An Old Sith Relic

[SIZE=11pt]Rika couldn’t tell how time has passed, her memories played through her mind as she slept in her cryostasis tube. Her mind turned to her lover, his scarred face, his determination and power. Her mind flashed to the birth of her son, how she felt the force flow through him at such a young age. Jumping forward she could remember boarding the ship with her son and her most trusted companions in search for an ancient sith relic. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The details of the planet had become lost to her in time but she could remember a ship waiting for her arrival. It had fired upon them almost immediately forcing them to take evasive maneuvers in order to escape down onto the planet. She had hidden the ship in an alcove and upon activating the distress beacon. She and her crew had jumped into their cyropods and patiently waited rescue.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The ship and the crew had becoming lost in time, the ship conserving the power on minimum life support, slowly directing power from other systems to keep the crew alive as long as possible before eventually switching off life support for the crew to keep Rikaelyr alive over everything else. The planet itself swallowed the alcove and buried the ship in a now underground cavern. Echoes of the past can sometimes be seen playing out amongst the ruins of the ship, giving an insight into the events that happened. The source been one still running cryo-pod housing the still sleeping Rikaelyr Ragnos.[/SIZE]

What draws you to her? A strong dark side pressence or is it the low power readings on a dying ship?

The past, to most in this day and age it was lost, the years of peace before the clone wars, combined with the plague but a few hundred years ago had made people forget a lot. Records were destroyed by the Vong invasion, the empire repressed certain information, to most general people the days of the old republic were but legend. To Elise though, such things seemed to only have happened yesterday. Ture she had not been alive for those events, but her grandmother had and the Ike family kept quite the lengthy record of information.

Through out the centuries their fortress in the mountains of Atrisia had remained a bastion of information, while other records burned in the fires of wars theirs stayed protected. Such served as quite the anchor for Elise's travels and archeological trips into space, searching planets that others would think nothing of, to find hidden things from long ago. Today her search had lead the women down the path of an interesting Sith lord from the Cold War, a person with a similar artifact searching life, the difference? the Sith foots steps had suddenly come to quite an end over a planet in the now neutral regions of space.

No real records besides rumors and a battle report were left over, but such was more then enough to warrant a search, and if nothing was found... not like she wasted any time. After all what was a few days to a person easily capable of living 600o years? With her equipment in hand the rouge Sith Lords started her trek across the plant's surface, keeping a feel out with the force, trying to note anything that could help her in the search.

[member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"]

Her time in cryo-stasis on the planet had let her dark side power flow out unimpeeded across the nearby cavern and surrounding land. She had become a source of large dark side energy which only just reached the surface as she slept. The creatures within the cavern were rabid and would attack any intruders that wandered in unprepared. The plantlife weaved in and out of the rocks through the tunnels of the cavern. Through time however people had made an opening to the cavern where Rikaelyr resided but most ran at the sight of force echoes and the creatures that patrolled.

The entrance to the cavern was tucked away just behind 2 large rocks, a cold dark sensation was all that could be felt as anyone stood by the entrance.

"My oh my, this is a rather old relic, isn't it?" Kahlil hummed to himself as he stepped through the old war ship, his curious gaze trailing over the oddly preserved machinery. Was this what the Sith had to work with some thousands of years ago. A trail within the Dark Side of the Force had brought him here, ever deeper in the ship. He flexed his gauntleted fingers, his expressionless mask hiding the wide eyed curiosity he had.

"So many secrets to be had. But more importantly-" He paused, slowly scatting a clawed finger over the cryostasis chamber in which [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] rested.

"P̜̩̫̪̬͔r̼̬͍̰a̫̼̯d͚̜̳̪z҉̳̬i̸͕͕̗͉̫̬̦a̛̼̮ ̖̩k̶̤̜̹a̸̙̗̗̜xa̡i ̪͈̯͎̬̕v̳͉e̴̞̤̬̳̩̤ͅl̰͕̝̼͡,͔͚͙̜̺̦͚͜ ̼̳̲̮̲͍je̴͚̪̣͍̗̝͔n̟̯̰͇͈͍\̻͉̦̘̦'̤͈̜͇ w̷̪͖̥o͙.͎͉̘̀"

A simple spell. His words leached of the Dark, flooding the chamber and forcing it to activate it's melting process. "-We have much to discuss."

