STRENGTHS:
- Quick Thinker: Easily able to think on his feet and come up with solutions to problems most people barely have time to register, Artyom learned during his time serving with the First Imperial Medical Service that rarely on the battlefield was there the luxury of time.
- Medically Gifted: From something as mundane as wrapping a sprained ankle to performing emergency battlefield surgery, Dr. Kirilov has earned his reputation as an exceptional doctor. While specializing in trauma, his skills don't stop there. Developed over the course of the last 14 years, through both study and experience, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge regarding medical treatments, medications, and surgical tecniques allowing him to effectively treat a vast array of injuries and ailments.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES:
- Passionate: Artyom finds an extremely personal connection to his work, his life revolving around giving back to those unfortunate enough to require his attention. Though this increases the amount of effort he puts into his work, it also means he can become blinded by his dedication and has a hard time accepting failure.
- Empathetic: Dr. Kirilov has developed an acute sense of empathy that he shares with his patients. This can guide him to provide excellent medical care to those under his charge though it can cause him emotional complications and elevate stress levels.
WEAKNESSES:
- Primum non nocere: Not only is this a catch phrase for the Dr. but it's a code which he lives by. Since he'd joined the First Imperial Medical Service (FIMS) all the way to current day he's stayed true to the meaning of the phrase - "First do no harm." An extremely short shout out to the Hippocratic oath sworn by all FIMS personnel and the vast majority of doctors and medical staff. With this in mind, he is unwilling to do harm to others even if it means survival - though he will readily do so to save his patients. It's a double edged sword, which when wielded is more easily put to his own neck than those of others.
- Liquor: Always found with some form of liquor on his person, he drinks to hide the pain of those patients he's lost as well as to blur the grievous wounds he has witnessed during his time as a medic and a doctor with the FIMS and elsewhere. In the moment he can handle the shock of such injuries and graphic wounds but he pays a price, he always pays a price later on.
APPEARANCE:
Tall, of medium build, the dark haired doctor poses a striking figure, one more readily attributed to that of a soldier or a mercenary but he is none of these. His hazel eyes speak to an early life filled with traumatic experiences but rather than be broken by them, he has forged himself stronger.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on a space station, Artyom - or Arthur as most people called him, was exposed early to all manner of species. He grew up on a small medical station just on the fringe of First Order space. It was only natural that when he came of age that he signed up for the First Imperial Medical Service. He'd seen firsthand the order and safety that the First Order provided on some of their more populated worlds during supply runs for the small station.
