An Inconvenient Situation

If being a part of the Iron Empire's imperial family did not paint a target on her back, it seemed that her Force Aura did. And it certainly did not help that it would be rather difficult for her to live her life out of the public eye as her privileged life came with duties and responsibilities that she had to attend to.

"I suppose it would be safest if I learnt to conceal my presence however, I have little interest in combat. Beyond learning the basics to protect myself, I also wish to learn Force Healing. My place is rarely on the frontlines of the battlefield so I want to be able to help others in need," Aster smiled bitterly. It was hard for her to watch others suffer while she was unable to do much to assist them in their time of need.

"I am pleased to hear that the Silver Jedi are not allied to any government as it could put me in a rather troublesome situation," she smiled, pleased. "Thank you for your offer, I must admit I am quite tempted and will most likely seek you out to take you up on it but I would like sometime to think about it. Today has been quite an eventful day and I would like to make the decision when I'm in a better state of mind as I may have to temporarily take my leave of Iron Empire territory."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel nodded. It was a noble profession, that of a Force Healer. She had a basic understanding of the ability but enough to perform field medicine – to prevent the immediate loss of life. The advanced techniques of the Healers were way beyond her own capabilities. But just as she understood the basics of healing, every Jedi should grasp the principles of using a saber. You can’t save anyone’s life if you’re dead!

“I would be proud to offer you as much or as little of your training as you desire – although a dedicated Healer would be best placed to teach you the more advanced techniques.”

“And there is no time limit on my offer – or the support of the Silver Jedi. I suspect you will know when the time is right and I look forward to hearing from you at that time. The Force tends to help in that way – so trust your instincts in this matter. For the Force is the one thing you can always trust. It has no agenda you see.”

Sorel rummaged in a pouch in her belt and drew out a datachip. “This contains my contact details. When you’re ready – or even if you want to chat or just ask questions – just let me know.”

Sorel bowed. “Is there anything else I can help with or should I take my leave and allow your people to tidy up?”

"Thank you," Aster smilied softly when she recieved the datachip, smiling softly. "For everything."

When the time was right... she wondered when that would be. Perhaps it would be some day in the near future but it was not quite yet - at least that was what her instincts told her.

"Feel free to take your leave when you are ready and Iron Empire personnel will tie up any loose ends. It has been a long day so please, get some rest and don't overwork yourself," Aster was tired and more than ready to return home to her small mansion near the heart of Csaplar. "Before I go, I want to ask - would you like a ride somewhere? I have an airspeeder waiting for me outside and being a resident of this icy planet, I very much understand how unforgiving Csilla's sub-zero temperatures can be."

Sorel smiled in response. “And I suspect you’ll come to groan when you hear it, but you don’t need to thank me. I did what I did because I am a Jedi, not because I am Sorel. That is no disrespect to you or your situation – but I acted because there was someone in need. Which is why I need no thanks. But I appreciate your thanks none the less.”

“I am fortunate enough to have my own ship nearby and I can meditate or sleep on board, or even both. So I appreciate your offer of hospitality – and the walk back to my ship will enable me to work up an appetite.”

Sorel bowed once more and headed out of the building, starting the somewhat icy journey back to her ship. The cold was not an issue – her bracelet saw to that – but the prospect of a nice hot chocolate when she returned was welcoming, however warm she felt.

Aster watched quietly as Sorel left wondering when she would see the Jedi again. As much as she wanted to accept the offer, she had to discuss it with her uncle first and gain his approval first before she could leave but she was unsure of how to approach the stern man as the pair were not close.

"Lady Baelor, you should get your face seen to before the bruise worsens," Adair said, interrupting her train of thoughts hiding his annoyance at being unable to overhear the conversation between his charge and the Jedi.

"Y-yes," she replied and exited the building to be attended to by the medical staff who were waiting for her outside.
