You do not yet understand.
But you must find the source.

Go, seek, and gather help.

There are many places - Strength, Center, Pain.

Go, seek, and-

Bohatei jumps to life, swinging out of a sheet that clung to his skin. Grumbling in protest to the dreams that have followed since his initial understanding of the Force, his emerald eyes blink as they adjusted to the dark night of Corellia. Occasional rays of light slip in through closed blinds, giving just enough visibility for him to make out the time on a nearby wall's clock.

12:36 AM.

Dropping the bedding from his form, Bohatei would rub a hand on the bridge of his nose to try and push cobwebs out of his mind. Rising from the mattress he was on, the Zabrak would stand up and move from his apartment's cramped bedroom and to the main room of his temporary home.

He snatched a protein wafer from a nearby counter, standard rations that he had salvaged from his ship before selling it's shattered shell for a decent enough amount of credits to get started. The crinkling plastic is split in two, peeling back the faded yellow interior and the bland tasting food within.

Bohatei would bite into the palm-length bar, gnawing on the wafer as he stared across his room and to the closed blinds.

By now, the sensations that followed his recent dreams would have long since faded. But they hadn't. The Zabrak looked around for a moment, as if searching for something as he tried to pin down the source of the unnatural chill that hung on the air.

It was always fun to watch people while they were sleeping. Watching them when they were awake was more fun, absolutely, but there was this uniqueness Flicker got to experience when her targets were asleep. She was able to get close. Feel their breathing. Smell them. Truly look at their skin, and how it twitched when they moved. It was fascinating.

But then of course, her targets would wake up, and she'd have to quickly hide. Like the Zabrak she'd decided to follow earlier that day.

She slipped through the shadows, following him, keeping low to the ground. It was quite a commonality, amongst sentients, to eat when they woke up in the middle of the night. Perhaps she'd get to ask one at some point. But not yet. The last time she revealed herself to someone... it didn't go well. So for now, she took to watching the Zabrak from her hiding spots.

Flicker slowly slunk up the wall, perching herself in the corner of his ceiling. She narrowed her eyes, trying to get a better read on him. His dream clearly bothered him... but why? She'd long forgotten what dreaming was like. But she knew it could be good or bad, based on the reactions she'd seen thus far. His seemed... troubling. Which she couldn't place down either.

Which annoyed her.

The dreamed cobwebs hang at the edges of his sleepy mind, the Zabrak unsuccessful in shaking them all free. Even as his eyes fully adjust to the dark, there was a sense of unease in the air around him. The hairs on his neck stand on end, unable to feel safe despite the firm belief that he was alone. His dreams were just that. Dreams. Images, brought about by his recent awakenings.

Of course, with those recent relations had come a new awareness he had not quite adjusted to. The frequent tapping into the Force had left traces of it still noticeable to him.

In particular, his attention was drawn to a trace in his apartment.

Steadying his breath into a slow pattern, Bohatei focuses and reaches out. The Force flows across his form, his flawed method of tapping into the energy taking form. And with his, his awareness heightened just that little bit more. Blinking twice, the Zabrak looked around a bit more. And slowly, his gaze would turn towards one of the corners.

His emerald eyes move along his ceiling, eventually stopping at one on the far end of his room. An ethereal shape affixed to his corner, her luminescent gaze met for a few seconds.

Bohatei then looked down at his bar, mid-chew. He checked the expiration date, finding it was still good for several more years.

He looked back at the spirit.

Then back at his wafer.

"Agh, man, I can't have shit here!"
He cursed frustrated, seemingly convinced that whatever this thing was somehow related to the frequent dreams he had been having. The Zabrak pointed the wafer in her direction, accusingly. "Hell's your deal? Not done speakin' some weird riddles and takin' my sleep?" Bohatei continues, his tone frustrated and slurred with sleepiness.

Flicker's eyes widened, and she huffed. With a pout, she crossed her arms. "Well that's not a nice way to address someone," she stated, her voice smooth yet clearly a bit ticked off. "And I was gonna compliment you on your ability to notice me. Not everyone does, you know."

She slowly floated out further, revealing her full form. She appeared like a female humanoid, with long hair and a slender figure. But where her legs should be, there's nothing but wisp and mist. And where she should have color and features, she was an entirely black void, like a shadow. Where her eyes and mouth should be were simply white voids.

"Real nice you're giving me credit and all, but I'm not talking to you in your sleep or anything. I've only been here a few hours."

"Well hey, neither is bustin' in the door to someone's dreams and sayin' a bunch'a cryptic nonsense." Bohatei replied with a huff, shrugging his shoulders lightly. "Haven't exactly been able to get too much sleep 'cause of it, so I may be a little huffy about it. No wonder people don't notice ya, all I can really see of those eyes of yours."

