B-B-B-Bennie and the Jedi

CHALACTA, CHALACTA SYSTEM
TEMPLE OF ILLUMINATION, JORDIR

@[member="Ben Watts"]

Tyrin strolled idly through the Temple of Illumination, admiring the architecture. Chalacta was fast becoming a favorite planet of Tyrin. The culture was rich, the weather pleasant in the parts he had visited... It was mostly a population center of a planet, which made Tyrin hanker to add it to his territory. It wouldn't be a difficult annexation, the planet had no shortage of problems. Since they were near-humans, Imperial propaganda would no doubt rub them the right way when the Empire came calling. But those were all plans for another day. Today, he was here on more official business to meet another individual of high importance: the Jedi Grandmaster.

This really was a good planet for making history. The first treaty between the Empire and the Republic had been signed, and now the Sith Emperor and the Jedi Grandmaster would be in the same room without trying to viciously murder one another. Tyrin was never opposed to meeting new people, but the other Sith would no doubt find his inherently friendly nature completely un-Sith-like. Whatever. They could keep such misinformed opinions. If they stayed alive long enough to see his plans truly unfold, their opinions of him would shift. Or he'd kill them. Maybe if they really annoyed Tyrin, both would occur. He liked to keep things flexible.

This Ben Watts character was supposedly a friendly one himself. At least, that is what Tyrin garnered from the holo-mag, which had also stated he had electric boots and a mohair suit. He was tempted to buy into such statements. Jedi were a weird and wonderful sort. It had been Watts who lead an attack on Metalorn's largest munitions plant, as indicated by security footage and the after-action reports filed. That made Tyrin sad. Did he have any idea how many people would have been put out of work if that planet had been destroyed? Far, far too many.

Well, whatever. Bygones would be bygones for the immediate future. Better they meet face to face and gauge one another in a scenario outside of combat.
