Rellik let out a short, quiet breath that might have been a laugh.
"No," he said simply. "Not this time."
He glanced back toward Aknoby, expression relaxed but certain.
"Pack light means pack light. Sidearm, saber, essentials."
He continued walking, hands clasped loosely behind his back.
"You'll find my way of operating is different from Laphisto's," he added. His eyes glinted with a shimmer over the sand gold iris. "This will be a journey to places we should not go."
A brief pause.
"That said," he continued, "if things go wrong, we handle it. Together."
He slowed just enough for the Chiss to keep pace.
"You'll know more once we're underway. For now, consider this your introduction to how the Diarchy works"
And with that, the decision was made.