As he spoke, Bohatei would move over to the small table beside his counter. A chair was pulled back, the Zabrak dropping into the cushions after and crossing one leg over the other. His head sleepily rested on his fist, supporting his arm on the table as he watches the spectre emerge. In comparison, Bohatei looked fresh out of bed. Clad in only a tank top and shorts with his hair completely undone, he looked about as messy as the wisps which flowed around her form.

After a few moments, a brow piqued up slightly at her form and comments. In hindsight, she did not look anything like what he had seen and remembered so far. Leaning up in his chair and setting his leg down, Bohatei finished another mouthful of his wafer before speaking up again.

"Well, that's good and all that you're not in my head, but you're in my home and I can feel you. So.. what's with that? You follow people as a hobby or somethin'?"

Flicker shrugged. "I mean, that's kinda my whole jam. People aren't really supposed to see me. I mean, sure sometimes the observant enough person notices, but..." She grinned. "Guess you're just lucky! Or unlucky, depending on how you're feeling."

She floated further out and stretched her arms. As she did, the wisp beneath her formed into a pair of legs, the same color and proportions as the rest of her body. She plopped herself onto his counter, crossing her legs, giving him a better view of how... solidly shadow she was. "But, to be polite and answer your question... yes. Yes I do. Living people are so interesting," she winked. "Like, here you are, talking about how you're getting talked to in your dreams! And you didn't seem to be sleepin' so well. That's a nifty thing I wouldn't have heard about until I started watching you!"

Bohatei listened to the spectre's reasoning, a thoughtful lip pursing as he leaned into the mediocre cushions of his chair. "Well, that makes sense. Pretty sure bein' Force sensitive is the reason why I can see you." He explained, having been convinced that this shadow-bound person was the source of the presence he felt. The sensation was still new to the Zabrak, but having someone noticeable against the mental background made it a bit easier to adjust to.

"Maybe I was wrong. You're alright for... a ghost? A shadow? Not really sure what I should call you to be honest." Bohatei mused to himself, watching as Flicker's form became that much more solidified. His head tilted up to meet the pearl-like eyes of the shadow as he leaned back slightly. The Zabrak listened intently as Flicker spoke, surprised by the ghost's enthusiasm when it came to people watching.

"...Huh."

There is a short delay, Bohatei putting his words together.
"Maybe it's just.. easier to talk to someone who isn't visible by everyone? Then again, I'm a pretty open book to begin with so that's not sayin' much!" A short laugh escaped him, before a hand is raised toward her with an opened palm.

"Let's start over. I'm Bohatei. Do you have a name?"

There was a pause, one that really shouldn't have taken as long as it should have to answer the seemingly simple question. "Sure. You can call me Flicker," she replied. "Bohatei. Hm. I'll remember that this time. You're more interesting than a lot of others." That comment was almost more to herself than to him, but she said it so matter-of-factly it was hard to tell either way.

She tilted her head. "Hold on now, you said I'm easy to talk to? Seriously?" The wicked grin retook her face, stretching out a little further than it likely should have. "Now that's a holler and a half. I love it!"

Flicker shifted her position once more, stretching backwards and laying down on her back across his counter, facing him. Her "hair" moved with almost the same gravity that it normally would, but parts of it were wispy and floating opposite the direction they should. "So what's got you all not-sleepin, huh?"

"Flicker it is, then!" Bohatei nodded his head in response, a curious brow perking at her comment towards him. "Well, thanks. You're certainly a breath of fresh air, compared to the signal's I've been snoopin' on." The Zabrak replied, briefly sparing a glance in the direction of a small desk through the doorway to his room. It's surface was almost entirely encompassed by various equipment, both newly bought and salvaged from his ship.

"Just how many people do you usually watch sleepin', anyways?" The spectre's amusement with his remark elicits a small laugh out of him, leaning back slightly and taking another big bite from his wafer. When he swallowed, he'd speak up again.

"Yeah! Not exactly that... scary anymore, now that you're not skulkin' around my ceiling 'n senses."

Setting the empty foil aside, Bohatei would lean into his seat's surface with a low hum. His eyes followed Flicker's ethereal hair, watching it sway in the dark. Her question made the Zabrak sigh in thought, an idle hand scratching at his chin.
"Ever since I started pokin' around with the Force in my spare time I've been havin' these weird dreams when I sleep sometimes." He replied, trying to put the experiences into words.

"It's weird. Tellin' me about 'places', to gather help, that I don't understand and other cryptic nonsense. But they never say just what I'm missin' is the thing." He would lean up slightly. "Not every night, but common enough to be a pain."

"Wouldn't happen to know anything about that? Hell, do you even still need to sleep?"
