Intent: To create a sword for a rival, and ally of Atheus, and to show he has what it takes to join Alkor in the Mandalorian Empire.
Development Thread:
Manufacturer: Atheus/Cerberus Enterprises
Model: Atropos - Sword of Fate
Affiliation: [member="Alkor Centaris"],
Modularity: Limited, Sword can be reforged, but not changed in any way.
Production: Unique
Materials:
Classification: Sword
Size: One-handed, Two-handed,
Length: 1.2 meters
Weight: 3.5 kgs
Special Features:
  • Sith Sword
  • Anti-concentration Effects.
Strengths: (Provide, in list format, a minimum of 1 strength of this submission.)
  • Its a Sith sword. As such, its lightsaber resistant, Reflects blaster bolts and has the canon lightning rod effect.
  • Sword made out of Lamanium allows it to heal or mend from impacts upon the blade, and allows the sword to be reforged quite easily. However, the forger has to wear protective gear around the heat to prevent the adverse effects of the blade. If destroyed in battle, you can gather the shards of the sword, and forge them back together very easily. However, this cannot be done in the middle of battle, and takes much longer than just a few seconds as it is placed in an alloy, instead of residing by itself.
  • Much like it's sister sword, Kyro, THe sword has an effect emitted from the blade itself. Unlike a freezing ability, it emits an Anti-concentration/Dampen force bubble around the user of the blade. This is from altering the Ysalamir Blood, and Alkor's blood in the alchemy process. Anyone, including the user will feel their connection to the force weaken, and for non force users, can lose concentration. This can have effects such as messing up aiming, striking, or general thoughts. Acting much like a signal scrambler, it disrupts the mind, and the force anywhere within 3 meters of Alkor when the blade is drawn.
  • Dark side Nexus, thus it can alleviate some of the dampening effects upon the wielder. It can darken the user in the force the more often its wielded, having them grow a much stronger connection to the force. while it is minimal, its enough to warrant it's knowledge.
  • Sword looks dope with the red blade.
Weaknesses: (Provide, in list format, a minimum of 1 weaknesses of this submission.)
  • As a Sith sword, Its much heavier than other swords of the same size and shape. Thus it requires more training to use effectively, and can wear the user out in prolonged fights against lighter weapons such as lightsabers.
  • The Dark side Nexus can be felt even when the sword is sheathed. While it is barely felt when held in it's scabbard, it would feel much more prominent when drawn.
  • An Adverse side effect upon anyone in the bubble, is that when the blade is wielded you can can hear the voices of all the people Alkor has killed over the years. Increasingly so when he uses the sword more and more. The voices will become louder and louder over time, with more people falling to his hands. Only this effect is much louder in Alkor's ears, Those who are drawn to Force Empathy, or are Empaths, Will find a very hard time trying to stay within his area as the emotions can be felt, and disrupt anyone in the area.
  • All of the effects of the sword can affect the wielder as much as anyone else.
  • Because the sword is being held by Alkor, and is made by his blood, any direct connection to the sword causes him to hear the screams, crying, and possibly the pain of all of those he has killed.
  • The swords effect cannot be turned off. Only sedated by being placed in its custom sheath made out of Voidsteel, and Ysalamir hide. Preventing anything from getting out.
Description:
There are many reasons to use a sword over a lightsaber. One is that the weight of the weapon allows for a much more powerful stroke than that of a lightsaber. Another is that Sith swords, or weapons altered my alchemy can retain special effects and strengths over any other kind of lightsaber. Thus, Atheus set forward to make a blade that was true to this. However, it is not forged completely by himself.

After finding an ally out of Atheus, Alkor sought after the Voidwalker to create him a sword to suit his needs. Atheus accepted on terms held between just the two of them. It was from this, that Atheus created the sword physically, but used his body as a conduit, or a proxy for Alkor's power within the force. Draining him of his power, and using it to create said blade.

Named after Atropos, The Goddess of Fate and Destiny, Atheus and Alkor used their combined strength to forge the weapon. After the process, A sheath was made specifically to house the blade, and to provide some form of an "off button" for the weapon. Which is to simply not use it. Having the ability to cause headaches, and for others even puking in the middle of battle, and the weak of heart, can even faint from the pure energy of the weapon. WIth a force nullifying effect upon anyone within a 3 meter radius, It can effectively take a Master level down to a Knight level, and Knight to apprentice, and apprentice to be very minimal.

Its from this that others can hear the faint screams and cries of pain. Forged from his own blood, the screams come from the blood spilt by Alkor over the years he has been killing. When drawn, Alkor will always have the voices here. Screaming into his perfect ears (dear god what is that thing), to cause him more pain.

Shaped much like an arming sword, or a Knightly sword, it is demonic in its color and form being serrated to cause more pain upon those who feel it's blade.

Fear Alkor when he draws upon the blade. For he should cut upon your string of fate.

Hi [member="Atheus"]! I will be reviewing this submission.

Footprints in the Sand - Development thread for Voidstone to be used in Voidsteel, Alkor has joined the Mandalorian Crusaders and his way of living up until now has been thrown in flux. He meets with Joza Perl, and the two learn several things about one another, including a particularly surprising fact..
  • This thread, as well as the previous one linked in the first post of that thread does not qualify for the voidstone challenge.
Void Stone: With two or more characters that your character does not already know, get trapped in Otherspace by a hyperdrive accident and escape. OR: Perform a mining operation, a raid, an excavation, or steal to obtain small amounts of Void Stone (suitable for Limited production or less) from any of the following planets: Kayri, Elrood, or Caeliar. As with all restricted materials, this objective applies to the use of derivative materials (such as voidsteel or Velokite). Note that derivative materials often have specific affiliations.

[member="Jamie Pyne"], I am sorry to say, but the thread was started in August. Which would mean it would be placed under the old standards for the devlopment thread. Correct? And as such, the rule was changed October 11, while the last post in the question thread was October 7th.

I would like to ask that the thread be held to the old standards as it was started and finished before the rules were changed.

Reference of rule change date.
