An Exchange of Information (Moira)

Waldorf Hotel - Fondor

Five days had passed since Coryth last saw Nalia on Seltos and made the deal for Phrik for the Protectorate. At that time she'd also arranged for a more personal exchange of information when Nalia offered a most interesting datacron to her. The redhead nor the HRD had the means to complete the exchange then, so here they were.

The Waldorf was a luxury hotel, the kind that one would expect a political figure like the one of the Exarchs of Omega to do business in. Though if truth be told Coryth found it a touch much for her liking. After all she was a simple woman who had never dreamed nor desired for the kind of wealth that she'd fallen into. Most of the time she hardly knew what to do with herself, now doubly so.

Sighing the tiny Jedi entered the building and took a seat in the large lobby. For it was time to wait for the Nalia to show and they could finally conclude their little arrangement.

It did not take long for 'Nalia Alderana' to arrive in the hotel lobby. She seemed completely at ease as she navigated the luxurious surroundings until she found the place where the tiny Jedi was seated. As usual she was immaculately dressed, with not a hair out of place, and her infiltration protocols were prepared for the moment.

"Exarch Elaris, a pleasure to meet you again. Congratulations on your promotion. I shall not detain you long from your duties," she said politely as she stepped into view. "Shall we conclude business? I have the package upstairs in my room." She was deliberately not saying anything like 'datacron' or White Current because there might be prying eyes and ears. In any case, Coryth knew what she meant.

"Miss Alderana, it's good to see you. And thank you, the promotion came as quite the surprise." Coryth couldn't help but feel a tiny bit nervous as she rose to her feet. Something about the woman, the lack of emotions, knowing she couldn't be human still unnerved her to no end. Though there was little she could do about it. Nalia had the datacron she wanted and there was no where else she could go to get it.

"Of course, let's head upstairs then so we may finish things off." She motioned for the blonde to go ahead, "Please, if you don't leading the way. Everything is ready on my end."

"Uneasy is the head which wears the crown. It is a duty I do not envy you of. But unlike many, you do not weat the crown because you were mad for power," Nalia stated. Apparently she was in a vaguely philosophical mood.

She gave Coryth a nod at her request. "Of course. Please follow me." And so she would lead Coryth away from the lounge to the turbolift, which took them to the floor where Nalia's room. A walk down a corridor and the use of a keycard later, and they were inside the obviously luxurious and opulent room. Not wasting any time she quickly headed to the safe and used the combination to open it. Therein she found the datacron and smoothly handed it over to Coryth. "There you go. Feel free to inspect the datacron to verify its authenticity."

"Indeed it is." She nodded, "Funny how that worked out. No desire for power, just a desire to help others. Unfortunately that meant a promotion." Coryth certainly wasn't one who wanted, or asked for the position. It more or less fell into her lap when she least expected it.

Heading upstairs, and into the room. Coryth waited patiently while Nalia got out the datacron. With a sigh she accepted the datacron and moved over to sit on the edge of the bed as she quickly looked through the information. It certainly seemed authentic. "Everything seems to be just as you said it would be. Not that I didn't trust you, just one can never be certain in this galaxy." The information on the White Current, certainly interesting and useful to the tiny redhead with her delving further and further into the subject to become a true master of illusions.

Reaching into her own bag, she pulled a datapad out, and quickly opened her bank account through it. With the account number Nalia had previously given her, she started the money transfer. "You should receive confirmation of the transfer momentarily."

Nalia gave the little Exarch a nod. "Of course. One can never be safe enough in this galaxy." What with so many people randomly destroying planets for no apparent reason and stuff.

A moment later there was a beep on her datapad and she went over to check. Shortly thereafter she looked back up to Coryth again. "Payment has been received. I believe this concludes business here. It's been a pleasure doing business with you, Exarch. If the Protectorate wishes to make further arrangements with Archangel in the future, Anna Comnena or I shall be at your disposal."

"Unfortunately." She said quietly. There were just far too many body hopping lunatics. As well as idiots dropping shipyards on planets at least twice that she knew of. And then there were the Jedi that were sinking cities to save it, however that logic worked out! The galaxy was far from a safe place.

"Thank you, Miss Alderana. It was a pleasure. And I shall keep that in mind for the future, as I'm sure your equipment and droids will come in handy." With that Coryth rose from the bed after safely depositing the datacron into her bag and sealing it tightly. "I'm sure we'll meet again." With that the tiny redhead started out the door, eager to head home to Kaeshana, and be far away from the politics for a little while. After all she had someone waiting on her back home, a beautiful blonde Eldorai.

"I believe so, Master Elaris. Good luck in your endeavours and may the Force be with you," Nalia said and politely escorted the little redhead to the door, seeing her out.

Oh, yes, they would be seeing each other again soon. Well, as a matter of fact she would very soon be seeing another Coryth Elaris. Freed from the petty morality that that this one had, ruthless, beautiful, magnificient...and under the control of Archangel. Coryth's trip to Seltos had been most fruitful indeed....
