  • Material:
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS]
  • Classification:
Other (Force Disruption / Specialized Counter-Force Material)
  • Weight:
    Very Light
  • Resistances:
    • Energy (Blasters, Plasma, etc.):
      Low
The mesh provides minimal protection against blaster or plasma-based weaponry. It is not intended for energy resistance and should be layered with other materials for battlefield armor.
    • Kinetic:
      Average
The phrik-laced lattice provides decent resistance against melee strikes and conventional slugthrowers when integrated into armor or gauntlets, but is not rated for heavy impacts without reinforcement.
    • Lightsabers:
      High
The phrik-laced lattice provides great defence against lightsaber strikes.
    • Other:
      • Force-Based Effects (Telekinesis, Force Weapon Bonding, Force Barriers, etc.):
        High
The mesh actively disrupts localized Force manipulation on contact. It does not project a field, but when embedded in weapons or armor, it interferes with sustained or precise Force control where it physically connects.
      • EMP/Ion:
        Very High
The mesh contains no active circuitry and functions passively, making it extremely resistant to EMP/ion weaponry. Even its modular vibro-resonant components (if present in a host weapon) are insulated against ion surges.
      • Sonic:
        None
This material does not offer any protection or damping against sonic attacks. It is spiritually tuned, not acoustically engineered.
      • Elemental (Fire, Ice, Acid, etc.):
        Low
The mesh offers minimal resistance to elemental damage types. In extreme temperatures or corrosive environments, its structural matrix may degrade unless protected by outer layers.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Localized Force Disruption: On physical contact, the mesh disrupts localized Force effects—causing a "static interference" that can hinder sustained abilities such as telekinetic grips, Force weapon bonding, or energy barriers.
  • Passive, Contact-Activated: The material functions without power requirements, activating only on direct touch with Force-saturated individuals, objects, or constructs.
  • Voidstone Infusion: Voidstone particulate within the mesh provides limited Force concealment, helping to reduce the aura or detectability of the object it is embedded in.
  • Flexible Form Factor: Can be shaped into knife edges, internal armor layers, glove knuckles, or internal reinforcement for melee weapons.

STRENGTHS

  • Counter-Force Application: Designed to interfere with Force-based powers when physically striking or touching a Force-user—particularly effective against users who rely on sustained concentration or Force-bound equipment.

    Scaling Summary:
    • Acolyte: Major Disruption.
    • Knight: Disrupted partially—timing and precision suffer.
    • Master: Slight disturbance—may flinch or hesitate, but not collapse.

  • Stealth-Enhancing: Due to the Voidstone content, the mesh can help suppress the spiritual "presence" of weapons or gear, aiding in Force-based stealth.
  • No Power Source Required: Unlike ysalamiri-based suppression fields or ion disruptors, the mesh functions independently, making it suitable for infiltration, null-zones, or black ops missions.
  • Tactically Flexible: Easily integrated into a variety of platforms—daggers, gauntlets, armor plates, hilts, and more.

WEAKNESSES

  • Requires Direct Contact: The mesh provides no ranged suppression or projection field. It only activates on physical touch with Force-saturated targets.
  • Minimal Effect on Raw Power Surges: Cannot stop or nullify high-intensity Force attacks such as lightning, Force pushes, or battle meditation—it only interferes with focused or sustained abilities.
  • No Full Nullification: Does not sever a target's Force connection, but instead interrupts, delays, or momentarily destabilizes effects. Users may recover their control almost immediately depending on strength.
  • Force-Inert, Not Enhancing: Offers no benefit to Force users themselves—can't be used to channel or augment powers, and in some cases may irritate sensitive users.

DESCRIPTION

The Anti-Force Alloy Mesh represents the bleeding edge of VesperForge's efforts to engineer tools that suppress, sabotage, and counteract Force manipulation in physical combat scenarios. Developed under the directive of Serina Calis, the mesh was born from studies into ysalamiri suppression fields, Voidstone resonance, and the material memory of Force-imbued objects.

Rather than attempting to replicate a broad nullification field—a dangerous and often unstable effect—the mesh operates on precise, localized contact. When a blade, gauntlet, or armored limb reinforced with the alloy makes contact with a Force-wielding opponent or object saturated in Force energy, the mesh emits a resonant disruption that confuses and destabilizes Force control at the point of impact.

This makes it especially effective in hand-to-hand engagements, targeted strikes, or assassination attempts against enemies who depend on concentration, telekinetic precision, or defensive shielding. A Jedi attempting to hold a blade with the Force may find it slips. A Sith projecting a barrier may feel it falter for just a heartbeat—the only heartbeat that matters.

Infused with Voidstone particulate and anchored in a flexible phrik lattice, the mesh resists spiritual resonance and is nearly impossible to detect through passive Force sensing. When used in daggers like the Revenant Shard or in underlayer armor plates, it becomes an invisible threat—a ghost in the Force waiting to interrupt the illusions of divine power.

It is not meant for open battle.
It is not meant for display.
It is meant for one strike, one disruption, one moment of truth.

And in that moment,
the Force is not your ally.

Looks really good and a cool idea. Really like the detail you have put in here, but, there are a couple things we need to go over.

Gonna need you to link Vesperworks again like your other submissions. Super easy. However, the second part is gonna be a doozy.

As this is a material that is clearly going to be used for armor of some kind, and the specific instances of it being able to not only disrupt the force, and being made of phrik, means that there is a little bit of overlap between the Technology section and the Armor section of the factory. While this is not an Armor, and won't be approved as such, it is a technology specifically meant for armored or weaponed applications. So, I am going to provide you with the technical specifications of the Armor Template, and would like you to fill them out for me. Gives me a better idea with the material I am working with.

Force Suppression/Disruption effects can be pretty easily go wide in interpretation and so the addition of the Specifications will help curb any vagueness in the submission and give users/readers an easier understanding of what the material can do.

So go ahead and copy this into the main body of the submission and notify me when changes have been made.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: (Anti-Blaster, Anti-Ballistic, Multipurpose, Other)
  • Weight: (Please choose a weight between Extreme, Very Heavy, Heavy, Average, Light, Very Light and Weightless.)
  • Resistances: (For each category choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, Extreme. Ratings of High, Very High, and Extreme will need to be added as strengths with elaboration.) Resistance Ratings Extreme will require the submission to be Semi-Unique. This Resistance Rating is considered very strong and are usually dealing with unique items that should be restricted to Player Charactersonly.
    • Energy: (And other Blaster type weapons) How much protection does the armor provide against this type of damage?
    • Kinetic: How much protection does the armor provide against this type of damage?
    • Lightsabers: How much protection does the armor provide against this type of damage?
    • Other: How much protection does the armor provide against this type of damage? (Examples: Sonic, EMP/ION, Elemental. You must disclose each specific type that applies to this submission with its own rating.)
