Mialsa Mabriton: The name of the mine where a constituent of turadium is mined, and the mine is exploited into a mountain range. The portion accessible to the public is much older and is run much like a museum on mining history, with some tunnels being built as faithful reproductions of ancient mining operations and technology, with antiques for mining equipment exhibits across several historical eras, some of them even dating back from pre-spaceflight technological stages, while the main production zones are off-limits and employ thousands of workers on a daily basis to produce one of the constituents of turadium for the many industries in operation around the city. it has suffered little damage during the Netherworld, since the main shockwaves in the Force were mostly occurring in the residential and commercial areas.

The industrial park: The turadium mill provides for the entire city's supply of turadium for the manufacture of starship components, such as hull plating, hull frames as well as other components commonly used across the galaxy in military-grade components. Naturally because of the high volume of turadium production, it is also used to produce turadium for other industries on Shawken making use of the material, making use of local labor and materials. Naturally, because the production of turadium is not that clean, the pollution level of the entire industrial park is pretty high. Also there are a number of industries manufacturing starship components in that area of the city. As with the mine, it has sustained little damage during the Netherworld.

The municipal dojo: Rebuilt in the wake of the Netherworld, which has nearly destroyed it as a result of the Netherworld manifestations causing the dojo regulard to disappear and leaving earthquakes in its wake causing extensive structural damage, the municipal dojo is a location where the residents of the city come to practice martial arts, mostly as a means of self-improvement more than for any real combat training. It features a meditative garden, complete with a pavilion and built according to the principles of what the local residents call feng shui, where religious services are sometimes held for the residents in critical moments of Shawkenese culture. Also used for sword arts and meditation in motion, which have regained in popularity after the fall of the One Sith.

The general hospital: The main hospital of the city, it was nearly completely destroyed during the Netherworld, due to it being close to the epicenter of one of the Force-tremors that were part of what caused so many Shawken residents to disappear, and was rebuilt almost identically to the original architectural plans of the hospital. It features 400 beds with a wide variety of medical care to the patients and is the hospital that remains in operation at all times of the day, especially due to the requirement of providing high-level trauma care. As with most medical healthcare facilities on the planet, it makes use of local staff and equipment whenever possible. Due to its relationship to the local medical school, it is also used as a teaching hospital to train medical personnel.

Description: Bassun is a city that is located at the base of a mountain range, where a mine of one of the constituents of turadium is located. Unfortunately, this led to the mountainside areas of Bassun being more heavily polluted than residential areas, especially since heavy industries capable of producing starship components are not entirely pollution-free, much less when metallurgy is involved. It would seem that the city expands alongside the side of the mountain, with residential areas being further away from it than industrial or even commercial areas. The city covers about 1,000 square kilometers with the more upper-class districts being farther away from the mountains than the working-class districts. Due to the densification taking place in the commercial areas, this leaves a lot of room to grow the population of the city while not expanding the city limits.

History: Built ca. 750 ABY by the end of the Gulag Plague, began its life as a manufacturing town at the behest of the powers-that-be of the time. Chosen for the construction of a factory that built starship components, the location was located rather close to a mine that produced one of the constituents of turadium, which also became part of the city. As the starship component factory expanded, so did the city, with Zuguruk Tyuk Industries taking over the city's main factory several decades later. Eventually other industries, mostly connected to the manufacture of weapons and starship components, chose to set up shop there and it became known across Shawken for being a major center of arms manufacturing, especially space-borne ones.

The past fifteen years were rather tormented, as refugees from other war-torn One Sith worlds flocked to Shawken in an attempt to flee the ravages of war, and the city was, right up until the Netherworld, one big construction site where refugees built cities in an attempt to get a new life away from the warzones on the One Sith's eastern borders, ravaged by war from multiple enemies, among which were the Republic and the Mandalorians, as well as the One Sith's own expansionistic incursions to the east and the north. During these fifteen years, the population of Bassun ballooned to nearly a million residents, up from only 300,000. Understandably rapid growth caused many problems to the municipal infrastructure that were being resolved in the last five years.

During the Netherworld, which occurred during the reign of the One Sith and, later, the fall of the One Sith, the city was devastated by multiple manifestations of the Netherworld, losing a few dozens of thousands in population and suffering heavy material damage in the process, especially since the earthquakes occurred closer to residential and commercial areas, devastating several districts and causing the disappearance of people due to the damage. At the behest of T'zanith, alias [member="Darth Erebos"], the King of Shawken at the time, IGR Brokerage was commissionned to rebuild the city, complete with housing and the corresponding need for hospitals, schools, and suitable locations for business centers and business parks, small or otherwise. Under Cathul's suggestions, densification allowed better use of the land while avoiding the pitfalls of both brusselization and manhattanization, while at the same time making use of local labor and materials for rebuilding the city.

Intent: To provide an additional settlement on Shawken

Could you please add some more details as to how the city was ravaged by the Netherworld event? There's a lot of references too it, yet it doesn't quite say how such damage was inflicted.

Once that's taken care of, we should be golden.
