the ring will gradually grow heavier and heavier as it turns inert.
Shallow Depth: The wellspring only provides a limited quantity and is quickly drained. Once emptied, it requires several days to ‘recharge’.
DESCRIPTION
Taking its name from one of the founders of the Jedi Praxeum movement, Belmont's Resolve very much exemplifies how bravery and greatness can spring forth from even the most unlikely of places and the most humble of origins. Like the Farseer traveling bag, this ring was originally only provided to members of the Jedi Praxeum that were expected to venture forth on assignments into the darkest, most dangerous regions of the galaxy. Perhaps as a statement on how that descriptor now frequently extends, it has become a much more common sight in the hands of those outside of the Praxeum in the last few years.
Belmont's Resolve is very simple in design (much like it's namesake). With the ring shape formed naturally from a Dolina seed, very little crafting was ultimately required to make it fit for purpose, although due to its ridiculous hardiness what little was required was a considerably lengthy and laborious process. But then, what is bravery without a little hardwork and sacrifice?
