Bamuf is a large Talz with razor sharp claws yet maintains a somewhat docile image when not in combat. He doesn't particularly understand the alien customs of clothing and will usually be covered only by his fur or a few token scraps of cloth Bamuf dons in an attempt to be respectful. He takes a peculiar interest in making sure his fur is clean, washed and neat giving him a 'fluffy' quality.
The Talz Tale
Born on the frozen Talz world of Alzoc III, Bamuf had an unremarkable life until the day pirates working for a Hutt gangster trapped and took him off-world. Bamuf was torn from his relaxed, tribal lifestyle and became a slave of the Hutts, forced to fight in gladiatorial blood sports. At first, Bamuf killed only in self-defence but after many more matches than he could count which all ended in the death of his opponent, he learned to switch off his moral compass in the ring and deal with foes efficiently. The Talz, famed for his bulk and vicious claws became a favourite in the death matches, passed around and sold to many Hutt slavers. Eventually Bamuf found himself in the possession of a Hutt with a taste for more explosive battles. The Hutt found great amusement in giving high tech weapons to his fighters. In his mind, species such as Wookies or Talz were primitive and the very idea of them using blasters or other such weaponry was amusing. Over several matches, Bamuf learned how to use a flamethrower and a satchel of grenades then unleashed them on his captors. It was a daring story of escape and revenge climaxing with Bamuf stealing a shuttle complete with a weapons cache from his Hutt master. But as he floated away from the uncharted spacestation in the outer rim used to hld him for most of his adult life, Bamuf found himself without a place in the galaxy. He didn't want to return to Alzoc, it had been too long, his experiences had changed him. He'd killed people. There was no way he could face his tribe after that. So he set a course for the closest planet of a comfortable climate to live in: Hoth.

Bamuf built a modest living for himself alone in one of the most isolated places in the galaxy. Keeping his shuttle from the Hutts as his homebase, Bamuf used the shuttle's coms to listen in on news, curious as to the state of the galaxy. Over time, the endless propaganda of the First Order had an affect. The vile Hutts, slavers and other criminal ilk were the result of disorder. The opposite side of their spectrum was the First Order. Under the First Order, no one else need suffer the years of abuse Bamuf had. When word spread of recruitment of an alien military unit loyal to the First Order, Bamuf knew he was lost no more. He took his shuttle to the nearest Imperial base and offered his services on the spot, listing his combat experience.

He now serves as a loyal member of the First Order's Auxiliary forces.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
  • (+) Bulky brawler - years of combat experience and natural bulk mean this Talz is not someone to engage with in hand to hand
  • (+) Explosives expert - Tinking with the Hutt's weaponry has given Bamuf an eye (or four) for demolitions
  • (-) Communication - Although able to understand basic and Huttese, Talz biology means he cannot speak anything but his native tongue
  • (-) Pyromaniac - unusually for an arctic native, all things hot, fiery and explosive have an unusual attraction...
  • (-) Book Dumb - Coming from an isolated tribe to slavery and an even more isolated existence haven't exactly left Bamuf with the greatest understanding of how the galaxy and many cultures in it work
