SPECIAL FEATURES

- Burns for 10 minutes at temperatures at or above 578 C

- Fuel sticks to whatever it touches, insuring that anything hit does not escape the wrath of the flames.

- Makes a contained area impassible, for the most part.

- Lightweight casing makes throwing at a distance easier.

STRENGTHS

Area Denial: The splashed fuel covers an area (floor, wall, trees, etc) and ignites it, causing a long burning wall of flame that is uncrossable except for by creatures immune to flame or the most brash of enemies. It burns at extremely high temperature, so it should deter even the heartiest of Force Users.

Anti-personnel: If it splashes on an unprotected individual, it can cause third degree burns and long lasting damage, or worse. It also heats up metal, including the nigh-impregnable Beskar, to the point where it becomes like an oven and can cook someone inside.

WEAKNESSES

Double Edged Sword: While it prevents the opposition from moving through an area, it also prevents allies from doing the same.

Throw and GTHO: Don't plan on staying in the area of the blast- while small, it can be hit while in the air and prematurely detonate. This spews the fuel in a two meter radius and ignites it. Don't get splashed.

Not ideal in exceptionally hot places: Extreme temperatures can set the grenade off while still in the bandolier. Bad day for whoever is wearing it.

DESCRIPTION

In order to fill the role of area denial for large military operations and PMCs alike, Balmorran Arms decided to enter the market and sell to well-paying customers. It turned out to be a lucrative venture indeed.

They researched archaic technology and found a particularly vicious compound that, when ignited, burns for a lengthy amount of time and causes extreme damage to those who are exposed to it. They created the grenade in such a way that it splashes a general area with the fuel, then blasts outward with flame to start a self-perpetuating burn for an entire ten minutes.

As for test subjects, well...

We won't talk about that.

The weapon proved exceptionally useful for its given purpose, but also for anti-personnel, going as far as to superheat metals and transfer that effect to anything inside. That rendered most armors ineffective at defending against its immense heat.

With this new technology, Balmorran could begin contending with market leaders in the small-explosives area.

Please add in the portions of the ranged template not currently in use here. Submissions with an area of effect like this should utilize that template.
