Intent: To upgrade the shatterguns made by ARGH, create their first mass-produced weapon for Galactic market, provide smuggler, bounty-hunter, and gunslinger characters with an option for a new stylish weapon

Modularity: Can be made from Bronzium instead of Durasteel for aesthetic reasons. Each gun has a railing on the spine of the gun allows for addition of custom scopes, the weapon system can house additional custom system under the barrel, most often it is a flashlight or a laser targeting unit, but it can house attachment systems made by ARGH like the miniature variant of Flamer.

Comes in Standard and Heavy Variant, standard variant has the same length as previous standard ARGH shattergun pistols, while the heavy variant is larger, with longer magnetic rail to launch its projectiles at greater speed at the cost of being heavier.

Special Features:
  • Multicaliber Magazine and Bore- adopted from original Verpine Shatterguns and the previous SP-2 pistol models used by ARGH, the weapon can be loaded with ammunition of different calibers other than the standard small caliber pellets it comes with, the only requirement is that the ammunition needs to be able to react with magnets in order to be propelled by the magnetic railing. How effective such ammunition would be and how much of it can be loaded into the weapon depends on its density and size, special ammunition needs to be submitted separately.
  • Modularity railing- adopted from SP-1, railing on top and below the barrel for additional systems like computerized scopes, flashlights, or other modularity systems like miniature Flamer made by ARGH.
  • Miniature repulsorlift system- adopted from SP-1, miniature repulsorlift system that dampens the effect of recoil from the weapon and helps deal with its weight in order to make it more manageable for common soldiers or users not used to heavy pistols.
  • Sound dampening within the barrel- adopted from SP-1, a safety mechanism within the barrel that not only makes firing the bullet a silent process until it exits the barrel, to a degree as explained later, it negates the effects of sonic boom when the bullet breaks the sound barrier within the barrel, preventing the weapon from being damaged or exploded every time it fires.

Strengths:
  • Hypervelocity pellets- the greatest strength of a shattergun is how fast it can fire its small pellets. The projectiles travel faster than the speed of sound, meaning they would hit their target before one would hear them cutting through the air. As a result the gun has a wonderful armor penetrating capabilities, firing with enough kick to penetrate most personal models (excluding phrik and beskar armor) and even light-vehicle armor (Same as SP-1), Standard variant can easily penetrate armor with ratings 1-7 while the heavy variant easily damages armor 1-9, of course this depends on the material armor is made out of and the range between the gun and the target.
  • Modularity- due to the modularity rails and multiple variants the gun has higher degree of modification to suit the user's needs, making it more versatile than a standard shattergun.
  • Burst action- because of the rotating magnetic drum the gun is able to "fan the hammer" automatically and fire in a burst of 6 pellets in quick succession by quickly rotating the drum and firing the pellets within. This process happens too fast for the pellets to be loaded back at the same time without causing a jam, preventing continuous automatic fire, instead after each burst the user needs to spin the barrel again so it could be reloaded, during the reload the magnetic rails and other systems like repulsorlift and sound dampening also take time to recharge, letting the gun be fired as soon as the chamber is reloaded.
  • Sustained charge- the Gados adopted the technology of sustained magnetic charge, it is when one magnetic railing, the barrel, is in state of constant magnetic charge while the other portion of the railing, the rotating chamber, deactivates after each firing process to recharge, this allows the gun to fire in quicker succession than a standard shattergun, waiting less time before the trigger can be pulled again as one does not need to wait for the rails or other systems to recharge.
Weaknesses:
  • Weight- heavier than most pistols on the market, these weapons have greater amount of recoil as well, this is especially visible in the Heavy variant of these revolvers. While the miniature repulsorlift systems do negate this to the point where the guns are manageable, they cannot get rid of all of the recoil. As such beings with lesser strength or those not used to firing heavier slugthrower pistols can find aiming between shots difficult due to recoil or during a burst, if the gun won't be just ripped out of their hands by the recoil.
  • Noise- while the firing itself is a silent process due to sound dampening systems, the addition of mechanical systems within the rotating magnetic drum creates a whirring noise when the drum rotates, making this gun a poor choice for stealthy missions.
  • Power draining- due to multiple magnetic systems, sustained charge in the rails, repulsorlifts, sound dampening, all of the additional systems combined, this gun is very taxing on its power source, causing the need for its power cell to be replaced every 30 shots if fired one pellet at a time and every 18 shots if fired purely through bursts, so every 3 bursts. This often does not align with the need to reload the pellet magazine, which means a soldier needs to consciously keep track of both their power cell energy and ammo count.
  • Physical- because the gun deals only physical kinetic damage it is ineffective against materials hardened against such trauma and requires energy damage to deal with it.
  • Electrical- because of electrical and electro-magnetic components this gun can be disabled by EMP, Ionic, or Electrical damage. However, due to its vital electric systems being protected within the small Graphite capsule, such damage does not disable it permanently, only causing the magnetic rails to lose their electrical charge and requiring for them to be completely recharged before firing again, a process that usually takes a few seconds.

Description: HVKF-SP-3, known as the Magnetic Revolver or the Gados Magnetic Revolver is another step towards making a fully automatic handheld shattergun. It was made in unison with the production of HVKF-SR-2, a rifle version of the weapon also known as the Magnetic Repeater (To be submitted separately), and the idea behind it was rather simple, to take the existing pistol and rifle models of the weapons and combined them with the automatic loading and rotation systems used before in weapons such as RC-2 or VG-1. The engineering process was somewhat successful, while the full automation of handheld shatterguns was not reached yet due to limitations of the power supply these guns can possess without becoming too heavy or too bulky, partial automation process was installed on the weapon system. Instead of rotating full magnetic barrels like in the RC series, only portion of the magnetic rails rotated in a form of a magnetic loading chamber, based on the rotating loading chamber within VG-1. In this process the main portion of the magnetic rail housed in the barrel sustains a continuous magnetic charge while the portions within the rotating chamber burst in magnetic charge one at a time, allowing better energy management within the weapon's systems so that the gun can be fired more often than the previous SP-1.

