An Angel's Wrath

Hazel Zanteres

The Angel/Devil on your Shoulder
Ord Mantell
She had finally found him at long last. Karo the Hutt. The gluttonous slug that had caused irreparable damage to both her life and body. It had been almost twenty years since Hazel and her peers had been kidnapped and forced into slavery for a time. Sure, two decades had since passed, but it didn't mean the memories had faded. Watching as her fellow students were sold away to some unknown buyers, all the while she was kept collared at the Hutt's side. She was the 'shining jewel amongst the rest' as Karo had called her; and his majordomo had translated. The Hapan also bore the ugly scars, markings of the metal collar that had once wrapped around her throat. Though still thankfully light and barely noticable unless really up close. The true damage however resided within. Being constantly injected with 'drug cocktails' had been the progenitor that was her current illness, one that was just about barely being kept at bay with her Force Healing.

Ever since that day, Hazel had tried keeping tabs on the Hutt. But after having his operation busted, the man himself being arrested; he had gone underground when he eventually bribed his way out from prison. She had 'borrowed' a few of her father's smuggler contacts to try and keep an eye on the slug, but over the years the news became less frequent and only popped up very briefly every couple years.

Then it happened, barely a week ago she had received word of another blip on the radar. Hazel had been in the midst of shopping with Cinder. Finally getting the dragoness some proper clothing now that Ember had been born and she was comfortable leaving the confines of the Hapan's quarters on Monastery. That in itself had been an amusing ordeal, but by the end of it she had succeeded in getting some outfits sorted for her. Ultimately though the trip had been interrupted when Hazel's datapad had gone off, revealing a new message had been sent her way. The moment her eyes read the sender, she knew what the contents would be.

Karo on Ord Mantell. Coordinates are...

It wasn't the first time she had gotten such a direct finger pointed towards Karo's whereabouts. But this was the first time the Hapan had the time and resources to pursue him. And there was no chance she was going to let it slip by her. As such, she made quick work of procuring the supplies she needed before setting off to Ord Mantell. And she wasn't alone...

Hazel walked down her ship's ramp slowly, still getting use to wearing armour again after so many years. The suit had come together a long while ago, back when the Hapan had initially worked out a plan should she ever get the chance to find Karo. Primarily, it involved infiltrating his current den as a bounty hunter. Only now she had some backup, namely in the form of Cinder - or rather Shay.

She still felt somewhat odd calling her that, even though it proved that a measure of closeness and trust had formed between the two. Enough so that the dragoness had revealed her real name. Which, led to several minutes of Hazel trying to pronounce it, only to eventually resort to calling her 'Shay'. That and in equal part, Hazel trusted her enough to tell her what exactly had transpired back then, and it went without saying Hazel wasn't going have to do this alone.

The Hapan turned her head back slightly, watching as the woman in question stomped down the ramp, suited up in her own set of armour. It was wildly different to hers, and called on the more traditional and archaic nature of her kind. Shay struck an imposing figure, and even amusing one too as she stood to Hazel's side. Even in armour, the Hapan was shorter than the Dravala.

"Geez Shay, I know you said you had armour. But I certainly wasn't expecting that." She said, her voice masked a bit through helmet's modulator. It still maintained her normal voice, but was slightly distorted.

Heavy breathing seemed to echo through the air as the golden eyed beast stomped down the ships ramp and onto the surface of the planet. A low purr mixed with a growl erupting in her chest as those bright eyes wandered over the newly armored woman beside her. It was...an odd sight, seeing Hazel dressed in such a way that actually made her look mildly dangerous. And if Shay was being truthful to herself it was a rather attractive look to her, something she always found rather appealing on a partner was something that amplified their physical intimidation...

Still though, her lack of eyesight was only showing her a very minimal picture so she could barely see how much 'larger' Hazel seemed to be wearing her armor. And when the doctor commented on Shay's own armor she began to examine herself a bit before looking back towards the other woman and giving a mere shrug. Walking pass Hazel and looking out into the distance to see exactly where they even were at the moment, unfamiliar with a majority of the places the blonde brought her she figured getting a good sense of where she was would be for the best.

At least before they carried on with their little endeavor...

