Description:
Prototyped and developed at the Denon Academy of Science, and field tested at Firebase Mindor, Denon Proper; the Apostate's Coat is one frell of a warlord's fashion statement. The design itself was created specifically for daylight infiltration operations under the most stressful of physical conditions. The exterior is synth-crafteded from a machined Silk-Wool blend and dyed black for seasonal wear. The interior is reinforced with an underlay of exotic Phrik Synthweave to provide outstanding combat durability ratings and to endure high-stress lab testing. As such, despite the conventional design it features no interior pockets.
The coat was given an exceptional armor rating during testing as it withstood multiple strikes against a Corellian DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol at close range, without a single penetration. Including reducing the substantial amount of kinetic force that was transferred to the ballistic gel.
Fashionably, the coat is waterproofed and the interior is double lined so that the metal mesh is never visible.