Sat in the cockpit of The Burnt Hand, I gazed into the hyper-tunnel and contemplated. Echoes of my abhorrent past filled my ears as voices and noise collided into a garbled mess. Every now and then, a familiar voice penetrated and spoke. A fruitless endeavour to reply, they were simply imaginary sounds. Deep in meditation, a subtle chatter began to make itself increasingly present. Soon, this chatter was a dominant voice among my mental gibberish. Suddenly, I recognised this voice. One that only propagates through the Dark Side, as if it were the voice of the Force itself. I fell out of my meditation and disengaged the hyper-drive, only to find myself in a decaying orbit around an unknown planet. A distress beacon popped up on my display, making incessant noise. Looking down upon the planet, I felt a unique Force Signature. Like it's own distress beacon.

I throttled the engines up, accelerating the orbital decay and fall towards the planet. While this process continued, I retreated to my quarters and donned my armour. Strong sources of the Dark Side rarely came without threat and so I wasn't intent on taking any risks. Clad in black cloak and Durasteel armour pieces, I returned to the cockpit. A little bit late as I found myself in the middle of Re-entry. A messy entrance. Taking back control I set the ship down by nearest to where I could feel this energy emanating from.

Having landed, I closed myself off so as not to forewarn any nearby threats. Descending the boarding ramp, I was greeted by a somewhat luscious landscape, covered in vines and weeds. Flora that seemed more violent than the sort I was used to on Coruscant. Unlocking my Hilt, I made my way towards a dark, intimidating cavern with Lightsaber in hand.

(OOC: Had to rush this one a bit lol)

As the cryo-pod started it's thawing process, her masked face came into view. The mask was damaged from the intial attack and part of her crimson skin could be soon through the broken section of the mask. In a hurry it seemed as if she had gone into cryo in her full set of damaged armor. The dark side energy seemed to pull inwards towards her as she slowly began to awaken causing some of the creatures outside to react to the change in atmosphere.

Rika opened her eyes and tried to look upon the one that woke her "Winos? (Hello?)" she called out in her mother tongue before remembering people mostly spoke basic. "Hello?...Who is..there? Republic or...Empire?" Her extended time in cryo has left her feeling exhausted and sluggish. Extending her senses through the force she could feel numerous people beside the one in front of her approaching her position. "If you are here to help me...please wake up my crew. We must contact Empress Acina and warn her of this trap."

"Interesting", that was the only real word to describe the current situation, the place, foliage, everything reeked of the dark side, unnatural growth of plant, twisted in very strange ways through the rocky area. If not for the eerie aura flowing from what seemed to be a nearby cave she would have set up and started to take samples of the nearby growth. What was causing such a dark feeling? was it perhaps that ship she read about? [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] was known to be an artifact collector, perhaps her little trips were rewarded with a powerful item. That or something of a different origins, either way Elise was now even more focused, pushing her way through the foliage an into the cave entrance.

As her search into the depth began she halted, turning around, even through all this dark energy she could still sense others, two, one inside largely, another coming towards her. Her eyes laying on the stop were he pushed through the plants, her eyebrow cocking at the sight. His face was quite the mishmash of different things, signs of damage across his face, armored and carrying a saber in hand. "Certainly a strange one you are, I'd say it is safe to assume you are here for the same reason I am"?

Though producing a dark side aura the man did not seem to be a Sith, probably just one of the many dark force users floating around the galaxy, not only that but he seemed young, weak in the force but with potential. "You a certainly a brave one to come here, or just stupid, not that it is my problem". She replied, turning around to enter the cave, using a small portable light to lead the way. "Follow if you wish but don't expect me to defend you from anything inside that may be hostile".

The tall Sith held out a hand as [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] awoke, offering a simple kind smile. There was so much to be learned from a Sith from a time lost, so for now his priority was to keep this pureblood alive. "Virt\'ne tasti, nu'm zo draugas. Kad, tu aras nie geismano kash tu\'iea amzi. Thousands iv years zinot passed. Ir tu were tave tik survivor." (Don't worry, I'm a friend. But, you are no longer in your time. Thousands of years have passed. And you were the only survivor.) Kahlil spoke in her mother tongue, trying to be as nonthreatening as possible. He was unsure on how she would take the news.