They had arrived in Worlport, Ord Mantell's thriving capital that was a bustling with activity in every direction. Presently they were in Morro Spaceport, the busiest of the lot when it came to its traffic. From the rumbling of ships arriving and departing, to machinery been moved around somewhere further in the building. And not to forget the constant talking and shouting from the various people that were going about their business. While it went unnoticed by Hazel - her helmet providing a filter, there was a particular smell in the air. Something that seemed to linger from high above, mixing in with ship exhausts that made up the most pungent scent on the ground level.

"Come on, let's see if we can get our bearings and figure out where we need to go."

Hazel let the way, guiding Shay as they departed from the hangar and entered the spaceport proper. It was busy, to a point there were densely packed crowds moving in tandem with one another. Some leaving, others arriving and most just passing through. Both woman cut an imposing presence as they carved a path through, and the Hapan reckoned Shay was the biggest factor in that. Although, Hazel was certainly providing the presence too, with a rifle strapped to her back, a blaster and knife on her belt along with a variant of grenades. She certainly looked like a bounty hunter, along with what many would likely presume was her 'muscle' at her side.

The Hapan looked over at Shay slightly, watching as the dragoness looked around. Ever since learning how exactly the woman saw things, she was admittedly fascinated with what it was like for her. For instance, what did she see when moving through a crowd like this? Just a mass of bodies with various heat signatures? There were after all a wide variation of races that were currently around them.

Eventually the duo managed to leave the spaceport and into the city itself, immediately beset upon by new sounds and smells. There was the sounds of gambling; electronical entertainment that were constantly consuming credits. If one were to look in any direction, you would see neon signs hanging everywhere, though all currently powered down given it was broad daylight. There were after all, three seperate districts that surrounded the spaceport, all dedicated to suckering gambling addicts into losing their credits. New smells breezed past with the wind; alcohol, smoke, spice. But there was one that stood out, slightly putrid in nature and it was clearly apparent coming from up in the sky.

To the normal eye there was nothing, just a blue sky with maybe a slight but of grey to it. But to someone who didn't see things as normal? They'd see a thin smog, fumes and gases that had infected the planet's atmosphere over the course of many, many years. Ord Mantell had a storied history of being a 'factory planet', and even to this day there were still factories that lingered beyond the outskirts of Worlport.

At first...the world in which Shay was introduced to had one thing that the woman was not very fond of...it was bright. It immediately reminded the woman of that time during the cruise that Hazel had brought her to not only a month or two ago...her reptilian gaze flicked back and forth between the large clumps of heat signatures followed by the almost repulsive stench of the spaceport which only made Shay incredibly uncomfortable. Everything was just bright, loud, and constantly shifting which after giving birth only resulted in a haze of negative vibes and discomfort in where she was..still, the two walked rather noticeably through the thick crowds and eventually out of the Spaceport which had its own flaws that Shy would of much rather ignored.

Her focused on the blonde mercenary in armor beside her...so small and yet looking so dangerous...to the seven foot dragoness it was a welcomed look. Her body grew hot and her more perverted way of thinking seemed to slip through her 'serious' mindset quickly. Her long, bladed tail lurching out beside her and running the thickness of the muscle along the woman's rear and between her legs to slide along her inner thighs teasingly, and possibly tripping her up...her tail however slid up and along the armor plating of her chest, then coiling around her neck and shoulders like some kind of boa constrictor as she almost forcibly pulled the woman closer to her side and hissed...her tongue extending from her tongue to take in the familiar scent of [member="Hazel Zanteres"] , audible squeaks and clicks erupting from her throat as if she were some kind of creature rather than a humanoid woman.

Eyes would wander towards them after a moment, but unknown to them...Shay was possessive of her property...and she wanted others to know what she owned and respect the possession of the woman, bounty hunter or not Shay would not tolerate others not knowing they were more than mere partners. Such a term was insulting to the tribal woman and she wanted a more fitting description, and if she had to she would give a public display.

Wait...what was she and Hazel here to do again?

Hazel was not familiar with Ord Mantell, as such she had grabbed her datapad and brought up a map. She was so focused on it, that she didn't completely notice as Shay began to move her tail. The Hapan heard it swishing about, but had dismissed it as nothing. Before it had been something Hazel constantly kept an eye on, which wasn't exactly shocking given said tail was incredibly sharp and dangerous. But eventually that faded away as the sense of trust she had with Shay increased. Now the Hapan barely flinched whenever that tail came her way.

She felt the tail as it moved passed her rear and between her legs. Hazel shivered at the touch, though she was forgetting one very important fact.

They were in public.

