Description: The BISCIT is a refinement of two pre-existing technologies. The first is the interface technology which allows Shards to control droid bodies. The second is the CCIR technology which permits Tsils to interface directly with synthdroids and needles. The BISCIT unit allows crystalline lifeforms unprecedented finesse of control over a variety of hardwired electronics. With a BISCIT unit, a Shard, Tsil, Rainbow Gem, etc. can control droid bodies, vocabulators, terminals, and so forth. This isn't really progress for Shards, but the BISCIT is meant to give other crystalline lifeforms that same kind of opportunity. The main caveat is that the BISCIT unit only works on living crystals of sizes comparable to Shards and Tsils or smaller. Human-sized silicon-based life-forms are out of luck. It should also be noted that, unlike CCIR technology, the BISCIT does not facilitate electronic control of the life-form. The BISCIT can be linked to power sources or outfitted with energy cells for autonomous use. It is omnicompatible.
