An Innocuous Business

Willard looked from the mortified Jedi Master to the phlegmatic Zabrak to the adolescent pirate to the wunderkind running the show. He lingered on the Jedi woman, who struck him as damaged in an interesting way. Though there were certain compatibility issues, needs must. After a moment, he returned his attention to the blonde boy.

"This silkweed is exquisite," he said blandly, as if telekinetic hijinks and mildly incestuous insinuation weren't the order of the day. "Who's your designer?"

Damian felt the blow coming in the force and was able to dodge to the side, wincing as the telekinetic whip of power slammed into his inner thigh. He recoiled and with a winking smile nodded to the girl and handed her a datapad with information on it.

His attention then diverted to the vong. Smiling a weak smile he nodded, “We’ve checked quality control and contracted with only the best suppliers. We believe in quality, and we believe we can get it in quantity.” A smile crawled over his face. “Have you checked out the leather samples yet. Some of them are real soft….”

There now… uhg he had to give some attention to Katya. “I want to give you shares in the company. You profit and in return you can run protection on dangerous runs and security when the routes are dangerous.”

“You all have personalized perspectives detailing shares initial locations and expansion plans. AS you can see I’ve divided out shares to the starchaser family with my own money reaching fifty percent. Sasha Santhe has invested eight percent shares in the company with the remaining two percent going to the Sage siblings, our agents who helped make this happen. That leaves forty percent of the company up. For participation I’ve offered a one percent stake to all here with further options to buy more. If there are any questions?”

Kate snatched the data pad. Half-irritated, half-impressed at the speed of his reactions. Most boys would've been on their knees, but he'd managed to survive humiliation. For now.

The icy blue glare moved off of Damian and onto the data screen. She flicked a finger across the pad, scrolling through the information. Huh? "Security." Is that what he was calling this? They would have to have a little private chat later about the differences between executive protection and black flag operations, but still... the paycheck was nothing to scoff at.

A portable drive floated out of her pocket and into waiting fingers. She plugged it in and began to download the relevant information.

"No this is good, but my crew will want to see. We value transparency in the Heralds."

The capitano looked about her, at the metro Vong, the fawning 3rd cousins, and the random extras. Maybe this wouldn't be a complete waste of time after all, but first impressions... well, they tend to be hard to wear off.

Aeri gave a slight tap of her fingernails against the datapad. Miz Arceneau always valued hard word and independence. She also valued entrepreneurship. Before she would place any offer, she would ask the following question.

"Have you've sold any of your merchandise? What sort of revenue have you acquired and what is your profit margin?"

Damian smiled over at Aeri and nodded. “We have sold to a few small venders and have made a little profit.” Leaning over her he brought up the appropriate data from the sales. He didn’t breath as he did so, no zeltron pheromones. He needed to stick to business and couldn’t afford any fanfare or foolery at this stage of the game. And yet… she was a pretty red.. no. Shup up Marek!

“As you can see I’ve already arranged for the goods to be sold in stores as a test them against other products. You can see we also polled customers, a sample group, and got favorable reviews in both style and prices. In addition if you switch to the next page of data you will notice there is a prospectus on a deal with McYoda Burger being negotiated by Miss Sasha Santhe. A profitable venure for us when we’re rotating crops.”

Aeri would lean back on her chair. For a moment her leg swung up and down, she was deep in thought. Her mind ran through the numbers, the potential investment, the return.

Finally, she gave a nod.

"Alright, the Oiran Companion Guildhouse will invest in this venture." it was more suited to the Guildhouse anyways.

Clicking his tongue the Zabrak rolled the presentation around in his head. It wasn't his field but it seemed to have some kind of planning at least, and minus the bit of aggressive by one of the girls most seemed to be going along with it. Of course her tune seemed to be changing slightly now that she knew what her reason for being here was, or at least her pocket's reason for being here was. Clothing seemed quite the venture, people paid ridiculous amounts for them, but they were always changing. He supposed that was what kept them profitable. A lot of hauling being done with this deal though, if he could get himself a contract to do even a part of it, he'd be set. He'd supposed he'd discuss that afterwards though, in private.

There was one question he was more then a bit curious about though, the price of stock. This was a ground floor venture, no matter how much research had been done into it, how much stock were they talking about selling off to this small room. How many credits could this room even pull together even? "For clarity's sake how much stock do you need to sell to get this venture moving, and how much per share?"

Though Willard awaited a comprehensive answer to Sargon's question, his focus remained on not ogling the Zeltron. For professional purposes, he rarely ogled, but in some cases the temptation was clear and present. Yuuzhan Vong and humans were only compatible with imagination involved, but Zeltrons weren't human. No indeed.

And in the end, compatibility didn't mean a thing when it came to the remainder of the form. Fitness was fitness, good taste was good taste, energy was energy. So what if the Zeltron would have looked better with a couple of dainty scars, or tattoos for that matter? So what if she, like a human, had slightly too much nose? Those lines were trim, and such self-possession-

Get it together, Willard. This is not like you.

