"A Dark Jedi, on the other hand, has much smaller ambitions. He—or she—thinks only of himself. He acts alone. The ultimate goal is not galactic conquest, but personal wealth and importance. Like a common thug or criminal, he revels in cruelty and selfishness. He preys upon the weak and vulnerable, spreading misery and suffering wherever he goes."
-- Jedi Master Obba.
Biography
Arixa Pazela was a Force-sensitive human female Dark Jedi who joined the Sith Covenant in 902 ABY.
Born on the planet Almania (a relatively unheard of star system located in the Outer Rim Territories) Arixa is a descendant of Darth Vazela -- a deceased Sith Lord (from the eighth Sith Empire dynasty) who was thought to have been assassinated during the height of the One Sith Wars after he launched an unsuccessful challenge to kill the Dark Lord of the Sith and subsequently take their mantle for himself.
After he was ambushed on Prakith by a multitude of other Sith Lords (who mobilised to defend their master during the Rule of One) Vazela was believed to have been killed during the ambush. However, he would inexplicably survive the ordeal, and afterwards, Vazela would retreat from known space out into the Unknown Regions where he would later discover Gulamendis: the homeworld of an obscure intergalactic invader known as The Primeval. During this time Vazela would become a General in their ranks and served as a military leader overseeing conquests across a multitude of star systems and unknown alien worlds found in Wild Space through into the fringes of the Outer Rim Territories all the while he was forgotten by the Sith.
Half-a-century later (long after the fall of the Primeval during an era where their invasion of the Stygian Caldera has been forgotten) a woman sharing the same name as Vilox Pazela traverses the galaxy in search of fame, fortune and to write their own legacy upon the stars.
Despite being classified as a 'Dark Jedi', Arixa Pazela has never been a Jedi and holds no seminal ties to them or their various sects that are scattered throughout the galaxy. Conversely, despite her heritage stretching back to a Sith Lord (who had once ruled the Sith Empire during it's eighth dynasty) Arixa holds no ties to the Sith neither and is not a believer in the Sith Code or any of the other rules, ideologies and philosophies that have been invented since the rise and fall of the many different Sith dynasties that have come about since the end of the Four-Hundred Year Darkness.
This is in contradiction to others who have come through the ranks of the Sith Covenant who are an amalgamation of different aliens and Sith who have their own views or superstitions about the Dark Side of the Force with the Covenant styling themselves similarly to the ancient Brotherhood of Darkness. To Arixa the Force is merely a tool to advance herself and her own life through the accumulation of wealth or other material goods to increase her standing and importance with a mindset not unlike that of a petty criminal. Therefore joining the ranks of the Sith Covenant, who perform raids upon other star systems, or offered avenues to promote herself and her Force abilities, were just another example of a 'means to an end' for Arixa. This is not to say that she does not have her own beliefs, however.
For example, like many other humans from Almania, Arixa holds a deep bond to their homeland and cares deeply about the people who live there which created a dichotomy between the good and bad aspects that this young woman holds within while she juxtaposes a life of criminality verses the philopatry that keeps Arixa tied to her seminal past. In particular she holds reverence for the myth of the Hendanyn and how one mythological warlord freed the Almanian-Human population from a caste of evil rulers from the moon of Pydyr who were said to have enslaved her people a millennia ago.
The myth alludes to an ancient Human called Kueller, who during the Almanian Uprising, exterminated the native Pydyrian species in order to his free the people from their inhumane rule and enslavement. This tale, which has undoubtedly been changed over the millennia, and is therefore is not entirely accurate to the true events of the past, was passed down through the generations on Almania as a tale of freedom fighting and victory to bolster the spirit on what is otherwise a destitute, backwatered world marred with a dark past due to the Almanian systems close proximity to the Stygian Caldera and the Sith Worlds within.
Strengths and Weaknesses.
Strengths:
- Force-Sensitivity: Arixa is a strong Force-sensitive and retains a rudimentary understanding of basic Force Powers.
- Guns: Using blasters, or other guns, is not outside of Arixa's remit, and with thanks to her Force-sensitivity, she is quick on picking up any type of ranged weapon to make it her own.
- Unrefined: Unlike the Jedi, or even the Sith, this Dark Jedi and her abilities with the Lightsaber, or talents with the Dark Side of the Force, can be summarized by the word 'unrefined'. This woman is self-taught and so is lacking in her development in comparison to those who have been trained in the ways of the Force.
Threads:
- System Shock: Fear Control - The Imperial prison ship Twilight Gladius has been taken over by the renegade Sith Lord, Xan Atropus. It is apart of a cunning plan to get planet side upon the heart of the Galactic Empire as the Sith Covenant launch their invasion to take Imperial Centre (or as it is known by most as Coruscant) away from the regime who destroyed the Galactic Alliance.
- The Second Conclave - Imperial Centre had fallen under the control of the Sith Covenant. Yet, a Dark Jedi, who found herself an unwillingly participant of the battle, seeks to flee the planet and escape, unaware that Coruscant's new occupiers have links to her dark past.
