TRAITS
Fortune Builder
He is by far not a mastermind trader, but Aton has learned a bit more about the way trade works than the average man. He can make ends meet easily enough.
Gardener
Aton is a farmer. When not helping the cause he finds great pleasure in tending to his own little patch of homegrown vegetables.
Temperate
The man can exercise self-restraint and has a pretty good grip on his vices.
Diligent
If you set yourself onto a task you best complete it. Bide your time and ensure it comes out on top.
Kind
Treat others as you want to be treated yourself. There’s really nothing else to it.
Brave
You have to be in this line of business. Flying ain’t always for the faint of heart.
Content
Aton already has it pretty good. Why bother changing it?
Cynical
Religion has gotten everyone so far in this galaxy. Just look at the rifts between Jedi, the power struggles of the Sith. Yeah, Aton has so many reasons to support that madness.
Proud
Yet despite all of the simplicities of his life Aton does not mind feeding his own pride. He knows he is pretty great and he know that the obstacles he has overcome are all overcome by his quick wit.
BIOGRAPHY
There really isn’t much to say about Aton. He was born and raised on Yavin IV with his family and clan. He spent most of his life with his father [member="Falcon Gyndar"], mother [member="Aaralyn Rekali-Gyndar"] and sister [member="Mira Rekali"]. It may have been fate, or maybe the force as his mother would insist, but as life would soon ever so merrily laugh in his face he was the one in the family who had drawn the short straw. Whereas his sister and mother had an unquestionable connection to the force it was Aton who had the weakest of them all. He wasn’t capable, not like Mira, but he was capable to a degree. Telekinesis, the basics of lightsaber combat and how to push and pull at critical points all over the human and-or-otherwise body were tricks that had helped him more often than not.
To say that he was incapable would be a lie. Early in life he picked up an interest in the simpler joys of life. Teasing and annoying his twin sister, helping people around the Yavin temple with the more simpler aspects of maintaining and feeding an order. It was through connections within the Order that Aton wasn’t immediately sent of to the AgriCorps, but he still ended up there. Not because he had no other choice, but because of random chance. Growing up he really took to the life out on the fields. Harvesting food, planting the seeds for future consumption and feeling the gratitude from the others as another summer’s harvest was delivered.
He was always a nice kid. Diligent, kind, the sort of kid that a parent would dream of. He used to have the patience of a saint, but they say that all changed after his sister disappeared. The boy who had been somewhat something of a loner began dedicating more and more of his time to work on the more practical aspects of life. Flying, hiking and camping. An odd combo, sure, but when your homefront was the Yavin wilderness there was plenty of challenges to be had.
It was, of course, a way to work at the anxieties that he kept contained within him. His sister was gone and he was helpless to do anything. He had tried to stop her yet in the end he had failed. Had he even tried? He made a promise to kill her if she got lost and not long after that she did. Was that his fault? He kept working out, kept practicing his skills in the hopes of one day being able to do something to save her, or at least find her again.
But things would take a turn for something completely different. Not long ago he ended up within the company of his relative. [member="Ember Rekali"]. That was, if anything, the point when Aton would start to define who he was. Not just as a Gyndar-Rekali, but as an individual.
It was time to leave the nest and see what the galaxy was all about.
