Zeradias Mant
Democracy Dies in Darkness
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
[*]Wealth: Slightly above average
[*]Notable Possessions: N/A
[*]Skills: Kaan is exceptionally skilled in battlefield command as well as martial governance.
[*]Personality: A living specimen of the finest caliber of warriors, Aron Kaan lives and breaths what it means to be a soldier. He is cold, shrewd, and impersonal, but is often sought by his senior political counterparts for his tactical assessments and advice. He has little regard for those of lower social standing, and is impatient toward those that display uselessness. He has little tolerance for individuals who have nothing to contribute.
Despite his contempt for the majority of the galaxy, he gladly takes advantage of networking opportunities with other members of the galactic community in hopes of courting favors for future contingencies. Though he'd be content glassing planets, Aron understands that the more friends you have, the less enemies stand to oppose you.
COMBAT INFORMATION
Originally a defector from the One Sith Army, then-Lieutenant Colonel Kaan was amongst the flotilla-in-exile en route to the Unknown Regions. While some gained a reputation by those above them, Kaan gained his from those below. Rumors of his battle history seemed to be all but confirmed in the Defense of Csilla from a One Sith Remnant siege, he threw bodies on bodies against the threat before them. This proved to be a largely inefficient tactic, but resulted in eventual victory. Men and women under his command feared being so, knowing their lives were expendable and fearing their commander had so little regard for them.
After the Iron Empire had established a more permanent presence, he was promoted to Colonel. Only seven months later, he was promoted to Brigadier General. In not just the Iron Empire, but around the galaxy, it was regarded as an extremely short time to hold a rank before being tapped to serve as a flag officer. Nonetheless, he was transferred to the Csillan Planetary Guard, where he commanded the home defense forces of the Iron Imperial capital planet and the capital city of Csaplar. His tenure was tested when Csaplar was attacked a criminal organization that the Iron Imperial Security Bureau later found to be a criminal collective called the Cabal. Though damages and loss of life was minimized, the attack still happened on his watch, something that he took personally.
After the collapse of the Iron Empire, the former Vice Regent and Chief of Naval Operations Zeradias Mant tapped Kaan to serve as the Lieutenant Governor of Galatine, the capital region of Arondight. Though his potential cruelty was not unnoticed, he was chosen all the same due to his experience with martial governance. Though a powerful role to be sure, he is fourth in the noble line of succession for the seat of the Lord of Galatine.
