- Cargo Capacity: Very Small. The walker is meant to carry only the soldiers weaponry and maintenance supplies.
- Almost completely automated. The Walker has need for very little crew, with an integrated astromech droid brain. The ATAW can move on its own, having only need for an pilot to provide directions for its controls, since all its maneuverability comes from its automated settings, those are able of being shut down so that the pilot performs it by itself.
- Due to lacking much of what other walkers have, its only weapon is meant to compensate that. The ATAW is meant to be one of the powerful canons found in the galaxy with very little being able to stand in its way, and what its gun lacks in rate of fire it makes it up for its raw and destructive force, the heavy particle canon is most handled by its gunners.
- Integrated Droid Brain: With his integrated droid brain, the ATAW has need for very little crew and can self-guide itself, needing only an direction and enemies to watch out.
- Higher Fire Power: While not operated by the droid brain on this walker, the Heavy Particle Cannon carries is a force to be reckoned with with an effective range of five kilometers with such power that it could destroy bunkers in a single shot. The gun is operated by two gunners, having little need for cooling down before each shot.
- Higher Maneuverability: The ATAW is fast, very fast if compared to other walkers found in the galaxy.
- EMP Damage: With limited Internal EMP and Ion Resistance, the ATAW is very sensitive against EMP weaponry.
- Clumsy: Due to its higher maneuverability, if driven by an eager pilot that shuts down its automated settings, or even if his cannon shoots in the wrong angle, the ATAW can loose its balance and entwine both legs, causing a disastrous accident.
- Can't Operate Without Crew: The ATAW can't operate its gun by itself, he needs his crew to do it for him. If his crew dies, the ATAW becomes nothing more than a unarmed walker.
It started as the whim of a petty dictator imposed on the minds of Automatron. But when Lunafreya Solidor, Duchess of JanFathal snapped her whip and barked her orders, the best course of action was doing what she desired, otherwise 'heads would roll', she enjoyed that, quite a lot, sometimes she did it by herself and chopped off the head of someone that displeased her with a swing from her golden singing scythe. And so, Automatron once again began to do what they were told, they started a project that would be become something even greater.
The creation of an automated walker, one that could maneuver itself when in the face of danger by implementing a droid brain in its machinery. Due to Lunafreya's demands, of how she wanted something to be as quoted 'the fastest metal ox in the galaxy', the walker became impossible of firing by itself without an minimum crew operating its devastating weapon, however, the brilliant minds of Automatron solved that issue by introducing a very minimum crew inside the armored vehicle.
To deliver such weapon in the hands of a murderer like Lunafreya Solidor, and worse, to that bunch of fanatic warlords that the New Imperial Order was famous for hosting. They almost destroyed this creation, tried to burn every holodisk and every data regarding this construction, but they halted. Perhaps due to fear, perhaps loyalty, they didn't know then and they still don't know now.
