SPECIAL FEATURES

 • Adhesive Polymer: The adhesive polymer is incredibly sticky and made from a carbonic alloy. The Polymer will basically sick to anything, its very resilient. Virtually anything that doesn’t burn it or eat away at it with acid will stick to this even more, making for a goopy mess.

 • Mounts: The APR-4 has both over and under barrel weapon attachments.

 • Nonlethal: The adhesive polymer does not hurt people, to be honest it usually does no damage and is more of an annoyance/restraint weapon than it is one to kill someone with. This makes it great for crowd control or dealing with non-lethal means of subduing people, but awful for killing your opponent (I guess, unless you shoot them in the face and watch them suffocate…)

Strengths:

 • Adhesive: The adhesive polymer is incredibly sticky and made from a carbonic alloy. The Polymer will basically sick to anything, its very resilient. Virtually anything that doesn’t burn it or eat away at it with acid will stick to this even more, making for a goopy mess. Removing it is pretty hard to do. Someone strong enough could theoretically break free by ripping themselves clear of the mass, but that is no small feat.

 • Unblockable: Blocking one of these guys with a lightsaber--kinda won’t happen. A lightsaber would just cut it in half, then you have two globs of super sticky stuff coming at you instead of just one. Theoretically, someone could catch it on the flat of their chestplate, their palm or whatever and as long as that didn’t touch anything else, they’d be relatively unaffected.

Weaknesses:

 • Low ammo capacity: Your average blaster holds some hundreds of rounds before having to reload, the tape gun has like ten before you have to reload the polymer canister.

 • Heat: Sufficient heat will make the stuff harden, which then can be broke out of like clay. Considering that most of the weaponry in Star wars (Blasters and lightsabers) are heat based weapons, this makes the stuff susceptible to it. A simple lightsaber cleave could easily remove the polymer (Nevermind that it would take their arm off too--that is well beside the point). A blaster shot would probably harden the stuff, but the entrapped individual will probably still suffer some from damage of the shot.

 • Time: This polymer doesn’t stay sticky forever. Honestly someone could just wait a solid two minutes and the polymer will lose its adhesive nature. So, if the user shoots their target, they better tie them down fast or do something with it.

 • Velocity: While we have these tape guns going as fast as they can--its still fast enough to be seen with a naked eye. These rounds go just a little faster than a blaster shot. Someone with the right reflexes, could just move out of the way. Cutting it in half with a lightsaber isn’t advisable--because then you just have two sticky globs coming at you.

DESCRIPTION

yury-konyushihin-screenshot020.jpg

by the way, @Ardgal Raxis Turned a snail into a weapon? I'm waiting for a tape dispensor weapon next :p

Was the tweet that started it all. Here at RMIA, we are not bellow finding new ways to do things. In fact, we believe warfare is best when it is the testing grounds and heart of innovation. That was the mentality behind the eli-o’o Kahe, that inspired said tweet, after all. But why do one thing unique--when you can do many things unique.

Ardgal decided it was time to make a “Tape Gun” as it were. Whether it was sheer pride at the challenge, a stroke of genius, or a regular stroke, still has yet to be decided. But Ardgal’s intention was clear; he was going to weaponize tape. First he concocted a viscous, elastic, and highly sticky substance that could be launched at high speeds. This was honestly little more than waste from the Vong sewer system plus leftovers from vong shaping. The material isn’t force dead--its frankly just weaponized poo. I guess if the idea of throwing tape at your foe wasn’t good enough--well, just use this to fling poo at them.

The launcher was made to hurl the substance at them as fast as it could without the polymer degrading in mid flight. Theoretically, someone fast enough could dodge these. Which is probably for the better since attacking it mid flight with a lightsaber is just gonna make you have two orbs of flying sticky poo try and hit you. Once the poo polymer hits a surface it retains its stickiness for two minutes. Essentially anyone or anything that it touches or is touching during that time is gonna get pretty stuck. Strong enough individuals and machinery could break this, but a more viable option is heat. Flame throwers, lightsabers, and blasters all could do the trick. Just hope the target is wearing some flame proof material. Another viable option is time. You could, theoretically, just wait for the dukie to lose its sticky. While it's pretty off-brand for RMIA to do something that doesn't at least deal a minor amount of death to our foes--we justify it by the times we showed its lethality by shooting some people in the face. Man that was a satisfying suffocation.

All in all, it’s just a (usually) nonlethal tape gun.
