An Old Grudge

Zurx Tua

Harbinger of Puppies
The Tactics room was vibrant with rushing Gen' Dai officers, most of them were quite ancient. The set in stone Tua Hierarchy only just started to fall to age and just recently had Zurx begun to allow for the recruitment of younger members. Most of these younger Gen' Dai were clones similar to Zurx's own origin, the youngest being 956 galactic standard years of age. Everybody was turned on today, it hadn't reached the crew yet but the high officers knew what was going to commence this day.

"The Retribution"
Zurx had exclaimed with a grin on his face, from nerve cluster to nerve cluster. He slapped the table in the center of the room. The holo-projector began to spew out information which the young officers wrote down sporadically on their datapads, the ancients shrugging it off awaiting the complimentary briefing datapad. The Retribution was what they had been waiting for, a chance to take back what was theirs and exact vengeance on those who had been the cause of a great travesty to their people. Zurx completed the brief, ushering the officers out of the room before moving back to the table. Zurx relaxed himself into his throne chair, opening a communications channel with Farko.

"Ready to hit common space, Zord?"

Dim cyan glowstrips plastered along the corridor bathed both the walkway and its occupant in an eerie blue glow. The distant hum of the Judicator's antimatter reactor vibrated throughout the entire ship and rhythmic clanking echoed from Farko's footsteps as he marched through the corridor. His march was paced beautifully, with the precision of a droid, yet there was something bubbling within him that was detectable in his usually grim facial expression. Excitement.

Reaching the end of the corridor, the humanoid mass of muscle and nerve clusters cleared what passed for a throat and entered the room beyond. The tactics room. At least twenty Gen'Dai officers stood around an archaic holotable, bathed in the same cyan light as the corridor. They all looked eager to begin as they greeted Farko in unison.

Farko dispatched the murmuring with a wave of his huge hand, gazing over the holotable and then the officers in the silence that followed.

"We all know why we're gathered in this room today," Farko began, speaking in his clan's tongue. "Today marks the beginning of our conquest and the end of our exile. We will retake what was once ours and we will make anyone who stands in our way suffer... This is our first target."

With that, the holotable flared to life and the briefing commenced.

Fast forward half an hour and Farko was his ship's command chair, overlooking a particularly beautiful nebula as well as a blip of soft light in the distance which was Zurx's ship.

"We are ready, Zurx," Said the hulking humanoid mass of tissue in global Gen'Dai tongue. "Engage the warpdrives and relish in the taste of imminent battle."

And then Farko's Judicator jumped to lightspeed, on its way to the designated target.

As Farko's Judicator tore through space into lightspeed Zurx stood from his throne chair and his grin slowly declined. "Initiate Retribution, exit warp 15 kilometers above Harbinger Zord's Judicator." Zurx left the tactics room as he announced this throughout the ship in the Standard Gen' Dai language.

He could hardly wait, 3800 years they had been in waiting. Feeding off outlying planets and their primitive colonies grew tiresome for Zurx especially as he maddened with age.

A thunderous crackle ravaged the ship as it exited hyper-space, a sensation Zurx had been awaiting. He paused for a moment as the elevator doors swiped open in front him relishing in the moment. When Zurx looked up he could see the Eviscerator Squadrons buzzing out of their hangars like bees from their hive.

Soon after Zurx's Squadrons flurried out of their hangars eager for blood, they had the mark of the Yura beast, native to the Gen' Dai homeworld strewn across their hulls as they fell into formation behind Farko's Eviscerators.

The command room flourished with cyan light particles as Gen' Dai crewman manned their Holo-Terminals. Zurx made his way to the main podium of his control room as he sat in the eccentric throne in the center. The throne was unique to the one in the tactical room and was far more of tribal construction, on the back of it was the Tua trademarked Yura beast.

"Let us rain fire and molten coals on their children." Zurx bellowed out a low booming noise which was the equivalent of a deep laugh to most Humanoid races. He watched as the first salvo's were fired from the armaments on the Judicators and the Evisecerators began to co-operate unmanned and converge on the Imperial Asteroid Faility.

As soon as Farko's Judicator exited hyperspace, Eviscerators were released from its hangars, eliciting a hail from the Asteroid Mining Facility. In the bridge, a holoscreen flared to life, displaying the figure of an Imperial Officer. "Identify yourself," the officer demanded.

"I am death itself," Farko growled, his galactic basic tainted with a heavy accent. With that, he blocked communications and ordered all weapons to be fired upon the command center of the facility. In a rain of green and red blaster fire, the shields fried and the command center was blown apart. Bodies flew into the vacuum of space and a raging fire danced against the bleakness of deep space.

"Destroy everything but their cargo bays. Wipe this pathetic facility from the face of the galaxy."

And so the Judicator and it's swarm of unmanned fighter/bomber craft laid waste to the facility. Escape vessels attempted to leave, but they were decimated and ultimately eviscerated.

By the end of the short lived conflict Zurx was back in the tactics room, sitting up-right on his throne. Only the ancient officers were present this time with Zurx, as to leave space for any officers Farko saw fit to bring to the brief.

"I expect the clean-up teams have been dispatched and are on their way to the facility and are all ship conditions suitable to continue with the plan?"
Several nods of verification were given by the officers, they continued to wait in silence for Farko.

"Dispatch the scavengers. Take everything in their cargo bays," Farko barked, his order being relayed by the bridge hands to the relevant teams. "Tell the advisors to board my shuttle."

With that, Farko pulled himself out of his command throne and marched briskly to the bridge grav-lift. A long, flowing, black cape trailed behind him as he stepped into the pulsing tube, which lowered him quickly through the ship's many levels before pushing him out in his own hangar. His shuttle glistened in the artificial light, beckoning the General to board its eccentric ramp. The Gen'Dai advisors, his most trusted officers, sat in the passenger section. They greeted Farko in unison whilst he walked towards the cockpit.

"General Zurx's Ship," was all he said.

Farko stood in the cockpit's doorway as the shuttle lifted off from the hangar and blasted towards Zurx's ship. Minutes later and Farko was marching through Zurx's corridors towards the tactics room, his advisors in tow.

"Greetings, ones of Tua," Farko boomed as he entered the tactics room.
