Established by Calix Loragwyn under the alias, Calix Lorran with the money he had left, Atelier is a company focused on profits so that its owner might be able to maintain his quality of life. In order to achieve this, Atelier employs the poor who are paid a minuscule amount of money for each saleable plushie sewn which are then sold at many times their cost. In contrast to this, Atelier's sweets are of high quality, created in small batches by skilled artisans in the shape of the company's mascots. However, this is not done because the company cares about the quality of its products but because these sweets are Calix's treats of choice.
RATIONALE
In order to make the most of the money he had remaining after his kidnapping, Calix decided to take a risk and start a small business in hopes of being able to maintain his quality of life. A child in an adult's world, starting a business of his own was not easy as adults never took him or his business seriously whenever he attempted to secure investors. Unable to secure any investors for his company, Calix was forced to start small and grow his company through his own efforts.
