BIOGRAPHY:
Atiniir was born on Nar Shaddaa, the son of a Mandalorian warrior and his wife. Atiniir's family line can be traced back to Atarik Starrider, one of the most famous bounty hunters in history, but at the time of his father's death when he was two, Atiniir was the last man in the galaxy to still carry the Starrider name. His father was killed while pursuing a high-risk bounty, and his mother, never quite comfortable with the Mandalorian lifestyle, refused to allow Atiniir to train as a Mandalorian and instead took her son and fled to the far Outer Rim so nothing could bring her son back to the heritage that flowed through his veins. Unfortunately, fate is a cruel mistress. Soon after they left Nar Shaddaa, the family shuttle was attacked by pirates and Atiniir and his mother were taken captive. While aboard the vessel, Atiniir's mother, recognized as a Mandalorian and a Starrider by the special wedding ring she still wore, was beaten considerably by the pirates, who had suffered at the hands of Mandalorians before. They were going to sell the mother and kill young Atiniir, but then fate sent another twist. By sheer luck, a ship belonging to the Shadow Runner pirate fleet intercepted and boarded the pirate vessel. They found the young mother, beaten to the point of death, and took charge of her son with the promise to never mention the Mandalorians to him, ever.
Atiniir was raised by the pirates, and taught by them the ways of war. He knew nothing of his Mandalorian heritage until the Shadow Runners happened to hire a Mandalorian bounty hunter to assist them on a particularily troublesome raid. Atiniir had no idea what a Mandalorian was, and probably wouldn't have, except the hunter happened to be his father's former right hand man. Miraculously, the hunter recognized Atiniir immediately and demanded to take charge of him. The pirates, remembering their promise to Atiniir's mother, steadfastly refused, but the hunter himself would not be swayed, and finally the decision was left to Atiniir, who was seventeen and, in the eyes of the Mandalorian, already a man grown. Atiniir agreed to go with the man, and soon after was learning about his remarkable heritage. After a few months of travel Atiniir left the man to go his own way, vowing to not let the Starrider line die.
Unfortunately, the following months did not go exactly as Atiniir had hoped. Unaccustomed to being on his own, Atiniir had trouble finding work, even though his days with the Shadow Runners had ensured he was a more than capable fighter. Atiniir had a few successful jobs, including a wampa hunt that netted him a valuable pelt, but the credits earned didn't last long, and he soon ended up in a Nar Shaddaa bar with no money and no plan of what to do next. Miraculously, another friend of his father's, one [member="Brent Warnel"], found him there and gave him a second chance. After filling in much of the gaps his Mandalorian discoverer had left out, Brent assisted Atiniir in finding his long-dead father, left to rot in a temple on the planet Onderon. Atiniir located his father, giving him a proper burial and taking both his father's armor and a long-lost Sith lightsaber, which he kept as a trophy. Though damaged almost beyond repair, Atiniir was able to successfully restore the armor to its former glory.
Reinvigorated by this experience, Atiniir continued to seek bounty hunting jobs-more successfully this time-until a call was sent out from Mandalore. Soon embroiled in the Mandalorian Civil War, Atiniir was originally on the side of Mand'alor the Liberator, but after realizing the truth behind her rise, abandoned her cause for that of [member="Ra Vizsla"] and Death Watch. Serving loyally but fighting by his own rules, Atiniir served with valor in such battles as the invasion of Sundari, eventually being present for the final fall of Mand'alor the Liberator. During the battle for Sundari he found and became friends with one [member="Narir Tracyn"], a child at the time, taking him on as a younger brother throughout the conflict. They would eventually be separated, however, when Atiniir, tired of the ravages of war, left Death Watch to continue his bounty hunting career. Separated from his Mandalorian comrades, Atiniir was not present during their war with the Sith, and it was several years before he returned to fight beside vode once more.
A changed man, yet still very much the same, Atiniir devoted himself to the cause of removing the Sith from the galaxy, hoping to avenge the fallen and bring glory to the Starrider name once again.