"There are others on their way. I've no idea if friend or foe, so we must get you out of here."

Rika took his hand as she stepped out of the cryo-pod as she willed the force to sustain her. "You speak High Sith, I'm impressed." She took in his words, the feeling of despair quickly filled her as she learned that none of her crew had survived, not only that but everyone she knew was now dead. She had lost her whole family and friends and was now alone in this new time. She growled as despair soon became anger, the dark side swelled up within her. Screaming she let everything loose.

Dark side energy poured out from her in waves, each wave seeming to grow stronger. The power within the ship grew and fluctauted, consoles sprang to life before shorting out and exploding. Her saber sprang to her hand and flickered once, twice before igniting one of the two possible ends as she held the black and crimson blade towards him. "Diu? Diu asimi ki!" (Who? Who attacked me!)

She began to pace, trying not to burn herself out so soon after waking up, she switched off her blade as she sensed the other two approaching the ship. She walked over to the over pods and wiped down the frosty exterior "I need to find my holopad before we leave. It has a record of the ships last moments on it before I went into cryo. It should be in a hidden panel just on the base of the control panel by the door."

Orex threw foliage out of his path only to reveal a slight, attractive woman with a curious look. Instinct got the better of him and he gripped his hilt, but quickly decided not to ignite it.

"Certainly a strange one you are, I'd say it is safe to assume you're here for the same reason I am?"

Evidently the beacon had attracted others, something he'd expected. Although relaxing his grip, Orex regarded [member="Elise Ike"] with analytical eyes. Small, similar age, but powerful. Hidden, but powerful. He followed behind her as she turned to further explore the cave. After thinking in silence, he spoke up,

"No reason to ask what brings you here. If you don't mind my hatred for small talk, who are you?"

Audroti had known many enemies in his life. For few could a true Sith call allies... Audroti watched as his derelict dreadnought propelled it's way through open space. He had no way to power it completely, so he let it drift through the stars fully confident the force would lead him to wherever he was needed. The crew had long since passed away, leaving only corpses manning the ships stations. But, Audroti, Audroti would live forever. His stone heart would never allow him to die. A planet came into the Dreadnoughts scope and Rage immediately sensed a familiar presence.

[member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"]. Rage sneered in disgust, she was no friend of Rage's and when the Empire splintered and Audroti had formed his own trope, he had even fought a few of her lackeys. However times had changed. Enemies then could easily be allies now. Purebloods were far and few between and Audroti was confident he could crush this woman now that he was immortal. However... She could prove a useful ally and should she refuse... Rage would destroy her. He let the dreadnought float near orbit and then boarded a landing craft.

Audroti punched in the coordinates for the auto pilot and patiently awaited for it to begin its descent towards the planet below. Rage paced towards the ships empty passenger bay and sat crossed legged. He began to enter a meditative state. He felt the galaxy through the force. The planet, the grass, trees. Everything. It was overwhelming for those less adept in magic, but for a master such as Rage it was child's play. He let the feeling of life's essence flow through him, then he bent it to his will. He broke it's spirit and tortured it till it became malleable.

When the elements were under his control Audroti summoned a powerful storm. A hurricane that would prevent ships from leaving. He did not want this woman leaving before he had a word with her. His ship flew through the eye of the storm unmolested as lightning struck all around him. The rains were so powerful that they came down like cutting knives. Rage smiled as he felt the creatures of the planet reel away from the storm in fear, for never before had they felt such a terrible aura, such a feeling of malice.

Rage's shuttle landed on the damp earth near the cavern and Rage stood. The shuttle's ramp descended with a hiss of billowing steam and he exited with the grace of a god. His saber ignited and the rain steamed on his blood red volatile blade. He laughed maliciously to himself and then reaching out in the force he caressed Rikaelyr's mind. She seemed in so much distress... Rage was sure to put an end to it soon.

"Tu'iyia zûtaikima tuti tsûduma sas datar." (Your enemies are dead by now.) Kahlil remained calm as [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] unleashed her anguish, occasionally forming a thin barrier in the Force to protect himself from any backlash that might come his way. It was when the saber came out that his eyes narrowed and the calm demeanor shed. With two fingers held up he formed a stronger barrier, ready to go on the offensive.

But as she defused, he did too, lowering his hand with a sigh.

"Then grab it, and quick. Another presence has come."