Damian looked down at the computer in front of him, intent on answering [member="Sargon Vynea"]'s question. "We have alot of shares up for grabs." Damian didn't like math, and this was math. But there was a way to make it easy. With the press of a few buttons the information reformatted itself into a neat little package. "For a low price of a hundred thousand credits you can buy yourself one share of the company. We have forty give shares up for grabs. The company is rated at this price, however when the deal goes through with McYoda Burger prices are estimated to double." It was true enough, McYoda was a huge contract. And there were other things he had in mind. He stared over at [member="Aeri Vyn"] who had declared her support with the companion house. That was a boon. Damian imagined a fashion show with companions modeling the companies lines....

No, bad Marek thoughts. He diverted his attention to his cousins [member="Audrey Starchaser"] and [member="Kinsey Starchaser"] and used his eyes to indicate their datapads. For showing up they would get a portion of his own shares. Five percent stake in the company to each of them. Half a million credit value and climbing. In addition to the free single share Damian was giving all those who bought in,[member="Katya Shorn"] also received an additional four free shares of the company for her... work. Others didn't need to know about that.

[member="Willard Jamaane"] seemed distracted and Damian walked over to him. "I see you like finer things." Using his peripherals he glanced at the zeltros woman. "So you're in right friend?"

(OOC: Okay I changed it from 40 to 45.... whatever don't judge)

The valuation seemed a bit high, but the House of Santhe connections had come through in spades, especially in fabric quality. Willard had been given an acceptable range by those above him, and he was certain he could justify a high-six-figure investment. Pocket change, to Iron Crown. This opportunity was more about symbolic connections anyway.

And good suits. He did like a nice suit.

What would [member="Aeri Vyn"] look like in a nice suit...

"Iron Crown will speak for seven percent," said Willard, desperately attempting to get his head in the-

-get into gear-

-push past-

Trying to think clearly and professionally. He'd just invested seven hundred thousand credits of someone else's money. The moment demanded precision and control.

It made his very skin jerk on almost a cellular level he could feel a sharp stab that took his breath away for a moment. "Iron Crown will speak for seven percent." It was a jolt from the past that was never more then skin deep, a pain that would never dull in his heart. Sucking down a breath of air the Zabrak nodded to himself glad he was in the background and unnoticed. Seven shares, well if Iron Crown was for it who was he to go against it. Not bothering to speak at all he sent [member="Damian Starchaser"] enough for three shares and sighed. Who was he, what a question.

He thought about leaving at this point, but there might be more going on, and he'd actually liked to see who else he got in bed with. With an inner laugh he wondered how many of those three hundred thousand credits also came from Iron Crown. Of course it was a big galaxy maybe there was another Iron Crown, but somehow he doubted it.

Being telemphatic meant that despite being unable to be sensed through the Force, Willard's growing interest would saturate Aeri's senses. Despite what most would believe - like Gerion Ardik - Yuuzhan Vong were perfectly able to feel and project their emotions. Anger, hate, passion, joy -- not even Taozin could cloud a Zeltron's telempathy.

His gaze appraised her like a fine bolt of silkweed he'd taken a liking to and was all too willing to find out just what he was capable of doing with. Violet eyes from the posh business woman would drift from the blonde mop of Starchaser over towards the yellow plaeryin bols of the Senior Vice President of Sales, iBorg Prosthetic Augments.

Aeri was many things. A Zeltron. A Valkyrie. A former Companion. She was also a product of her nature and in that a healthy appetite. At her age, she was fit and healthy. And my, oh my, Willard Jamaane was the vision of the modern Vong Executive.

And just like that, Aeri would conduct a deliberate and slow shift of her crossed of those toned legs, left over to the right, with the tease of a slight rub against the other in provocation. A slight perk of her brow and her gaze would seemingly relay the following.

-- Like what you see?

"The Guildhouse will invest in ten," the number was rolled out as if in invitation, precise and in control. " percent."

Decisive.

Damian smiled as things progressed. Three shares to Sargon, seven to Iron Crown and the Vong, and ten to the Guildhouse. Good. The rest was divided up equitably between those in his family and those whom provided special services such as Katya Shorn. Of course he’d arrange for Kana Truden to have her own share as well. He’d never let his master feel alone again. There would be a place for her and income should she need it. He reviewed the shares purchased added in the free shares and then distributed the rest that he owned to his family and friends, and people whom he owed considerable debt. Examining the final breakdown he was pleased.

Damian Starchaser 50%
Oiran Companion Guildhouse 11%
Iron Crown 8%
Sasha Santhe 5%
Sargon Vynea 4%
Emerald Sage 4%
Audrey Starchaser 3%
Kinsey Starchaser 3%
Kana Truden 3%
Hylocereus Sage 3%
Katya Shorn 3%
Cole Katarn 3%
