Junction And Yet the Sun Still Rises (Elysium Empire - Daxam IV & Silver Jedi Concord - Bimmisaari)

Lori didn't quite hear what Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch was whispering in Rex Valhoun Rex Valhoun 's ear. But one look at Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson for some kind of clue gave her the answer to her questions. It was about Commenor. They too saw the potential that her husband was passing by...

But then he spoke up, changing his mind for an embassy on Kashyyyk to one in Chasin City. Well that was good news. At least he finally listened. Maybe not to her but certainly to someone else with higher authority.

She nodded her head and then took another sip of her drink. Boy was she going to have a talk with Dorthea after this was all over. Besides Arla, she didn't really have anyone else to talk to that could understand her. It was just so terribly odd that she happened to be a Dobson. Most of that family tree were bullies.

Senator Chistor nodded Rex Valhoun Rex Valhoun and spared a brief glance at Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun .

"That can be easily arranged," said the black-haired man, "especially since the embassy district there has all the zoning ordnances and infrastructure in place to make that happen..."

Part of his mind immediately wandered to the zone that had been reserved for the Confederacy of Independent Systems - once one of the Silver Jedi Order's oldest and strongest allies. With that government's dissolution, that space would immediately be open - but he was certain that there were a few other lots that could be taken if nothing else.

Second King of The Elysium Empire
"Good, good. Thank you very much senator. Now, is there more that you wish to discuss, or shall we take a break?"

It seemed early for a break, but much had been discussed in the short amount of time, and Rex couldn't deny that he wanted a short break to talk with Lori, Dorthea, and The Admiral. Overall he was happy with what had been done today. The Concord seemed very receptive to The Empire, and his father's words and actions seemed to have been forgiven, at least by the leadership of The Concord....

Cirrus quickly gained momentum as he rushed through the crowd, skimming past bystanders who seemed intent on being in the exact wrong place. He nearly bowled over a wide-eyed woman in her forties who froze in her tracks as he rushed past, yet he saved her from a rather embarrassing collision as he spun about like a Hutt Ball player avoiding a defender. His athletic ability was for naught, however - he felt the impact and squishy sensation of a... cake smashing against the back of his head.

The force behind the blow was not enough to knock him off of his feet, but it was enough to get his attention. He stumbled forward a few steps, bringing a hand up to touch his head. He brought his fingers forward, noting the vanilla cream frosting lining his finger tips. Yet, he did not have time to pause and savor the flavor, as he pushed himself forward to try and keep distance between him and his pursuer. He was foiled yet again, as he felt a far greater impact than the cake rushing against him from behind... as if he was being tackled.

<"Greetings! My name is ECP-44, protocol and communications, and I am here looking for an unexpected intruder. Have you seen any musicians passing through here recently?">

<’Presence discovered, terminate surveillance. Begin exfiltration.’>

The droid’s intelligent processes began appraising the situation before it in what amounted to nano-seconds. Normally, the probe droid would remain almost completely unnoticed by the casual observer, or even the likes of a protocol droid.

Just as it was about to disconnect from the terminal and fly out of the room, the probe droid paused to calculate what the other droid was actually saying to it. If its logic processors were operating under normal parameters, its ruse mimicking a simple insectoid pest had succeeded. After a few dozen brief calculations, the droid decided the risk of running was far greater than indulging its fellow synthetic entity in its current perception of its identity.

This was reinforced by the language the droid attempted to communicate with it in. While not excelling in the same arena as the protocol droid, it knew well enough how to act like an insectoid so as to deceive those who got close enough to see it. Instead of communicating back, the droid buzzed off of the terminal and flew in a seemingly random pattern around the room, as if it were spooked by the sudden interaction. After making a few abrupt and unpredictable rotations and loops, the droid sped out of its loop and made a direct approach to the vent it came in from.
