DESCRIPTION

Apex Industrial is one of the subsidiaries of Apex Holdings. Traditionally tasked with recycling and maintenance contracts. It has begun to reuse much of the leftover material in producing its own product line. Cleaning up battlefields and junk from orbit, as well as recycling old stations, facilities and tech people want to disappear or have abandoned. Generally, it borrows designers from other corporations within Apex's holdings larger umbrella, and few if any really know how many corporations or individuals work collectively for Apex. In fact, many corporations are in direct competition and this is by design to preclude any idea that they are linked.

To this end, many within Apex Industries are isolated on their own projects, unaware of what their colleagues or other teams are working on. There is a vast level of security clearances at Apex Industrial from D1 to D15, often color-coded for individual teams. While most companies may have independent teams, most at least collaborate from time to time, at Apex collaboration inside the corporation is the exception rather than the rule. They prefer to pull individuals from other smaller corporations or outside contractors for one project and then return them if required.

Highly professional and highly motivated, the staff are paid good credits for their time and have very strict NDA's and contracts. This motivates a further desire for secrecy, as who wants to lose out on a good paycheck, especially having bought that next apartment to pay upkeep on, or that expensive ship that needs repairs. Credits have a way of building chains to jobs if you are not careful, an unspoken pitfall, instead a pitfall that is celebrated through late-night parties and names signed on the dotted line.

Most of the security at Apex are dressed in suits and ties, many are droid employees are actually made from the material that is recycled from their contracts. Sleeper HRD droids are fairly common among their number, though there are many standard corporate security guards present as well guarding their offices, complexes or construction projects.

RATIONALE
As a subsidiary of the larger holdings corporations and with the majority stake, Mr Black personally has 60% ownership of Apex Industrial, and his family almost 30% control of Apex Holdings as a total share. As the majority shareholder, his word is final, though he does consult the boardroom to head off challenges or issues. Running a tight and clean ship for the most part on paper, he can and does have to make deals with the devil, as well as the angels to make credits. That's the grey world of corporate finance that Black knows as well as anyone.
