Strengths:
  • Speed: The AT-LW is designed for rapid response. The Walker goes in fast, with optimal agility for its artillery power and damage ability.
  • Shielding: The AT-LW has what most walkers of its size do not; shielding. The ray shields, combined with the Alusteel hull provide excellent defense against small arms fire (Rifles, pistols, grenades, etc) and decent defense against anti-Vehicle fire.
  • Rugged: the AT-LW can stand against a lot of environmental hazards; frost, sand, water, snow, heat, cold, etc and keep on ticking.
Weaknesses:
  • Bipedal: While the bipedal design makes the AT-LW ideal for rapid response, they are also the war machine's greatest weakness. Take one down and the Walker is pretty much garunteed to fall. Or at least "Not be standing anymore." whichever definition you prefer.
  • Forward mounted: All of the AT-LW's guns are forward mounted, there are no side or rear mounted guns, and no turrets. Every weapon on the AT-LW faces in the forward direction.
Description:
RMIA's war machines have typically been slow, heavy hitting with heavy defense. And while its awesome to be ponderously slow and be able to level everything in your path--it doesn't always cut the mustard. Sometimes you gotta be able to go in fast. That's what the AT-LW is here for.

Her slender legs give this nice metal maid a crapton of speed for her punching power. When you need to go full tilt and chase down rebels or gurilla strike an oppressive regime, this is the little lady you wanna bring to the dance.

She will gladly pound through infantry with her flechete repeater, flay vehicles with her particle beam cannon, and roar through structures with her electromagnetic plasma cannon. Forcies who are left can answer to your Charric cannon--anything left standing can get pounded by your launch tube payload. Pretty sweet, right?

Honestly, her armor and weapon makes the AT-LW an ideal tool against pesky infantry and light opposition. She works well as a skirmisher, fighting on the fringes of any real combat situation to prevent ambush forces from flanking the main body of your forces. The AT-LW's speed allows it to move faster over the battle field than your average tank; if one flank is getting over run the AT-LW can move to aleviate pressure on that front quickly and effectively. In urban settings, the AT-LW is fantastic for patrols where heavy firepower is needed or rapid response as a precursor to larger forces. On uncharted planets the Walker serves it's roll well as a scout. The roles of this walker are just the general's imagination and brilliance.

The AT-LW's biggest weakness are its legs. The walker only has two legs, and while that does make for great speed, it makes for terrible balance. If one of the legs is damaged enough it will have to stop. If further damage is done to the same leg, there's a rather strong tipping hazard. And that's a pretty big deal that would put the old girl outta commission for a while. There is the old Luke Skywalker tie-it-up maneuver that works too, and the whole "Trip wire" thing that works as well (if your rope is strong enough and attached to a significantly strong enough pair of posts). Then there is the second fact that all of the AT-LW's guns face in the forward direction..... which is kinda not good.

All in all, its just a light walker for the board.

Manufacturer: RMIA
Your company does not have vehicle production listed in its operations, and is thus unable to produce vehicles. Please either submit a modification request to add this operation to your company, or change the manufacturer.

Armament: Moderate
The weapons you have listed are not moderate. Please reduce the amount of weapons you have listed here, for example: to the Particle Beam Cannon, Flechette Repeater, and the All-purpose launch tube.

Please make the amendment to your armament as requested, or increase the rating from Moderate to High.

I'm going to archive this until the modification is approved for your company's operations. Once that modification has been made this can be pulled out to finish judgement.