Elise wandered further down into the cave system, not really bothering to keep track of the dark side user behind her, saber hilt in hand but yet to be ignited. She only turned around breifly at the small question of who she was, the youthful looking women giving a small smirk before turning back around. "That is for me to know and you to never find out, but just for the sake of things call me illiari".

Any more words out of her mouth though were silenced as a huge way of dark energy flooded from the depths of the cave, it's force hitting like a current of water. What was more was the fact she could sense a new signature from the depths, like some sort of being that had been trapped down for long, stewing in the dark side to be released into the world once more. "... seems like someone is alive, even more interesting". Perhaps this trip would be worth it in the end, but there were still to many unknown to make a decision, Sith were not always one for sharing and peaceful talk. There was quite the high possibility that sabers would fly, even more so with once again another presence descending to the plants floor.

This new aura was, different, like the person coming knew exactly what they wanted to do, this could make things bother some. "We best be quick, I have a feeling things are about to go south". Turning back into the depth Elise started to move with a faster pace, soon her eyes falling upon a long sunken ship, it's desgin and feature remarkably close to that of a Sith vessel used during the Cold War. "This is it".

Darth Animus was silent as his transport touched down on the world, the ramp lowering slowly as billows of steam and smoke shot out of the side. He walked down the ramp alone shortly after, for once forgoing his armor to wear a simple shirt and shorts of dark grey and red. His lightsabers dangled at his side as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, looking around his surroundings to get his bearings. He had been dispatched by orders of the Jen'ari Emperor, rumors of an ancient Sith vessel had been discovered on the world. Animus, leader of the Imperial recovery effort of ancient trinkets and finds, was more than eager to investigate the matter. He had taken a small transport ship, and journeyed to the world alone.

He did not expect for there to be so many others already present. And he had certainly not been expecting the enemy. He would need to be careful.

Setting out, Darth Animus approached the entrance of the cave system, his eyes adjusting to the darkness in an instant as he stepped through the entrance. He extended his senses through the Force, scanning further in the cave than his eyes could see at this distance. He walked with certainty and calm as he approached the large gathering of entities within. He came upon the back of the group, a smile crossing his face as he came to a halt. These two would not be a major issue, and he doubted he would have to fight them. The only one he may have to deal with was inside the ship already. Approaching the two figures, Animus spoke quietly, though his voice carried through the cavern effortlessly.

"So, it would seem that the secret of this place is out already. A shame, it would have been nice to have this place to myself..." He had noticed the presence of another in the cavern, a darker presence, but he had yet to see him. The being made him wary though, and he scanned the darkness constantly for it.

Rika nodded in thanks to Kahlil allowing her to grab what she needed before they departed. She clipped her saber to her belt and walked over to the panel. Looking it over it seemed it too had become damaged in the crash all those years ago. She pryed open the already broken panel and reached inside retrieving her holo-pad and an old holo-communicator. "These should be enough for now. If you can get me to a safe place to where I can take time to get rid of my cryo-sickness. I will give you any information you wish. Are we in agreement?"

She stood up and made for the door, taking a moment to look back at the pods, the pain of loosing her son hit her once more before she shrugged it off. Walking down the corridor to the giant hole in the side of the ships hull. She wanted out of the ship and off the planet as soon as she could. She wanted to regroup and she hoped a friend or contact from her past had found a way to live this long just so she wouldn't have to feel so alone anymore.

"The Sith Empire will welcome you with open arms, and tend to your wounds. I can take you there." Kahlil kept up beside [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] , his eyes narrowed in concentration. Another soul had joyed the hunt for the wreckage, and one he could recognize. A servant of the false Emperor. Instinctively he flexed his gauntlets, focusing on the talisman for just a moment.

There were many coming.

"Though, it seems the enemy has arrived. We will have to be quick to get away, if we want to survive. Can you fight at all?" It was unlikely the Sith who came were looking for a fight, but to keep the ancient Sith Lady on his side a simple bend of the truth was all he hoped would be needed. Put her in the defensive, untrusting of those who would come.

