While Koensayr Manufacturing appreciates it's strides in creating capital weapons capable of decimating capital ships from a distance, sometimes it must cater to other needs of their customers. Not all battles are fought across systems. Eventually, the battling ships move towards each other and are able to use their other weaponry. The Artemisia is the first line of Koensayr's products for such times.
The Artemisia is a solar ionization cannon made much akin to a chaingun in design. The cannons barrel is made from several light barrels welded to a metal 'core'. When firing, the gun takes a moment to spin up before unleashing it's barrage of superheated, ionized light. Unlike the normal for solar ionization cannons, instead of a constant beam, the Artemisia fires a ruthless barrage of bolts. While not quite getting the same effect as a beam, it does it's job well. The bolts are capable of passing through conventional shields all the same, and can melt durasteel.

- Gatling Gun: The Artemisia design bares resemblance to that of a chaingun. After a few seconds of spin up time, the cannon unleashes a vicious barrage of it's payload onto it's target.
- Ionization: The solar ionization process of super heating light allows the Artemisia's beams to pass through conventional shielding.
- Shielding: While the Artemisia is capable of passing through conventional shields without issue, special shielding, such as molecular shields, are capable of stopping the Artemisia's weapons. Heat shields also seem to weaken the Artemisia's punch by draining most of the heat from each beam.
- Pause: The Artemisia is only capable of firing for 20 seconds before needing to cool down for 40 seconds and firing again. This is to prevent the heatsink from overloading and exploding.
