SPECIAL FEATURES

• Two fine "mandibles" or manipulator arms with 5 lbs lifting capacity with three 360-degree rotational joints for complete maneuverability and micro-adjustment controls that allowed for better than one micrometer placement accuracy; both manipulators have a 12-inch reach and are fully retractable within the body when not in use. The mandibles are equip with a multitude of tools most useful for botanical research and field work, including pruning shears, syringes, soil probe, pH meter, measuring tools, lenses, and trowel.
• The "thorax" compartment is equip with air-tight temperature controlled compartments for preserving liquids and organic samples.
• Much like an actually spider, each of the legs it uses to walk on include a system built to replicate the setae and setules structures and the Van der Waals force in the tips, allowing the droid to scuttle about at any angle on solid surfaces. When it's not walking, the tips of the legs can retract and reveal miniature repulsorlifts which allow the droid to navigate the air, though it cannot travel more than 30 miles per hour.
• This droid also comes with a portable charging station backpack which holds its own limited charge and allows the droid to be easily worn/carried while powered down or in standby mode. This portable charging pack in combination with the "solar-charge mode" allows for the user to maximize the battery life and maintain power far beyond that of a normal droid of its size.

STRENGTHS

• Size and Maneuverability: Small and bug-like, this droid can navigate tight spaces and reach areas the average humanoid cannot. Its ability to fly and crawl at any angle on solid surfaces also makes it extremely maneuverable.
• Versatility: The droid's design can be tailored to accommodate a wide range of attachments, such as small tools, cameras, or sensors, allowing it to perform various tasks.
• Efficiency: With its specialized programming and capabilities, the droid can work quickly and efficiently, enhancing the productivity of whomever it is assisting in the task it specializes in. It can perform repetitive tasks with precision and accuracy.
• Programmed Expertise: The droid can be programmed with extensive knowledge and expertise in specific tasks or area of expertise. It can offer guidance, recommendations, and insights based on its programming and experience.
• Stealth: The droid's size and design allows it to hide easily and move quietly.
• Durable Exoskeleton: Due to the materials used to create this droid, it has an exceptionally durable exoskeleton, even against lightsabers, which allows it to be able to collect samples and navigate field work even in extreme conditions, including radiation, dangerous chemicals, and extreme temperatures.
• Solar Powered: The droid has a "solar-charge mode" which allows it to use sunlight to charge while in standby mode by deploying little photovoltaic arrays.

WEAKNESSES

• Limited Strength: Due to its small size, the droid may lack the physical strength required for some tasks. It may struggle with tasks that involve heavy lifting or significant force.
• Limited Autonomy: The droid's capabilities are limited to its programming and design. It may not possess the ability to adapt or problem-solve in complex or unpredictable situations, relying on the guidance of others.
• Limited Communication: The bug-like design of the droid may restrict its communication abilities, such as speech or facial expressions. It may rely on beeps, lights, or basic text displays, which can limit its ability to convey complex information or interact with humanoids effectively.
• Learning Curve: While the droid can be programmed with specialized knowledge, it may lack the ability to learn and adapt over time. It may require regular updates or reprogramming to keep up with changing technologies or evolving techniques.

DESCRIPTION

B0-DE59 is the "Alchemy Assistant" version of the B0-DE57 labor droid he developed several years prior on Coruscant to aid him with his mechanics and engineering. Inspired to build a droid for Leshanna Dromar , Haro developed the B0-DE59 series with special features that would aid her in her studies with her mentor, Madrona A’Mia . As a student of Kor'ethyr Academy, Haro had far better access to more durable materials and tools to create this new and improved version of his little labor droid.

This droid combines both mechanical and insectoid features, resulting in a compact and agile design that aids its functionality. The droid is shaped much like a jumping spider, and it's roughly 12" in diameter and about 8" tall.

At the front, it has three large compound eyes, equipped with advanced sensors and visual modules, allowing it to perceive its surroundings with precision. On its underside, there are additional ports or connectors for interfacing with external devices or equipment. These ports would facilitate data transfer, power supply, or attachment of specialized tools specific to the droid's intended purpose.

It possesses articulated limbs, resembling mandibles, which can be extended from its body or tucked away. These limbs are equipped with various tools and attachments, such as small manipulator arms, with a multitude of tools specialized for its tasks. It moves with a quick and nimble gait, reminiscent of a spider, allowing it to navigate complex environments with ease. The mini-repulsorlifts also allow it a slow hovering flight with intricate control, granting it further access to hard-to-reach areas.
