Designed by Druckenwellian engineers as a capable transporter and distributor of Confederate ships, the Banshee-class Carrier exists as the standard carrier deployed alongside major operations. Like most vessels within the Confederate Navy, it is built to last! Its hulls are composed of several layers of durasteel and duranium, which, when coupled with standard deflector shields, grants the Banshee-class Carrier a highly-effective battlefield longevity.
As a whole, its primary role revolves around the safe transportation and launching of its complementary vehicles, which consist of eighteen squadrons composed of bombers, interceptors, and fighters. To this end, the Banshee-class Carrier is equipped with an assortment of armaments which can be focused on the close, immediate cover-fire required to safely launch vehicles, or the distant cover-fire required to assist Confederate ships from evading destruction as they attempt to return to the Carrier's landing bays. However, while capable, it is noted that its overall capacity for weapons is not as large as it could be, as the designers used every available inch of spare space to allow for the story of additional vehicles.
In terms of deployment, this vessel is typically seen alongside "Stargazed-class Transports", as its complement can provide cover-fire against enemy forces long enough for said Transport to ferry its troops and vehicles to an intended destination.
