STRENGTHS

• Straight Line: The Axeol Class is built with overly large engines for a vessel of its size, allowing it to achieve high velocity, and pursue smaller vessels, including some starfighters.

WEAKNESSES

• Cumbersome: The large engines on the Axeol Class provide the ship with high speed, but very low turning capability. To make anything resembling a controlled alteration of its course, the vessel must come to either a near full stop, or carry out an extended, arcing turn.

DESCRIPTION
The Axeol Class Heavy Frigate is an ancient design, dragged up from the dregs of history. Originally a mining freighter for several outlining worlds in the Outer Rim, the Dominion of Shadows have retrofitted the design to serve as a temporary warship. Isolated to their homeworld, and lacking the resources and manpower of other nations, this small, outdated warship is hardly the match of other stellar nations craft of similar size. Lacking other options, however, the Dominion has committed to the full scale production of these vessels, as they prepare for their expansion into the stars.
