The breeze traced the terrain wrapping around Kaine. Snow flakes fell sporadically, the visibility was limited due to the pure volume of precipitation. Kai's chin rested against the crest of his left elbow as he exited the shuttle. His thick coat was barley enough to take the edge of the frigid air. Kai's coral eyes peered through the gap created between his arm and hood. Kai followed a lead on a Sith burial site, the dark presence that lingers around a sarcophagus is a great asset when training and studying dark art of sith magic. The rest of the burial grounds that Kai had discovered had all been moved by the Jedi order, they made it extremely difficult to locate a fallen dark jedi.

The fierce weather brought a halt to all transportation for the foreseeable future. He was not concerned with finding a place to stay, be it guilt, theft or robbery he would find shelter from the galling winds. The best gossip and lore in every city can be found in their cantinas and that was his next destination. The streets were growing taller as the snow collected. He trucked through the snow, his shoes catching resistance. The cantina was straight a head. As he approached the door he leaned his body against it and swung it open. Very few of the patrons even acknowledged his entrance. It was better this way, he needed to travel undetected until he found what he was searching for.

A quick glance around the bar was all it took for him to get a read of the atmosphere. Depending the planet or the crowd he has the ability to channel either a light or a dark aura, sometimes it is better to scare the enemy and other times blending in is essential. Today he needed to make sure no one discovered his true inentions. Approaching the bar his hand pat the table twice, the barkeep met his gaze as a gentle nod followed and a drink was in route. A water slid in front of him. The bar seemed calm, and that is just what he needed to eavesdrop and pin point a location from the locals.

Many aliens were confined in the cantina, the bar was over crowded as everyone was seeking shelter. Kaine recently received a tip from a smuggler on Dromund Kaas. Supposedly a man with a scar on his left cheek was traveling the galaxy as he tracked down sith artifacts and relics for the Jedi order. A tall man that always carried a DY-225 heavy blaster pistol on his right hip. He was hired help with a lot of experience and knowledge on the sith and their artifacts. Supposedly the next one he was hunting was here on Hoth, thus the reason Kai hopped on a shuttle to this hunk of ice. Of course the gratification he took in tying up a loose end brought him comfort in his long journey. That smuggler did not stand a chance, his body was left in the maintenance shaft on his own ship.

There wasn't much of a description to go by, but the blizzard worked in his favor as it brought many people close together. He would be able to scan through the civilians much quicker having them all in a confined space. His fingers took turns lightly tapping his glass as scanned the room for possible similarities. The amount of possible matches in the cantina was abundant. He was going to need to get a closer look, he secured his drink in his hand, and arose from the stool. He started making his was through the crowd. His eyes shifting back and fourth as he began to rule people out after confirming they were short a cheek scar.

After about twenty minutes of searching he bumped into a man that was in the process of standing up. Kaine was unable to observe this mans face as his back was to everyone in the bar. Kaine purposely let some of the water in his glass spill onto the back of his jacket. The hope that he would turn around on his own accord was expected. Like clockwork, the giant figure rotated to face him, annoyed with the 'accident' that had just occurred.

"Watch it buddy, you have no idea who I am." A deep murmur escaped the mans lips as he was now standing face to face with Kaine. Kaine's eyes locked onto the scar on his cheek, an identical mark to the one that was described to him back on Dromund Kaas. The man was tall and his clean cut hair hinted at the fact that his experience was from a militia of sorts. His demeanor was a sign of his experience, but it would be his confidence that would be his undoing.

"This galaxy is full of ruthless scoundrels, smugglers, and killers, no one ever knows who they happen to bump into." Kaine's reply was his sick was of foreshadowing this relic hunter's misfortune.

A grin grew as the artifact hunter raised his brow. What this stranger fails to realize is he is not being smart mouthed by a peasant, he is being toyed with by a predator. Kaine had a long history of acquiring what he desired. In this case, he was playing with fire extending the conversation past a simple apology, but he was in rare form as he wanted to blow off some steam. Maybe he would interrogate him in front of the whole cantina, the audience would make him sweat. Kaine returned the smirk as he sized up his mark.

"You know buddy, you are lucky that I don't pick on people who are smaller than me." This man's attempt at nobility sounded more like a weak excuse of a supposed hunter. His right hand moving his long coat behind the holster on his belt. The black handle of his gun sticking out catching the end of his jacket. "If I wanted to I would squash you for ruining such a nice coat, but I am going to let you slide."

"My how merciful of you, if only I could learn to show so much mercy for the weak." The sarcastic lining would only be caught by someone fluent in sarcasm. Kaine's hand twitched, his first interaction with this man was to grab his whip and slice him apart, he wouldn't even turn it on, just make this man suffer for his arrogance the old fashion way. Nevertheless his reality was he needed to keep him alive until he was given clear instructions on the location of the tomb. This tomb was more than just a place containing dark energy. Finding the remains of a Sith Lord would help understand the meaning of being a Sith.

Kai's eyes shot to an embroidery on the grip of his pistol as he walked away Hector Voslum. It would only be a matter of time until the snow lifted and Kaine would be able to bring hector somewhere they could talk alone. Nightfall was vast approaching and no one at the cantina seemed to be in any hurry to leave. Kaine could overheard the owner coaching his employees on the worse case scenario of all of the customers having to stay here over night. Apparently there were a few rooms upstairs for rent. Everyone who couldn't rent a room would be left to lay down where ever they could. Curiosity washed over him as he contemplated a plan, but it would require him to manipulate his friend Hector into staying in one of those rooms. Getting him upstairs on his own accord was the tricky part, once he was inside with Kai, the interrogation and execution would be done by morning.

The only problem is that hector works for the jedi, so there is an over whelming good chance they prepared him for bumping into sith and helped him to withstand force manipulation. Kaine would have to trick him the old fashion way. This was too important to be arrogant with his tact. He needed to figure out something that would make it seem like it was Hector's idea from the start. He continued hovering around the table hector stood up from. When he walked away before he headed to the bathroom, so he would probably come back to the same seat. There he was, rounding the corner he started cutting through the crowd as he headed towards the table. Kaine reacted quickly as he patted a random stranger on the shoulder and spoke loudly.

"Man there is only one room left for rent, after that we all have to find a place to sleep in the lobby if they weather doesn't clear up." The stranger looked at him completely confused.

"Well it's actually taken so don't plan on asking about it!" Hector blurted out as he headed towards the bar. Manipulating people is almost as fun as killing them.
