Another Dom?

Well threads have pretty much died for me with many being away or busy with their alts. I don't want my muse to die due to inactivity.

So...do we have enough active writers to work on another dom without the risk of me coming close to breaking the rules of writing more than 50 posts?

If so, where should we go? The hex directly south of the Mandos only has two worlds, Tholatin and Taboon. Whereas the other hexes have between 6-8 planets each.

What are your thoughts? Can we give it a try?

Directly south of Commenor. Then we take all the Hexes bordering the Yutan Hex carving out a nice chunk of territory for the CSA.

But yes, taking the hexes around the Yutan hex is a good idea.

There is also the brokelia hex and the denon hex you can take. If you do the denon one I have a thread for [member="Lady Kay"] that you can look at and maybe use for an objective there.

The Metal Lords are working on a Tier 3 dom of the Denon hex. So that one's out. I think that they were looking at the Brokelia hex. I don't want to be mean and take it from them

Indeed. It's just not on the map yet as we haven't had an update since last month.

The Hex to the right of Yutan holding Kashyyyk has a lot of history since the Republic having once had them and the battles that had been fought there. If we were to take that, it would free up the southern hex's from the FWC and the Mando'ade should we continue on from there.

I've heard a rumor about the Mando'ade considering going minor but I don't know if there's anything to that.

Otherwise, heading south is our only real promising target at the moment. What I don't want to do however is to close off the Iron Lords from gaining more hex's for themselves so bridging the gap between us and the GA in my opinion isn't advisable at all.

Is Kashyyyk in that hex? It's hard to say as it's right on the line, as well as Trandosha. Lots of history for Kay there. In about a week her old Trandoshan rival, Sareen Zar will be back. I'm sure that he'd help if he has the time. Now if only Vinskk would return too....

I'm pretty sure we could get away with it, it's very difficult to tell, to be fair.

I should be able to bring others to the party when this does eventually kick off however.

I'll be much more comfortable once I'm back home, lol.

The write up would be much easier on the PC.

Well if yall want in the next dom I can bring in John to do some training on how to use the Lark class fighters as well as a demonstration of the bomber I just subbed. This can help out my company and we can help push the dom faster with an extra person.

SJO has already completed their dominion of the Kashyyyk hex, which includes Bimmisaari, Charros IV, Kashyyyk, Togoria, Trandosha. It should be on the next map update.

So that leaves two planets in that hex. Tholatin and Taboon. Not much written about them that I could find. So that gives us free reigns. I have a few ideas for it if we still decide to go for that hex.

And if the Mando's do go minor, I'm not touching the Zeltron hex. Just not going to do it

Well those are the planets that were listed on the map thread update per Arisa. When a faction dom's a hex, do they get all the planets held within or just the ones that were RP'd on in the dominion? Just wanting to confirm so no problems come up.

Thanks for the link It's a tier 3 dom that they did, so it includes all of the planets within the hex. Tier 1 does one planet, tier 2 does 2. And with only two planets in that hex...I wonder if we could get away with a sneaky move...probably not...lol

The only problem is with doing a tier 2 even if the hex only has 2 planets we would not get the whole hex. At least not right away and any added custom planets placed in that hex would not be in our influence cloud.

Sure it should fill in over time but it is a risk.

Rebellions were pulled so there is no fear of doing a tier 3 right now. The only thing you need to worry about doing a tier 3 is if you can afford the extra posts or not as a faction.