Although these guns inherited the larger power cell from the original SP-1 design, able to maintain the magnetic accelerators, a miniature repulsorlift system, sound dampening systems incorporated into the barrel, and additional systems like computerized scope for the pistol, or modifications under the barrel, they still suffer from the drain multiple magnetic systems have on the battery. As such the power cells of the pistols needs to be replaced every 30 shots if fired one pellet at a time and every 18 shots if fired purely through bursts, in other words every 3 bursts, this does not change between the standard and heavy variants of the guns, as the heavy variants have capacity to carry larger power cells, making the drain-batter relationship proportional. This means that rather than worrying about the metal pellets used for ammunition the user needs to keep track of the power levels within the power source, replacing the power-pack more often than the pellet magazine. Still, the user should carry spare magazines with them to replace the pellets once the ammo within the weapon runs dry. Because the pellet magazine is housed within the pistol's stock, as with magazines of automatic pistols, the larger Heavy variant can carry a larger magazine, which in turn means greater degree of ammo capacity.

The capacity for modifications allows a degree of versatility as every user can customize a gun to suit their needs and prepare better for their missions. This is further aided by including a multi-caliber magazine and bore, feature imported from the original Shatterguns from Verpine design and the previous SP-2 pistols Abregado designed. This allows bullets of caliber different than the default small caliber pellets the gun was tasted with. However to be fired from this weapon a bullet needs to include some ferrous material in order to interact with the magnetic propulsion system.

The standard variant of Magnetic Revolver has the same firepower and armor penetration as SP-1, able to achieve penetration against most personal armor models (excluding phrik and beskar armor) and even light-vehicle armor, this can be quantified as penetration on average armor ratings of 1-7, depending on the material armor is made out of, materials with weaker resistance to physical projectiles are easier to penetrate while harder materials are not penetrated so easily. The Heavy variant is able to achieve even greater velocity on its projectiles, which in turn means greater force, penetrating on average armor ratings 1-9, especially in point blank range when only the hardest and thickest armor can stop the bullets spewed by this shattergun. On the downside this degree of firepower creates a lot of recoil, the increased weight when compared to previous SP-1 models doesn't help. This makes the gun much more unruly and difficult to fire numerous times, as opposed to the much more manageable SP-1 model. The recoil isn't that bad with the lighter Standard variant, a common spacer or moisture farmer would be able to handle a gun like that, although they would require some time to get used to the kick-back, especially when fired in a burst. The Heavy variant on the other hand requires greater skill or strength, designed for real hardened warriors, hunters, and gunslingers who could appreciate such a weapon and know how to handle it.

The true innovation of this weapon system is its ability to fire in bursts, a feature not seen before in pistol variants of shatterguns. This process is done by pulling on the trigger and holding it, releasing the trigger right away fires only a single pellet and rotates the chamber, loading another pellet into the now empty slot. Holding the trigger on the other hand spins the magnetic chamber, firing one pellet after another in quick succession until 6 shots are fired and the chamber is emptied. Due to the high speed of rotation pellets cannot be loaded into the chamber during the process without jamming the gun, so the chamber needs to be reloaded after every burst, this is done by pulling on the hammer-like lever behind the firing chamber, which causes it to spin with a satisfying whir and reload the pellets from its magazine. During this reload process, which takes between 1 to 2 seconds the main magnetic rail within the barrel shuts down and recharges, preparing itself for more firing or another burst. Gunslingers skilled enough are able to fire at multiple targets during the burst, moving the pistol while it fires to spread the pellets. Due to the recoil when the gun fires in a burst the pellets do not fly between each other in a straight line, rather they have a small amount of spread, firing in a tight group.

Usually Abregado's Guild of Hammers would not have the industrial capacity or resources to mass-produce such weapons with features like multi-caliber magazines and bores, however for this reason HK reached out to Firemane, a tier-6 company at a time in order to receive their aid in production in order to mass-produce these pistols with all bells and whistle. These magnetic revolvers are meant to be a product that puts Guild of Hammer with stronger position on Galactic stage, allowing them to produce enough of these weapons to set up deals with multiple factions and spread their name into multiple regions. During the advertisement campaign these weapons have been portrayed as a weapon of the modern rugged explorer or hunter, putting them into hands of spacers charting new courses and fighting off pirates, colonists protecting their homes while making a new life for themselves, or bounty hunters bringing criminals to justice, using the humble slogan of "The Gun That Won The Outer Rim".

In conclusion, this is a join project between ARGH and Firemane, designed on Abregado with production split between ARGH and Firemane, very similar to the original SP-1 shatterguns made by Abregado only with upgraded fire-rate capacity by allowing it to fire more often than SP-1 and to fire in bursts. This comes at a cost of the guns being heavier than the original SP-1, causing more recoil in the hands of their users. While the Standard variant of the Magnetic Revolver has the same amount of fire power and armor penetration as SP-1 pistols, the Heavier variant has been created to increase that firepower capacity and fire with even more kick. However both variants suffer from quickly depleting power sources, requiring for their power packs to be switched out more often than the actual ammo magazine to be reloaded.
