  • Intelligence: Possessing an exceptionally high level of intelligence, Anilah is able to grasp situations and problems quickly and develop efficient and effective solutions. A high intelligence is also crucial when it comes to the learning of complex and painfully specific spells or applications of the Force, without such her full potential may never be achieved.

  • In-Tune with the Force: Having been raised among the Jal Shey, she has developed an affinity for the Force, not only understanding applications of it, but also able to intuitively feel and react to changes and shifts in the Force itself. This allows her to not only excel at utilizing Force abilities but understand how the Force affects her environment.

  • Loyalty: Anilah's loyalties may be new but they are strong. Rescued from the brink of slavery by the First Order, she has attributed everything she now possesses and the training she has received over the last few years to the Supreme Leader. Her loyalty is unwavering. In part to her connection with the Force, this convinces her that the Supreme Leader's ultimate goal and his methods of achieving such are not only noble, but what the Force wills.

  • Hermit: Having experienced the trauma of losing her family and friends at the hands of pirates, Anilah has become ever the recluse. This is also a result of her isolated training. Being the pupil of a rare skill set such as sorcery and alchemy her studies were much more focused than that of typical initiates at the Academy. Developing close relationships is something she's never truly been good at, though the Order of Ren is the closest thing to family she's had since her youth.

  • Physically Diminished: Her physical stature isn't one naturally inclined to physical endeavors. That isn't to say she's weak or incapable but in a battle of strength she would almost always end up on the bottom should it come down to that. Carrying large weights or wearing heavy armor are things she can reasonably cross off her list of things Anilah is capable of.

  • Limited Combat Training: Anilah's studies have been extremely focused. As all initiates, she has been instructed in basic weapon and saber techniques but in a direct confrontation her usefulness is limited, perhaps nearly the same effectiveness as a civilian with some extra self defense training. With her focus on Force abilities, should she be engaged directly or attacked - without her abilities - she would be extremely vulnerable.

Relatively short, Anilah is of a light build, perhaps somewhat more tawny than that of an average woman her age. Brown hair adorns her head, often covering a portion of her face. From behind the short curtain of hair, her gray eyes peer out, contrasting with her fair, almost pale complexion. Anilah's typical attire of choice consists of earthy colors and less refined fabrics, even furs. More often than not, small skeleton jewelry and odd pendants adorn her wrists and neck - purpose largely unknown. She has also taken on to carrying rough staff of carved wood with her. Additionally it is common to see her face painted with various ground plants or mud, symbols and patterns mysterious to those who might observe her.

"War is a vile thing, and it brings out the worst in beings. But it also brings out their best-courage, sacrifice, resourcefulness, tenacity, comradeship, genius, even humor.
Would that we could achieve that enlightened state without shedding blood first."
―Mentor Peet Sieben, Jal Shey philosopher

War. Conflict. Religion. Fanaticism. All things to be avoided - the only logical path the one of the intellect. From birth, the Jal Shey are raised to view the Force as an intellectual endeavor, not one steeped in the religious zealotry of the Sith or the Jedi. Anilah was no different, at least until the age of 14. By their very nature, most Jal Shey are highly nomadic, never staying too long in one place, always seeking to travel to new worlds that will enhance their understanding of the Force. It was during one such journey that Anilah was rescued from the cold fate of the vacuum.

A band of pirates had been waylaying cargo ships, civilian vessels, even harassing patrols of the First Order for some time, Anilah’s cadre was one of the last before the First Order had dispatched a task force to eliminate the pirate threat. As the pirates fell one by one to the combined might of Supreme Leader’s trusted servants and the professional forces of the First Order’s military, the former captured were freed - given refugee status and sent to Riflor. Unfortunately, Anilah was the only surviving member of her vessel, parents, crew, all killed in the initial confrontation weeks earlier.

By chance, by fate - Anilah’s presence in the Force was detected as the Lord of Ren passed by the refugees. It was at that point her path deviated from its intended course. Rather than continuing to practice the beliefs of the Jal Shey, she was transported not to Riflor but instead deep into First Order space to the planet of Skye.

Unlike many initiates at the Ren Academy she had a unique background, a unique perspective on the Force. If it hadn’t been evident initially, it quickly became so just why she had been brought to the Academy instead of the Bastion. Her skill lie not in combat nor the more physical arts of the Force, but in the Force itself. It was there in the mountains of Skye where Anilah’s talents were unlocked, her training with the Jal Shey creating a firm foundation for the training under tutelage of the Ren. Though many of the initiates were trained together, her tutelage was much more exclusive and secluded - primarily due to the nature of her skill. Sorcery.

Among the Ren, those with knowledge of Sith Sorcery was limited, even more rare than the skill itself in the greater galaxy. It was in great secrecy that she was trained, the ever watchful eye of Sieger Ren watching her with peaked interest. The art known as Sith Sorcery was a rare skill, especially among the Order of Ren - it was this which aided the initiate Anilah's rise to prominence among her peers, that which enabled her to receive much more intimate training. As her journey from initiate to Disciple progressed, so also did her already innate skill. Having been accepted as a Disciple of the Order, she now resides a short distance away from the Bastion of Ren near a small copse within which she has the freedom and privacy to practice her art.
