Dark Five

A gang/organization[unknown] believed to be in control of the under levels of Coruscant. Although said claim cannot be confirmed by any evidence. Above world has seen no evidence to prove such an entity exists. However all informants at the surface levels swear on it. Claims range from supernatural Gods to Sith and Jedi Lords working together. Still Senior Detective Sevn Starlighter considered it enough to run a full investigation, ran for Six months. Results inconclusive, all we have is the above shown holovid freeze frame. The man in the figure is supposed to be the leader of the Dark Five, he is also the only member seen by witnesses. Again tending to put this organization more as myth than anything concrete.
We have no name, no base of operations, No known aliases.
Investigation suspended. Officer demoted.

The man scrunched up the printed report and threw it away. The crumpled piece of plaspaper had cost him a small fortune. Breaking into the computers of the Coruscant Police Department was no joke. However it was worth nothing now. It had granted to him all the knowledge it could. That one picture had confirmed it.

"Master."

His voice was broken and echoed softly. Hauntingly. His face was pitted and scarred, tattoos adorned his face. Sith tattoos. His name was Darth Blight. A simple name. For a simple man. Blight had once been a Jedi, and then had lost someone dear to him. Being a simple man, he had simply followed his instincts. Murder only cemented his path. Eventually he found himself on Korriban living on Tuk'ata, drawn to the darkness that lingered beyond the gates of Obsidian, yet afraid to approach it. That was where Archon Kaan found him. And gave him his name. To Blight, Kaan was an elemental being. Such power commanded by the Sith Lord belonged only in the hands of deities not mortals. He communed with the dead, often binding them and breaking them against his will, he stole the very life from the living. Feeding it into his creations and creatures. He created unbelievable devices and spells. Compared to the Jedi who had warned so long against the horrors of the Sith, Kaan did not seem a monster...he seemed a God.

Perplexed Blight tried his best to find out as much as he could about his Master. He found that his Master too had once been a Jedi. He learned that he had been trained as a Sith by the legendary Dream King. When his master was younger, he had challenged the Sith at every turn, striking down the weak among the order. He had striven to ever throw the Galaxy into chaos. Many times he had succeeded. Stories were told in hushed whispers of how Kaan died and was spat back out of Chaos. Too hard for hell. But the same whispers also mentioned that he returned changed. Somehow no longer the Sith he once was.

Blight would not know how much he had changed, until the day he was Knighted. Archon Kaan came to him alone in the Valley of Dark Lords. Before the dead Sith of old Kaan challenged him to a duel to the death. That was the day he learned his master's Sith Name.

Darth Ragnos.

The fight lasted for hours. Darth Blight had been trained exceptionally well. He knew all the spells, all the tricks and he was younger...stronger. Blight gained the edge though he did not come away unharmed. The scars on his face were proof of this. But eventually he triumphed. Their battle caused a cave in and Blight managed to push his old master into the landfall. Archon Kaan's body was consumed by Korriban and Darth Blight won the right to call himself a Sith.

Or so everyone thought.

Everyone but Blight himself. The thought had always nagged at him. When he fought Kaan the difference in power between them had been laughably small. Yet he remembered a time when his Master had unleashed himself upon his enemies and Blight had nearly fainted in terror. The man was immensely powerful in the force. Yet he had felt none of this power during his battle. He had been too shocked and enraged to notice this then. But he had noticed it later. And the thought had struck.

And so Darth Blight followed a long cold trail. He followed it the way his Master had taught him and a few lives ended along the way. But the trail ended in Coruscant. And he found nothing on Coruscant. Not for months. An year passed, and finally he chanced upon something interesting. Tall tales of Gods and Demons rampaging in the Undercity. Of a gang mightier than all the others combined, of how there were only five of them. It felt right, so Blight investigated further. And now he had found him.

His master.

Darth Blight was a simple man. Prone to simple deeds. It was time for him to face Darth Ragnos, and find out the true difference between them.
