The Nexus:

The heart of the City of Myrce

The Nexus fundamentally serves as the core of the City of Myrce: it holds the main administrative, financial, and logistical buildings of House Savona and can be considered a sub-city of the City of Myrce. The Nexus itself is mainly constructed out of duracrete and durasteel, but the building foundation of the Nexus is constructed out of ferroconcrete, a molecularly bonded compound of 80% concrete and 20% iron. The Nexus contains three main floor: the ground level is the commercial district, the second level is comprised of several dozen hangar bays, and finally, the third level is the administrative complex for House Savona. In addition, the Nexus itself is protected with sixteen AG-2G Quad Laser Cannon turrets located in the circumference of the building.

The ground level is simply referred to the Plaza by the local populace and here, there are countless stores, entertainment venues, places of hospitality, and vendors, serving as the main center of commerce and entertainment. The Plaza most likely has the greatest density of people in the entire area, and is the only area open to all. However, it should be duly noted that the Plaza is also one of the most heavily guarded locations in the entire city, and criminals, thieves and smugglers are punished with swift executions.

The second level of the Nexus has exactly twenty small hangar bays divided into two different floors. The upper floor has twelve of these hangar bays, and access is restricted to members of the military and individuals of House Savona: trespassers into the area are killed on the spot. Here, House Savona houses its personal freighters as well as its sizable defensive fleet of fighters and interceptors. The lower floor has eight hangars, six of which are utilized by local industries for exporting its goods and two of which are open to outsiders. All hangar bays are equipped with a single tractor beam for loading goods and assisting in the docking of ships, as well as standard firefighting, refueling, and repair systems. Hangars are mostly manned by Arkanian Offshoots and assisted by T3-series utility droids for starship maintenance.

The third level of the Nexus houses the administrative and domestic buildings of House Savona. Most members of House Savona live within the confines of the third level, and is referred as "The Loft." Not much is known about the Loft, with exception to that it is rumored to be a living paradise of gold and ivory by the local populace.

The Abyss:

The center of the House Savona's mining operations in the City of Myrce: the Abyss.

The structures which constitute the entrance of the Abyss were created before the arrival of House Savona, most likely by the same creators of the Catacombs. However, unlike the Catacombs, the large stone gears which constitute the entrance of the Catacombs seem to be parts rather a structure itself. Dozens of such gears litter the valley of the mountain, dubbed "the Clocktower" by the local populace, which is a few kilometers away from the City of Myrce.

Historians believe that the gears were used for a great machine or factory, but scientists have proven that the gears did not have any function and would be impossible to utilize in a machine. After extensive prospecting of the area, House Savona found that the Abyss was highly rich in rare metals, specifically those necessary in complex and sophisticated electronics. Thus, House Savona dedicated the surface area above the Abyss as the focus of its mining efforts.

The Abyss is, in fact, an enormous subterranean mining complex beneath the Clocktower, dug out over the course of several years. It spans several thousands of kilometers into the Earth, and is responsible for most of the employment of the City of Myrce. An extensive magnetic railroad spirals down into the Abyss, in which enormous turbocarts transport raw materials back to the surface for processing. The mines are mostly operated by Humans equipped with beamdrills, mining laser cutters, and advanced ore sensors but are heavily assisted by a large contingency of 100,000 ASP-7 Labor Droids and 10,000 KM1 Mining Droids.

Substances that are being mined are: diamonds, aurodium, silver, silicon, and indium.

The Catacombs:

Where do the stairs lead...?
The Catacombs were constructed long before the arrival of House Savona to the planet of Arkania during the Age of Chaos. No one really knows the origins of the Catacombs, but it now serves as a sanctuary for the City of Myrce's colony of Graug. The Catacombs are significantly warmer than the surface of the city, consistently staying at 25°C, and the reason for this phenomenon is unknown as no one has ever reached the bottoms of the Catacombs with exception to the Graug inhabiting it. Some speculate that the bottom of the Catacombs reach a pocket of molten lava, while others suggest the existence of a Sith Temple and a horde of Terentatek, but none of theories have ever been proven as the strongest and highest grade sensors are unable to reach the bottom of the Catacombs.

Within the Catacombs, a titanic staircase made of intricately carved stone connects the surface of the planet to the supposed bottoms of the Catacombs. One step is several hundred meters in length and depth, and the architects are still perplexed by the runes that cover the entirety of the structure. On the upper steps of the Catacombs, the Graug have created several housing complexes, water treatment facilities, and military training facilities, relying completely on House Savona for the food supplies and building resources. In exchange, the Graug provide the City of Myrce full domain over its paramilitary force of 4,000, with 46,000 in reserves.

It is vaguely rumored agmonst the upper echelon of House Savona that the secrete genetic laboratories of House Savona were relocated to the bottom of the Catacombs, but anyone who has spoken of this rumor publicly has mysteriously vanished...

Description:
Established during the Era of Chaos on the homeworld of Arkanians, Arkania, the City of Myrce was founded by House Savona and is the home of [member='Ciara'].

History:
Operating far away from the various mining cities and metropolises of Arkania, the City of Myrce was founded in the mountainous region of the Far North. Despite its potential richness in natural resources, the financial costs and seemingly insurmountable risks due to the unstable terrain prevented the government of Arkania from attempting to mine in the Far North. The diamond-rich tundra of Arkania was easily accessible and easy to mine, making the conquest of the Far North an unnecessary feat.

During the Age of Chaos, House Savona exploited the weakness of the local government of Arkania and returned to its rightful homeland after its forcible exile centuries in the past. The Gulag Plague was merciless to the pre-existing population of Arkania and thus, allowed for House Savona to ignore the protests of the local government without problem. Due to its persecution and exile by Arkanians, House Savona adopted a policy of absolute equality amongst all people, including the generally accepted secondary race, the Arkanian Offshoots. This attracted many Arkanian Offshoots who sought the same rights and powers that were given to their Arkanian counterparts, making them the dominant demographic in the City of Myrce.

Furthermore, House Savona opened the borders of the City of Myrce to Human immigrants who sought refuge from the endless chaos of the galaxy; however, House Savona actively rejected any aliens from entering. This was not due to xenophobia, but an act of passive rebellion against the rule of the Republic, which had alienated and ostracized Arkanians as a whole for their scientific experiments. After the near extermination of the Graug by the Republic, House Savona housed refuges from the Imperial Clan deep within the Catacombs, hiding their existence from the rest of the galaxy and expanding their numbers to utilize as their own paramilitary force.
