(Describe in detail the special features of the technology item. )
Strengths:
- The very durable Phrik Hilt is mostly indestructible, and with the butt spike is more than capable of being used as weapon on its own.
- Dual-Phase Blade gives the wielder extra reach over most melee weapons, not to mention the ability to change lengths on the fly.
- The length of the hilt makes the weapon surprisingly unwieldy in enclosed spaces.
- The hilt and thus the saber overall are much heavier than normal, and can be tiring to use in an extended duel.
- The combination of overall length and weight mean that this is not a graceful duelists weapon. Much of the classic art of wielding a lightsaber is simply lost on this weapon.
Bass cannot remember when or how he crafted his lightsaber, those memories were never recovered in the dark horror where he rebuilt his mind. But he knows it is his, for as far as lightsabers go it is highly unusual.
Heavy and brutish in design, it is a mostly featureless phrik hilt capable of sustaining incredibly punishment. The blade is not necessarily long than normal for a lightsaber, but can seem so given the length of the hilt and features the versatility of a standard dual-phase design. Once a brilliant silver, the glow of the blade seems to have 'tarnished' and now appears to be dull and almost iron. It is also noticeably wider than the average lightsaber (although not dramatically so). The blade burns much hotter than normal thanks to its crystal, and while this is unpleasant and unnerving (and could potentially catch things on fire) it does not otherwise give more cutting strength over other lightsabers.
In combat the weapon defies most lightsaber techniques simply because of its design. Brute force and anger appear to work best with it, and coupled with Bass' cybernetically enhanced it can make for a terrifying display.
