What a day it had been... Or two days, for Adi hadn't slept so much as a wink the night before. Instead he had made his way back to the Rugger once parting with Aerin, with the promise that they would meet again the next evening to begin their adventure, and watched the world go by with a gabaki stick in one hand and a mug of caf in the other until daylight pooled in through the window on the smog laced world.
The day brought with it a small swathe of patrons, those who knew no better than to walk into a place like the Rugger during the light hours, and among them was a lost little lamb of a girl who seemed extremely out of place and out of touch. Naturally that meant he had wasted the better part of his morning in her company while resuming a long overdue game of Novacrown with Sinnat, the landlord of the establishment and old friend of the smuggler.
Upon leaving to return to his ship - in order to freshen up - Adi had then run into a group of hooligans picking on a blind girl of all things! While it was his usual style to simply walk on by, being a self-declared craven and all, they were merely boys and thus the stern authoritarian voice of an adult had been enough to send them fleeing in the opposite direction. Once he knew that the girl, who was barely more than a child by his standards, was unharmed, he finally made it back onto his ship and into the comfort of his refresher.
Now he simply sat there, staring at the wall across from his shower, musing on the past twenty four hours of his life. What an odd turn of events. Still, the day was dragging on and no doubt Aerin would be back at the Rugger soon - if she even meant to show up at all - so begrudgingly he dragged himself from the warm embrace of the refresher and into the cold air of his cabin. No doubt he would try to find time to rest once the ship hit hyperspace, by then Aerin would likely be just as tired as he.
He pulled on an outfit which closely resembled his attire from the night before, only cleaner, and descended the ramp which led back into the chaos of the City. Thankfully he wasn't too far from the Rugger, and so he made it there in record time. Now all that was left to do was to wait for Aerin to show, then they could hit the road. He still hadn't decided which planet he wanted to show her first on the way to his own destination, but that would come with time.
