Another Day on Deneba

FAeAk52.png
The air was humid, even for the early hours of the morning; the desert planet of Deneba coated with the warm glow of it's sun rising overhead the crest of Mount Meru, shining down upon the Starport further down at the base of the great rock giant, there the small settlement bustled with what little life this sector of the planet had to offer save for the few other cities dotted about the surface, and then the Jedi Enclave which resided surrounded by the mountains cliff face and nestled within a large open clearing that split the crate with a path leading out to either side and returning to the step descent towards ground level once more.

Today, Veiere was glad to be away from the politics of Commenor, though he could not spare more than the day with his wife [member="Lady Kay"] absent and his datapad being clogged with messages from the capital regarding needs of the government that Veiere was having to fill in for. The call that he had recieved from the outside being redirected through to Veiere out of the nature of it's intent, the questions this soon-to-be Guest had in regards to the Order of Commenor, the Force Praxeum they had heard about and after a little discussion, the elaboration surrounding the fact that they were hoping to nurture their own experiences and further look into the possibilities that came with the flow of the force in ones life so actively.

Veiere had instead invited [member="Sena"] to the world of Deneba where he had promised to meet with her and introduce her to the Enclave there. While assuring her that she needn't commit her life away, the Enclave would hold some likely clarity surrounding other force users, their struggles and lessons learned, as well as the advice of some of their resident Jedi Knights and etcetera.

Not often was it that Sena traveled alone. For the majority of the years that she remembered, she had always had someone by her side. But with her new found confidence in the galaxy, Sena decided it was time to spread her wings. When she came to this decision, she had reached out to various organizations that were prominent in the shaping of this galaxy. One of these organization stemmed out of the teachings of the old Jedi Order. She had been fairly young when they were at the height of its power. While Sena didn't remember most of her own history, she could easily recall the rise and fall of great powers.

This new form of the Jedi Order seemed to have similar teachings as that of the old. Sena had been in touch with a man by the name of [member="Veiere Arenais"]. They had exchanged communications over the course of some time and had come to explore the option of Sena coming to see what they were really about. Sena had made it clear, in a firm and polite way that she had no intention of joining their ranks, and to her relief Veiere understood her desires completely and assured her there would be no pressure to that end.

So it came to be that Sena's ship was touching down on Deneba. Being K'paur, her body would need to keep particularly cool on this desert planet to keep herself safe. Outside of her ship and on land at long last, the sunlight was brighter than many planets she had seen. Veiere stood waiting for her. "A pleasure to finally meet you Master Veiere," Sena said pleasantly, a smile on her face.

"Like-wise, Miss [member="Sena"]"

Veiere Arenais bowed to her in greeting typical of the Jedi Order's formality and recognition of others in greeting and equal footing. "I do hope your flight here wasn't too arduous" He smiled, turning to extend a hand towards the Enclave of Deneba that she might be encouraged to walk alongside him as they made their way down from the Loading Dock towards the entrance of the establishment.

Word had been forwarded to Veiere from the Capital of the Systems Alliance, Sena had been inquiring into Force Practices and had heard about the Force Praxeum there upon the world of Commenor. With the Queen of the Systems Alliance off-world on business however and Veiere's recent jumping back and fourth between worlds and the two sides of the live he lived; the heads of state had informed him and suggested that he take handle of the affair as he was better equipped and knowledgeable in such matters.

"The world of Deneba is somewhat out of the way from Commenori territory I realize...-You'll have to forgive me for that as I'm somewhat torn between Government Leadership and the Jedi Order these days while my wife is unable to cater to the Alliance..."

Upon entering the Jedi Enclave, the air about the place would be noticeably cooler and cleaner than the outside for which was always humid and dense with the sands of the worlds temperate climate. For Sena herself, though Veiere didn't recognize her affinity for cooler temperatures, the inside would be far more comfortable and catering towards her preference.

"You were hoping to gain insight to the Force and it's practice when word was passed on to myself..." Veiere turned to glance back to her rather intrigued, "as I suggested when we spoke across the com's, the Enclave is happy to receive a visitor and a student of equal mind. What fascinates you most, if I might ask?".

As the Jedi bowed to her, a custom with which she had little experience, Sena nodded deeply in a feeble attempt to return the gesture. "The flight was not bad. The ship I have is of custom design, one of two I might add. Built for speed and travel," she smiled in appreciation for his concerns. Traveling was different in the K'paur's eyes. Having lived hundreds of years, time seemed to move faster for her as a general rule. Even with this her ship could traverse great distances with nearly unrivaled speeds.

Immediately, Sena was interested in his news of his wife and having to tend to the governing of his people. To have a major political figure missing would be a heavy toll for someone who was not as used to keeping the ship running. But it seemed to her that he had things running just fine. At least there were no fires and people running about in chaos. Sena supposed that had to be at least step one. She knew there was much more to it than that. Running any sort of large scale government was a job that not even Sena wished for. The responsibility would be far greater than she could wrap her head around.

They entered the enclave and a small sigh of relief, hardly perceptible, came from her lips. The air was much easier for her body to deal with. Veiere came to the point of business as the cool air of the building surrounded them. The question was what fascinated her. She did not have much a fascination as much as it was a yearning. A dark thought of her master, laying dead in the forest of Won Shasot came to her mind, but she quickly wiped it away. "I want to heal," she said simply. There was little more to it than that. Sena did not explain more as whatever he had to teach in concerns with healing, she would be interested in.

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

[member="Sena"] was correct in assuming that there were many angles to the way the Systems Alliance was governed from the Capital world of Commenor, and yet at the same time not so on point with the pressures that it usually brought Veiere. It hadn't been until recently with [member="Lady Kay"] being off world on extended business delegating with their allies and trade pacts that Veiere had actually been required to establish some form of active presence in the running politics of it all. To say that this was the sort of business he yearned for, was no small lie; it was this world, Deneba for which the Jedi Enclave resided upon that he felt a much larger calling to and one that he himself enjoyed and carried a great passion for. The exchange of knowledge and experience handed down from the Jedi Knights and otherwise mentors of their Apprentices, Jedi Padawan, learners and the future of the Order after their elders have passed on.

Of course, the Commenor Systems Alliance was too a great tool of extending a giving hand guided on his part by Jedi sentiment in every opportunity he could grasp towards the common folk of the Galaxy, those Civilians less enabled to protect themselves from the real oppressors and otherwise criminal society that plagued every nation and preyed upon the weak. As a Jedi, his position came with great promise as much so as it did come with risks and the need to prioritize the needs of the people and the will of the Force first and foremost before anything he sought to achieve for himself. This was and always would be why he found himself uncomfortable elaborating on his place and role in the expansion regions of the Galaxy; he had always expressed the contradiction in the two lifestyles and thus relied heavily on his wife to ensure as little requirement for him to partake in what her passions were for politics outside of advising her personally.

"Curato Salva" Veiere responded with a pleased smile, happy to be focusing the subject for discussion on something that he knew intimately well and enjoyed as much so; "The basics of healing are taught to all of our students here, staring with Mediation and building upon their control of the Force as well as their awareness of self before setting forward into the practical challenges of the subject. Through Curato Salva, those capable and willing to learn can perform feats as small as restoring ones stamina after a long exercise session, prolonging ones energy during training and combat...-All the way through to advanced tasks such as accelerated healing of broken or burned skin..." He would continue to walk with her, though now guiding them both down a different path within the Enclave seeking the medical facilities in order to introduce her to what was offered there now only in the infirmary but the medical wing itself for the class rooms that were there to train students focusing upon the Circle of Healers and the arts that followed.

"Have you had any prior experience in the healing arts?"