"T͓̝̦͙̜̀i͕t͎̰͝j͓͕͖͜i͔̞̼̳r͏̜̰̠̤̯,̣̥̻͇͢ ̺̯̭̖̩d̯͍̘̪͡r̡̺̳a̬d͏̮̙̗z̭͖͓̗i̖̳͙̝͚̫̗͞a̦͍̜̞.̩͢" (Guardian, rise)

From his hip the sheathed Sith Sword he carried suddenly pulled itself free, hovering in the air around the pair as they walked. "Tuti drasi an kayti ri tutmoti." (Be ready to cover our escape.) It gave it's silent recognition and continued to float around them, preparing for the worst.

Following close behind, Orex grew ever more suspicious at the lack of any detail. Out of the depths of the cave, waves of Dark Energy swept through him. He felt it like slow moving walls of water and was equally taken aback. Illiari however spoke for him,

"Seems like someone is alive"

Orex's grip around his hilt tightened in preparation. Whoever was calling out was now much more active than they were before. But was accompanied by a second signature. Another Dark Sider, enemy or not was still an unknown. As the pair approached the ancient Vessel, a calm voice spoke out behind them. Orex spun and ignited his sabre. Closing himself off was evidently a poor decision as he hadn't even sensed the man behind them until he spoke.

"Surprises are going to get you killed, old man. Avoid my execution of that prophecy and identify yourself."

Orex held his Purple Saber in front of him. Gazing into the blade, he sorely missed the blade he had originally constructed.

Rage vaulted through the rain and foliage, his saber still lit. He used the force to enhance his speed and acrobatics. Moving through the trees and shrubs with the grace of a cobra, bobbing and weaving silently through the jungle. He was an immortal nigh invincible, there was no need to move silently, but he decided he would spare the other interlopers lest they choose to make themselves a threat. Audroti felt something precarious as he shifted and phased through the fauna and knew something with a little more weight was needed to handle the possible threat. Rage flew through the tree tops and extinguished his saber.

He reached behind his back and withdrew a massive sheathed Sith Tremor sword. He spied the cavern and dropped from the canopy to land right in the mouth of the cave. His eyes spied no others as he had entered from another vector. He walked through the cavern unmolested as even the beast knew to fear the Sith Lord that was Rage. His tremor sword pulsed with darkside energy and seemed to drink life from the very air around it. It had been some time since it had tasted blood.

Rage was certain today that would change. He walked through web strewn caverns and damp soaked caves. No illumination save what his orange infernal eyes provided. He spied the outline of the ship and felt two force signatures in it. Audroti slowed his pace to a walk and rounded the ships exterior and entered a blast hole to find two other's standing near cryo pods. His tremor sword extended to point directly at the duo and he smiled.

"[member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"], we have much to discuss," Rage spoke while ignoring her companion, but not before he sought to encase the amateur alchemist Sith sword in stasis with the force. Whether or not the gesture was successful Audroti would continue.

"You will take us to your Empire and we will be rid of this place," Rage spoke finally regarding the young Knight.

Rika crossed her arms at the sight of Rage "Of all the Sith to survive all these years, it would happen to be you." she looked over to Kahlil "Yes I can fight, I might have been asleep for a long time but my skills have not diminished." her attention returned to Rage, knowing well not to let her attention wander far whilst dealing with him. Her saber remained tightly in her hand as she watched him, all the pain from her loss was soon replaced by hatred for this man "If you wanted to talk, you should have come and seen me all those years ago instead of sending your lackeys and followers into my domain."

"Let me guess your crystal throne wouldn't let you?" she taunted as she raised an eyebrow at him "Still on Dxun is it?" She let the dark side within her flow over her body and flicker off her like dark flames "So tell me, was it you that set this trap or was it someone with more balls?" She kept herself read to fight if the need arose. "Or is this all about the proposal I declined from you all those long years ago?"

One of the presences was already upon them. Kahlil narrowed his eyes as [member="Darth Rage"] came into view, his floating sword already moving to position itself between it's master and the threat. Or, it would if it wasn't suddenly frozen in place. The Knight scowled as he slowly flexed his fingers in a minor spell to free the weapon, using the conversation between [member="Reiffis"] and the other Pureblood as a distraction.

"There is no time to speak here. The False Emperors servants are arriving, and there will be a battle. So please, don't argue here while enemies bear down on our position." The Knight practically hissed the words. With power came ego it seemed. His sword eventually broke free, once again floating behind him as Rage seemed not to be a violent threat at least.

"Let's move."
