Private Be My Eyes

Days after her encounter with Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim , Kay found herself having not taken any action. Yet. Instead she worked at her shop during the day, listening closely to the conversations going on between her customers, getting a more proper gauge of what was going on out there. Of course there was the holonet as well that she could utilize, but first she'd have to weed through the propaganda that filled pretty much every corner. So many egos were inflated on the holonet that it almost took a slicer to get her to find the truth.

Kay found it overwhelming. Maybe it was her age or the fact that she had kept herself isolated from everything for a time. Regardless she couldn't protect her children on her own. She needed help.

Pulling out her holo projector, she set it on her desk and recorded a message, looking a little worse for wear and not nearly as regal as she used to be:

~Hello Kaine. It has been some time and much has happened during that span. I can't compare our losses that we've suffered and that's not what this call is about. I have a request. Could you please be my eyes and look after Lori? She's meddling in the affairs of the Eternal Empire and in turn agents of the Empire are aiming their crosshairs at Caedyn and myself. I'm not saying that I want her to stop. If I was her, I'd be doing the exact same thing and I'm proud of her for her convictions. I'll speak with her soon, I'm sure. but my means of travel is quite....limited. Please keep an eye on her and if she clearly needs help, is way over her head and is too proud to ask for it, please be help her. I'll owe you one. Thank you.~

Turning off the recording, Kay sent it off to the last channel where she knew how to reach K Kaine Australis . Whether or not he'd receive it, she didn't know. But it was the thought that counted. It was only one of many steps that she needed to take in order to protect her children. Caedyn Arenais and Lori were both adults, but she was still their mother. It was still her duty to see to their safety. Veiere would have wanted it that way.
