+ Unnoticed: Slaves are seldom expected to be seen or heard, instead they fulfill their tasks with quiet efficiency. This allows Aro to see and hear things without detection, and while she may not act upon what she learns the knowledge may still be valuable.
+ Trained: Taught not only to obey but also to protect, although unknown to any save Semiramis and her tutor, Aro is handy with a dagger and will not hesitate to use it should those she serves are endangered in any way. She is also wholly literate, an odd trait given her status.
+/- Qadiri: Aro has all the natural strengths and weaknesses attributed to her people, including great navigational skills and a metabolism which demands a high nutrient intake.

- Slave: Her purpose is to first and foremost tend to the needs of the ones she serves; this limits Aro's freedoms and ability to move around, and in many ways hinders her personal development. She is unable to hide her status, due to the intricate markings placed upon her body by her Queen.

Born to, and raised as, a slave to one of the Qadiri's many Queens, Aro has known nothing but staunch servitude her entire life. During her youth she was given a few liberties, however when it was deemed prudent she was put to work. With time her obedience and efficiency was rewarded by better positions within the Queens Household until she was tending closely to Semiramis, who proved to be a firm yet fair authority figure.
Alongside this came many benefits, the most prudent of which being lessons in etiquette and literacy for an hour each day. With time she was able to read and write, though subjects pertaining to matters of State and Politics were restricted; knowing no better, the limitations were unnoticed, and Aro continued to work as hard as she always had. Little of consequence happened until a Master-at-Arms summoned her in the dead of night.
Under his tutelage she was taught the most efficient way to wield, and hide upon her person, a dagger; she was informed that its use was solely for the defense of her Queen, and her blind subservience shrouded the possibility of any other use from her mind. However, Aro's lessons were cut short without warning and within the week she was being shipped to foreign allies of the Queen alongside several other of the Household Slaves without so much as an explanation.
They were told only to serve the people they were being sent to as if they were the Queen herself, and while one or two quietly vocalized their disdain for the situation Aro simply accepted the instruction while waiting with nervous anticipation to see what changes to her life this would bring about.