"Sha-" The Hapan quickly realized it however, her eyes widened beneath her helmet. But before she could say anything more, Shay had snaked her tail up her front, around her neck and shoulders before pulling her in close. There was a soft clang of metal as her armour hit Shay's.

This wasn't entirely new to the Hapan, having experienced this several times while living with the dragoness. Albeit it had only risen in frequency after Esmeralda's birth. With that, Shay had become a lot more active, willing to leave their quarters in Sanctuary. Which did involve a few similiar situations to the current one, while Hazel was amongst co-workers...and students. That had been certainly something, and she wasn't sure which was worse; being amongst those she knew, or complete strangers.

Although, she understood why Shay was doing it. Didn't make it any less embarrassing, even though no one could see how much Hazel was blushing right now. Shay might though, given the increase in heat that was present across her cheeks.

"Shay!" She squeaked, which produced a somewhat comedic result as it passed through the voice modulator. "I think they get the idea...can you please let me go? We need to meet up with our contact."

Upon laying ones gaze upon the massive dragoness there was often one of two thoughts...neither of them positive, and both of them accurate. One tended to revolve around the sheer intimidation factor in which the young woman radiated so effortlessly it was second nature. Gold colored eyes striking a level of fear within the hearts of common men and women as her intense glares slashed daggers into flesh.

The second thought...was one of interest. Amusement, commonly in those less afraid of her appearance and more or less fascinated with her existence. Was not every day a woman like shay came and strolled through a dense population. And that amusement often led to...negative outcomes. Shay was violent by nature, it was simply how her kind were. And in this galaxy people seemed rather insistent on doing things to piss her off.

And even now, when pressed closely to the smaller woman, Hazels reaction seemed to only remind Shay of the number of flaws within her code. She didn't want to be selfish, angry, depressed, hateful, destructive...possessive. She just was. Not only were her emotions and opinions of herself eating her alive. Her insecurities hidden pathetically behind her guise of strength and dominance.

And yet, Shay did not care. This was who she was and always would be, and it would be a cold day in hell if she changed herself for anyone or anything. Not even for those she loved...what they saw was what they got, and if they did not like it then to hell with them.

Either way, the red maned woman set Hazel down, uncoiling her tail from the doctor and shifting her golden gaze for a moment before glaring back down at the blonde.

"Close?" Shay would ask simply, using one of the few words she knew of the language she spoke. Honestly this planet was making Shay restless and tense...the faster they got to their objective the sooner she could blow off some steam.

"We're fairly close." Hazel gave the towering woman a nod as they trekked on, going deeper into Worlport. The pair cut an imposing figure even when they were out of the crowds and simply walking side to side down the streets. Two armoured individuals, one of which was kitted out with weapons while the other; Shay, just looked generally imposing with the combination of her height and armour.

Eyes were on them for the entire time, either from passersby or from across the street. Hazel knew Shay wasnt tense - there was a telltale shift in the way the Dravala held herself. A bit more fidgety, looking like she was capable of just snapping at someone within a moment - more so than usual anyway. Whether it was all the people, the noise, maybe the smell that seemed a permanent fixture.

She wasn't sure if it was one of them, a combination of them or the all it together that was making the woman restless.

Either way, the Hapan knew once they got into a fight or too, then Shay would move on from that.

Hopefully.

They duo entered a small building, Hazel took point and pushed the door open with Shay following behind - having to duck a little to avoid striking the top of the door frame. Which was just wide enough to allow her armoured form through.

Sitting behind a desk was a middle-aged man, his attention immediately snapping to them and eyes widened at the sight of them both.

"I-uh, how can I help you? Looking to p-purchase a hunting license?"

"No, we're here for something else instead." Hazel walked up to the desk, knowing Shay was likely to do the same. The man's eyes immediately kept flicking back and forth between the two, though mostly staying on Shay the longest. It seemed he was the most intimidated by the Dravala. "We want an audience with Karo the Hutt."

His eye's widened ever slightly, either out of fear or recognition - probably both.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about."

She could feel the sharp gaze of the crowd slashing into her back like daggers. Her vibrant golden eyes narrowing tightly in annoyance as she looked back and forth as the sea of varying temperatures shifting back and forth. The fact the woman couldn't see anything only made it so much more nerve wracking when she watched the bodies around her all turn themselves to face the two women as they trekked ever so deeper into vast worldport. Shay tightened her fist, her knuckles cracking and her blood growing hotter in her skin as she grew more and more nervous with each passing moment. The memory of her deceased children still raw in her mind...this place reminded her of that day, and with each step she made all that lingered in the womans mind was the thought of violence and bloodshed.

