+/- Valkyri Aging: As a Son of Midvinter, he ages slower than normal humans do.
- Humble to a fault: Aurellis is not one to quickly take credit for an accomplishment, even if it is a great one.
- Weak Immune System: An encounter with a Sith relic and a few hours spent lying unconscious in the cold snow of Midvinter at an early age has left his immune system permanently weakened.
- Young and Inexperienced: Having spent most of his life on Midvinter or a Jedi Temple, Aurellis is not very versed in a lot of the things that normal citizens of the galaxy would take for granted.​

The young Valkyri would, at first glance, appear to be a regular adult human being with pale skin, short golden-blond hair and light blue eyes. However, he is not a full grown adult yet, as his species ages slower than normal humans do. Aurellis usually wears the traditional garbs of a Jedi, however on special occasions he will also wear more colourful and extravagant clothing that was given to him by his family when he finished his training as an initiate and became a Padawan. He enjoys wearing the more colourful robes sent to him by his family, however mostly due to their cultural heritage, not so much the familial connection to his parents and siblings.

We begin our story on a remote ice world, many, many light years away from conflict on a peaceful world named Midvinter. Here, a family by the name of Arterius lived as the residents of a small piece of land where they had created their home. Here, one stormy night, a young boy was born by the name of Aurellis. This child was very much like his siblings, a true Valkyri, but in one aspect he differed from the rest; He was sensitive to the Force. This difference did not affect most of his early childhood, when he got to roam the wilderness with his older siblings, explore the mountains behind the manor they lived in or went out to watch his father fish at the wide river just over the hill.

However, one day a visitor came by, dressed in brown robes. Aurellis quickly liked the man's soft spoken and kind nature, yet he was not able to spend much time with him. Every time he tried to talk to the man he was always sent outside by his parents, which he didn't quite understand, but there are many things a young boy does not understand. One such thing was something shiny Aurellis found buried underneath some snow when he went for a walk with his older brother. Aurellis didn't quite know how, but it had called out to him, demanded he come closer, and when he got separated from his brother, Aurellis went to find this thing calling out to him. When he dug it up it turned out to be some kind of red pyramid shaped object, surrounded by an unsettling, yet captivating aura. The young Aurellis wanted to show it to the rest of his family and to the man, so he picked it up and carried it back home.

On his way, however, he started to feel weaker and weaker with each step, until blackness overcame him. When he next awoke he was in his bed, his head hurt and the man in brown robes was sitting next to him, performing what seemed to be some kind of ritual to the young Valkyri. He didn't stay awake for long, however and soon he passed out once more. The next time he regained consciousness however, he was in a completely different place. It felt warmer, it smelled differently and everything was far too bright.

The young Aurellis had been taken to a Temple of the Jedi Order by the robed man. It was now his new home. He would not see his family for a long time here, which had caused him some grief at first, but he adjusted to his new environment in time. Here he became a youngling of the Jedi Order. The Valkyri quickly proved himself to be quite the courageous little Jedi, so he was assigned to the bear clan, where he made many friends during his years as a youngling. In his studies he learned much about the Force and the Galaxy as a whole. He discovered things he never thought to be possible, like metal doors that open when you approach them, or making things float only using the power of your mind and the Force. He wasn't very good at it, however instead he excelled at the control based techniques he and his friends were taught.

However, it quickly turned out that he was a bit weaker in a way, often becoming ill or feeling sick. The doctors said his immune system had been damaged permanently when he was young, but that he could still become a Jedi, just that he would have to take special care of himself. And that he did; The young Aurellis focused much of his time meditating and resting, allowing the Force to replenish much of his health and strength whenever he fell ill.

He continued to train with the rest of the initiates, learning to become a better Jedi day by day, and for the most part he was able to keep pace. He did not excel as much in some of the physical aspects, but he proved to be quite talented with the more subtle, yet equally as important control aspects of Jedi Initiate training. During their training the Valkyri also proved to be very courageous, able to pass some of the more scary tests without any real problems, and when his friends had trouble, he would quickly step in to help or protect them.

Then, when it was time to continue down their paths towards the next step in a Jedi's life, Aurellis was lucky enough to become a Padawan not assigned to one of the Service Corps, he was allowed to go down the path that would eventually lead him to becoming a Jedi Knight. But that story is for another time.

High-Knight: Aurellis uses the power with little to no effort, only requiring as much concentration as the skill is complex.
Knight: Aurellis uses the power with some effort and also needs to divert some of his concentration towards the skill.
Adept: Aurellis is used to handling the power and can control it, though he needs to focus on the skill.
Initiate: Aurellis needs to divert most, if not, all of his attention towards the power he's trying to use.

A lot more headaches were involved in my facial expressions during this character's creation. Deciding on a first name alone took 3 hours. Praise be to lord Gaben, though.
