ADVANCED SYSTEMS

  • Modified Probe Launchers:

    Anti-Ordnance EM Probe, this probe has been modified to fit the Axanar-type station. When launched this probe disrupts electronic guidance signals of smart munitions in-flight causing them to crash and miss their targets. This EM Probe is installed with the hopes of preventing missiles from hitting the station. Ultimately though this only affects smart missiles leaving the Axanar vulnerable to dumb-fire missiles.

Advanced Electronic Countermeasures:

  • 4x-Phantom, along with its [SIZE=10pt]built-in[/SIZE] full spectrum distortion and dedicated energy receptor projectors is a high output sensor jammer. The first part is the full spectrum component to block all scanners and targeting computers. The second part of the Phantom jammer works by blocking and absorbing all incoming long-range sensor pings and transmissions by enemy ships. Given that this technology was made for a starfighter, it was adapted to the civilian station. However given the adaptation, it is not without its flaws, first and foremost the technology does not render the station invisible to any one sensor. It does, however, make it a little more difficult to scan, and detect and again makes it harder for smart missiles. The station can still be scanned and targeted with enough time and/or superior technology.

Advanced Engine:

  • Destron X MK VIII, this engine designed after the invasion of Anoat does not possess a reactor core and cannot jump into hyperspace. Instead, it has an extended set of chambers, tanks and additional cooling systems that aid in overall Space Station performance. The Axanar can move on impulse and moves slower than the maximum allowed rating from the engine. Due to the Destron’s unique construction, it leaves behind a trail that can be easily traced.

Advanced Shield Systems:

  • Semira, an added defensive measure this shield is strictly for emergency purposes only. Activated as a last-moment defense, the shield can either siphon off enemy energy from vessels in close range or it can temporarily grant “immunity” to capital grade weapons for a short period of time converting plasmatic energy from enemy weapons into shield regeneration. Outside of this component, the Semira is a standard deflector shield, both components have large cooldown times and only one function may be selected at a time. Because of this, the Semira is not recommended until the aforementioned last-moment defense. It is essentially, a one-time use in combat unless the engagement is long enough for the shield to be used twice.


Strengths:

  • Point of Commerce: The Axanar station provides trade, giving the region it resides in a point of commerce boosting the local economy.

  • Environment-Friendly: The Destron engine burns a little cleaner than most ion engines making the Axanar an environment-friendly station.

  • Semira: Equipped with the Semira shield system, the Axanar has the capability of either [SIZE=10pt]siphoning[/SIZE] energy from enemy ships or diverting plasmatic energy from enemy weapons into shield regeneration.
Weaknesses:

  • Cooldown: The Semira’s capabilities while great lend her to choose one or the other as the cooldown times of either one and a half minutes or three minutes.

  • Vulnerable: She is vulnerable to missiles, and ion/emp weaponry being hit with either one of these could leave the Axanar with catastrophic consequences if not a fatal.

  • No Weapons: With her role as a designated trade/repair station, and completely civilian operated the Axanar has no weapons to her name leaving her unable to defend herself.

  • Sitting Duck: Due to its inability to jump into hyperspace, the Axanar is, in essence, a sitting duck. Even with impulse engines moving a station of her size is no easy task, making her a ripe target for anyone who is capable.
Description: The Axanar-type Trade Station was and is intended to be Primo Victoria’s contribution to various regions within the galaxy by providing a way for commerce. It is also a way for the Victorian Engineers to get live-feed data from the Semira shield. Of course, the hope is that it will never have to be used but if it does, the team will be able to gather the data and put it forward into a second generation of the shield if necessary. Initially, the Semira shield system was developed for the First Order but had been brought over by Fiolette Yvarro the lead on the project at the time.

The Semira shield system is an advanced shield system designed to give the ships or in this case the station it is protecting the last chance of survival. Included in the defensive package for the Axanar along with the Semira are the 4x Phantom Short-Range Sensor Jammer and the Anti-Ordnance EM Probe, the former is set to block to scanners and targeting computers within short range and has a chance at blocking at long range but there are superior long-range sensors that have been developed and thusly can penetrate to scan and target the Axanar.


The Anti-Ordnance EM Probe which has been retrofitted to the Axanar has been designed to disrupt the electronic guidance signals from the smart missiles, however; given that this only effects said smart missiles. Dumb-fired missiles have an easier go at hitting the Axanar Station that being said the station is still vulnerable to ion/emp weapons along with the traditional dumb-fired missiles.
