Backwater Security Corps is the next addition under the Jast Shipwright Co. With the ability to produce weapons, Ships and Armor, Hala wanted to go full spectrum. The Solution was to take a cut of the Shipwright Co. profits and invest them into hiring a few good guys and gals.
The Company operates under the umbrella of Jast Shipwright Co. providing security for their locations and fleets, but is otherwise left to its own devices. Hala sometimes takes them with her on missions as is her right.
Consisting of a Head Quarters Company and three other Companies the Corp is broken down much like an actual Battalion sized element of the modern Military. The HQ holds the Commander (CEO) and the Instructors. After recruits are trained in whatever they specialize in they are sent to a line company where they can be hired out and dispatched to various places around the galaxy.
The Company itself is a benevolent Equal Opportunity Company. They tend to keep to the more ethical Factions when taking requests. It would not make sense for contractors that trained together to be killing each other at the hire of opposing factions.
The benefits package of the company includes health care, housing, board and good pay. Families of the contractors are looked after and given a stipend if their loved ones die in a conflict. All in all it is a tidy little operation, able to provide work to drifters, spacers and whomever else needs to escape their current situation and get a fair shake in the verse.
RATIONALE
Hala invested some of Jast Shipwright Companies earnings to create the initial company an then left it to run under its own leadership with a guideline set of rules.