It took great mental effort to prevent herself from reverting back to how she was...lashing out at everyone and everything she deemed a threat to her survival which in almost every case was anything that dared to draw breath in her general direction. And with all these eyes on her, all the whispers and noise, it all just made the red haired maiden incredibly uncomfortable. She was very much out of her element and she was still adjusting to just how massive the galaxy around her really was...although it still baffled her at times.

Still, Hazel made the experience less stressful than it could of been. And as a result she placed all the trust she could afford to give in the smaller blonde woman, following her and for the first time in her life letting someone else lead. It was...an odd feeling, not being in control anymore. And as she followed behind her Shay could not help but wonder just how far this...thing between them would go. Rather or not it would evolve or die in a few months time. The thought made her clench her jaw, shaking her head and adjusting her focus. It didn't seem take much longer for Hazel to escort them to where they needed to be, entering a small building which forced her to shrink just to fit through the doorway...there was an audible 'THUNG' from her horns clashing with the metal door frame above, making Shay recoil a bit from the pain and ducking down even lower to pass through into the room with Hazel. Her hand reaching up to rub the horn that she had bashed.

Her golden eyes met the creature sitting across the room, unable to make out any specifics she glanced back at Hazel when she began to speak. The creatures response leading Shay to the conclusion he was male. And after the two had a back and forth Shay found herself venturing closer more out of curiosity than anything else. Lowering her hand and dragging her fingers across his desk she walked around to where he sat and purred, circling around him until she was behind the man, leaning down and extending her prehensile tongue and hissing in his ear, tasting the chemicals in the air around him.

"Wh-what are yo-, oh my~"

He was nervous, sweating rather profusely and trembling. Shay grinned, her fifth limb lingering about as its bladed tip found itself dragging softly across his face as ran her hand down his cheek and let out a rather strange sound. A mixture of clicks and reptilian hissing as she ran her tongue over his neck.

"P-please make it stop." He whispered to Hazel as Shay continued to do...whatever it was she wanted.

Shay glanced at Hazel from behind her helm, golden eyes flaring with color as she simply remained still and waited to see what she'd do next.

Metal struck metal as Hazel folded her armoured arms against her chest.

"Oh, I don't know. You're not exactly being very cooperative right now." She watched with veiled amusement; hidden beneath her helmet as the man squirmed in Shay's presence.

"P-please, I can't. He'll kill me if I..."

"And you think we won't? Because I might, she'll likely do something worse." Hazel knew the Dravala wasn't even intentionally being intimidating; well not consciously anyway. The Hapan was familiar with that, just being around Shay could likely make someone shake in their boots. Force knows, she had been the same for a long while - especially when you had that bladed tail wrapped around you.

"What do you say, hmm?" She looked to Shay, getting the woman's attention. "Want to give him a little...squeeze?" The message seemed to get across, as moments later Shay's tail was wrapped around the man's throat. Enough so, that still allowed for the bladed tip to be angled up towards his face. "Now, let me repeat myself. Where can we find, Karo the Hutt?"

The man struggled to speak, not necessarily out of how tight Shay's hold was but in general sputtering as he tried to push beyond the fear he was currently feeling.

"L-look I can't just get you an audience, Karo doesn't do that anymore."

"Then I suggest you think up an alternative, before I get frustrated and my partner here crushes your neck." Hazel let out a low growl, growing more annoyed at the man dodging the question. She was starting to debate whether Shay had the right idea of just storming Karo's place. But there was numerous things that could go wrong there. The first being they had no clue just how big his security was, and being the in the middle of it all was better than being stuck on the outside.

There was also the matter that Karo could easily flee if they weren't standing before him when they struck.

No, they needed to get inside before they brought death to the Hutt and his minions.

"There might be something...a group of bandits have been harassing Karo's supply route. Take care of them, and that will no doubt get you in his good graces, a bit."

"And where exactly are they located?"

"Just outside the city limits, they have a camp to the west." There was a silence as Hazel just stared at the man, who was sweating more profusely with every moment.

"Okay then! You can let him go...for now." Hazel spoke with a sudden chipper voice, looking at Shay. "We've got some bandits to kill." With that, the Hapan was moving back towards the door.
