ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Active Decoy System - As opposed to more conventional chaff, the Active Decoy System launches a self-propelled, droid brain-controlled, disposable unit designed to mimic a much larger target and seduce incoming projectiles or temporarily 'blind' targeting sensors. It is ineffective against stealthed opponents or weapons, but it can be fired 'blind' (i.e. if no attacker is detected, just incoming missiles). Only two rounds are carried, but if properly employed they will make a missile volley miss or scramble a conventional fire control solution for several seconds.

Strengths:
  • Distributed Duties: By splitting the roles in the bomber up, each operator (pilot, gunner, bombardier) is far more effective at their job, able to devote almost their entire attention to a single task. These craft are hard to catch off guard, and are eerily precise in bombing runs.
  • They brought extra: A pair of conventional warhead launcher is not the only heavy-hitting armament, the H-Wing also features a bomb bay capable of fitting much larger forms of ordnance such as proton bombs or thermal detonator cluster munitions.
Weaknesses:
  • Overspecialization: The other side of the coin is that if any of the personnel are incapacitated it is very difficult to assume control of those stations (though backups exist for piloting controls at all three cockpits). The ion cannon turret and bomb bay cannot be controlled from anywhere but the designated seat.
  • Strikers over Fighters: The H-Wng II is distinctive and easy to pick out of even a swarm of strike craft. Enemy commanders know to target it first.
  • Exposed Cockpit: The turret gunner, being raised in a superfiring position, is fairly exposed, vulnerable to interceptors even given the heavy shielding of the craft. If the gunner is taken out the turret is rendered inoperable, and the Bomber losses any for of offensive capability to its rear.

DESCRIPTION
As the TCAF began to organized and form they identified a distinct lack of really heavy-hitting firepower in their forces. While the Centaran Gunsip was a serious threat to similar sized vessels and frigates against even larger ships (uncommon in pirate fleets but not unheard of) the inventory of the MPTC was hurting. Taking page from the Rebel Alliance of yore (and because of the lack of materials to mass produce large line of battle ships) shipwrights on Jabiim developed a large and powerful strike bomber to fill the role.

The H-Wing II follows a similar design concept as the venerable BTS-A2 it is based off, with a multiple distinct cockpits and an emphasis on distribution of labor. It is similarly armed, with a dorsal ion cannon turret and forward mounted laser cannons and warhead launchers. A large bomb bay is a new addition, designed to give the craft a punch similar to that of the larger K-Wing Bombers.

Defenses are focused on very heavy armor and shielding and enough engine power to get the craft where it needs to go. It is not a quick vessel though, and is easily caught by interceptors or pursuit fighters, but the vessel is rugged enough and generally has enough firepower to punch through, though doctrine calls for it to be escorted anyways.

The H-Wing II is fairly large and not typically carried in hangers, but it has a powerful hyperdrive (and two astromechs, for added utility) to keep up with any fleet formation.

When the MPTC was dissolved in the wake of Sith encroachment, the plans for the H-Wing II were leaked to a number of prominent politicians and military advisers who fled the system. It has since been seen on the other side of the galaxy, flying the colors of the Sanctuary Systems Liberation Army.

Looks fine to me. Just one technicality in our way:

Sublight Speed: Low Maneuverability: Low

We're not technically supposed to change the template fields (Rule #5). If you'll change these to "Maneuverability Rating" and "Speed Rating", this will be good to go.
