STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ As a Yuuzhan Vong, Azal is both absent of the force and resistant to the vast majority of a force wielder's techniques. He's also, as is customary, raised as a warrior, knowing how to effectively wield organic weapons common amongst the Yuuzhan Vong.
+ Azal is highly proficient in the arts of stealth, assassination, melee/mid-ranged combat and scouting.
+ Prides himself on agility.

Traits and Characteristics:
The most noticeable piece of Azal's appearance is his mask. Masks, as Azal was taught, are symbolic both towards his shaping process and his Escalation. Azal wears the mask to hide his face from those unworthy of viewing a mutilation as beautiful as that which was bestowed upon him. As all Yuuhzan Vong do, Azal believes that, that which is sacrificed is returned to Yun-Yuuhzan, the Creator. Azal chose to sacrifice the majority of his body, including his arms, legs, and head, the result being: An Escalated Yuuhnzan Vong whom had greater intelligence, strength, technical accuracy, height, long hair-like appendages on his head, and anthropod-like mandibles, although like before, he still possessed no visible nose. The mandibles appeared where Azal's mouth once was. Azal's development was praised by the Master Shapers of his domain.
Although already symbolic by itself, the Mask also serves Azal's ceremonial purposes. If possible, Azal would remove his mask and don it on his dying enemies in a duo effort of both revealing his face to his victim and also to "amass his offering." Azal believes that he has the ability to capture the essence of one's soul via his mask. This is done in an attempt to offer Yun-Yuuhzan a bigger offering when he himself dies. Azal's "collection" also ties to the beliefs of the Hrosha Gul as they believe that Yun-Amon, the Cannibal King, will eventually consume all the other Gods.
